So the complaints I have read about this place are regarding the lack of plentiful restrooms, dark decor, music and smokiness. Have any of you ever even been to another cigar bar in your lives? I really doubt it.
Show me a bright, loud, fresh aired cigar bar and I will show you an out of business sign. That is what cigar bars are. Go drink at a restaurant if that bothers you.
The cigar selection downstairs is good. Not amazing, but definitely had 4 or 5 of my favorites.
The decor upstairs is dark, the seats are leather and comfortable, and the service was great.
I had a bottle of Chimay Blue with an Oliva V. Just perfect. Actually left at 10pm to go to the next bar, and ended up back at around 11 because we liked it so much.
Great spot.
Club Habana is of a dying breed. It's an old-fashioned cigar shop with a country-club style bar and lounge upstairs. The lounge includes several different rooms, each with a slightly different atmosphere. The lighting was low throughout, without being too dark, which worked perfect with the dark wood floors. The bartenders take care in making their cocktails, using fresh and high-quality ingredients to produce wonderfully balanced beverages.
I can't wait until my next trip to Charleston so I can return to Club Habana.
