This is where I would hang out if I lived in North Charleston. Â I still don't understand why everyone is so hung up on Madra Rua, but I digress. Â
The Mill has an EXCELLENT beer selection (Second only to Gene's in the local area) and a little bit of every thing else. Â There's tables, and bar seating, two pool tables, board games, bar puzzles, decent food live music, wi-fi, "brunch for the rest of us" and the Charleston City Paper's 2008 Critic's pick for best bar bathroom. Â The bartenders are friendly and greet regulars by name. Â The food is, well... different. Â They don't have a big kitchen so it's mostly wraps and salads if I recall. (I haven't been for brunch yet, so I can't speak to that) Â You're generally better off at the other end of Old North Chuck (The Barbecue Joint, Sesame, EVO) if you're looking for food anyway.
On the other hand, if you looking for a low key place to down a few brews or hang out with your friends you should definitely head to the Mill.
