Moe's Crosstown Tavern

FINALLY made it back to Moe's after they completed their renovations and man was it good to be back.  This place is a Charleston institution with great food and cheap beer - make sure to check it out if you're in the area (try half price burger night on Tuesdays!).

It was sad to see Moes DT close up, but Crosstown will always be the originator and I look forward to coming back soon.

Moe's has excellent bar food! I had a veggie quesadilla and the beans and rice (really good!), and my husband had a chicken sandwich and fries. He liked my beans and rice a lot more than his fries and sandwich, lol. There are pool tables and a bar, it's a fun place to go. He had a beer and said he liked it, they have a good amount of beers to choose from. The food is also really cheap, even with his beer and both our meals, we got out for just over $20.

Also, there's plenty of street parking, which is a big plus.

Food:
Spring rolls:
I've had better. It was just regular bar food.
Corn beef & cabbage:
Horrible. Shredded little pieces of meat filled with onions and barely any cabbage. It was so salty I couldn't eat it. The salad was ok.
They have hardly any healthy options. Especially for glutton free folks.
My friend seems to love the food though so it may have just been me.

Atmosphere:
Bar, loud, big booths, TVs everywhere

Service:
Excellent! Both Eric & Jason took care of us & they did everything above exceptional.

Pricing:
Ok. Most meals are under $10.

Conclusion:
If your taking a group for some cheap food and beer downtown this may be your place. Especially if the game is on & you are into that.
