Bighorn's Sports Grill

When they first opened, it was darn good, now it teeters between mediocre and bland.

There is plenty of seating, and televisions on every sporting event everywhere. It's cool, if that is what you want your dining experience to be like. It is not an intimate date restaurant.

My usual is the fried flounder platter with sweet potato fries. You dip the fries in a cool whip/cinnamon mix, which is pretty great. The fish is always good (never had a bad one yet).
I've had the chicken nachos and it is rather disgusting. The fried shrimp was also unusually bad too. My girlfriend likes the chicken wings, which she always gets, and has no complaints about them.

They have bands sometimes, and when I went, it wasn't impressive. This is the 21st century, and the band was playing music I played when I was in a band back in the 80's.
We did go another night, but in the parking lot, we could hear how "off-key" the singer was, and never went inside.

It's a place where you go to drink beers, talk with friends, and snack. That is it.

I've been here a handful of times and ordered some items more than once, and it's hit and miss on the service and food quality.
I've gone on a Friday night and the food/service wasn't as good as the same food ordered on Sunday afternoon.  They have a decent wing bar on Sunday afternoons for 9.99.
More recently I've gone and ordered the cheeseburger sliders and homemade chips.
The burger meat was ample for a slider and tasty...but the chips were maybe too golden and so salty.. all I could taste was salt.  I've had these chips before and they were crispy and tasty, so I guess it depends on who is in the kitchen ?  Same experience with the wings.
Also, there are usually people at the front to greet and seat you when you walk in..but there was nobody around when I last went, and I wondered if we were supposed to seat ourselves.  
The menu is pretty large with a good variety, reasonable prices $8-$15 for most.
They seem to offer a good bit of entertainment on different nights..shag, bands, sports
Most of the bands I thought I would want to see were too late at night for oldies like me.  I'm from the old 70's, 80's club days when bands started promptly at 8:30-9, not after 10 pm like today, lol.   I did manage to stay awake once or twice to listen to a rock band there.
This is probably a good  place for the under 40/30 no frills crowd on a no fluff budget.

There is an outdoor seating area with a bar, as well as  2 bars inside with lots of tables & tvs.  Some of the booths by the center bar inside have small screen tvs.
Hopefully, next time I go it will be an on..not off day for quality & service.

This place is far from impressive.
