Horrible entrance. Forced to walk threw a tone of smokers standing outside and walking over a puddle of water from the rain filled with cigarette buts. And don't wear heals because you might break your ankle in the potholes. From the front it looks really nice and clean but don't be fooled. And I hope you don't go thirsty because the lack of bartenders on the busy nights will make you wait over 10min. for a drink.

We continue to go to Bills for the Victory Golden Monkey on tap. I love their burgers (bacon/blue) but the fries, for some reason are looking limp and skimpy. They used to be awesome. Something happened. Fix it, will ya..

The chili is as amazing as the waitress said.... believe her. Loved the beer selection and the food! I want to go in on the bar side sometime!

Went here for the first time because of a http://restaurant.com coupon and had a really good time. Not a fine dining place -- it has a casual tavern/inn feel -- but the food was good! There was a group of us and we all enjoyed our dinners, which varied from salads to burgers and chicken. The waitress was very pleasant. We had driven by Bill's for years and never thought to try it, but having done so we will go back again.

I fell in love with Bill's the first time I went there. The exterior is misleading because it looks like a nice old farmhouse on the inside, with its fireplaces, brick walls, and wooden beams. The lighting is just dark enough to feel relaxed, but light enough to see what you're eating. The menu is varied with choices for the picky eaters in my family. We've had steak, fish & chips, mussels, and sandwiches there. Everything was good and plentiful. The service was slow sometimes, but you can't blame them because it can get busy in there, and it's a not a place where I'd rush through a meal anyway.

Oh, Bills. I feel weird that people are writing online about your food. You are a bar, first and foremost. Let's hope everyone remembers that going forward.

The good: $2 Yeunglings, tons of TVs for your sports-viewing pleasure, the hilarity of the other patrons, usually plenty of parking, great place to spend St. Pattys Day.

The bad: the music, the food (it's not really bad, just mediocre: passable but nothing to write home about)

The ugly: me after a few hours at Bill's watching the Eagles struggle in futility.

Five star bar when it comes to the food and the beer selection on tap. They offer Flying Fish (seasonals) for starters ($4.50/pint). I had the Fish and Chips ($11 and change) and the chicken tenders ($7ish?). Although, some people may not think this place gives you a ton of food... they give you an adequate portion size. The sides could be bigger such as the french fries that came with the Smithwicks battered cod. Service was friendly, knowledgeable and quick with all orders. Five stars and nothing less because the fish was done perfectly, buffalo sauce was delicious and the tenders were freshly cut--not out of a freezer. Will be coming back again to try the rest of the menu.

Pretty good bar food and beers. Went in on a rainy Monday night for drinks and dinner. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive.

I love Bill's! It's a great place to go hang out with friends and have a few beers. There's different levels, with the bottom being the best. The bar is great, the bartenders are helpful and friendly and the drinks are always perfect. I go to Bill's almost every weekend! If you're looking for a fun bar in this area, Bill's is definitely the best choice.

We had lunch there today. I ordered a bar pie with toppings and my husband ordered the reuben. The food really was not good. My pizza dough was greasy and tasted of old over-used oil. The corned beef on the reuben was sliced way too thick. I won't be back.

Moving to Hamilton, seemed like you have to try JoJo's and Bill's at 5 pts. Our one dinner, we had a very old waitress, put us by a wall then moved us- to the smallest table for 2. Although the place was nearly empty, they seated another couple right next to us.
This was end of 2008, beginning 2009-- haven't brought ourselves to go back because the food and experience were very blah.
I see it has little outdoor tables now.

I've been to Bill's twice now and it was pretty good both times. The first time I got the roasted chicken. It wasn't the best meal of my life, but I think that's mainly because I don't really enjoy eating chicken off the bone (why I ordered it is beyond me). It was also a little on the dry side, but not bad at all.

Last night, we went again and I got the chicken pot pie (which, let's face it...was chicken and vegetable soup in a bread bowl with mashed potatoes on top). Despite the fact that it wasn't a true "pie," it was still delicious and I loved it -- and the menu did describe it as it was, so it wasn't a surprise when it came in a bread bowl.

Both times I've been, the other people I was there with were very pleased with their meals; the portions were big; and the prices were reasonable. It's also not overly loud because there are several dining areas with about 5 tables per room that are separated from the bar area.

Areas for improvement: Both times I was there, we got tentative new waiters who appeared to be teenagers. I'm all for giving the youngins jobs, but you could theoretically go here for a nice dinner and I think it would behoove Bill's to hire more experienced staff. They seem a little unsure of whether they want to be a nice restaurant or a casual bar. Maybe they'd be better off having separate areas and wait staff for both. Also, my friend had to send her undercooked pork back and got the wrong potato with her meal. It was fixed and she enjoyed it after that, but it's never a good feeling to have to send your food back, then wait for it while everyone else is eating.

Esther and I had eaten here in the past and were underwhelmed by it but the ownership had changed and we had a coupon so we thought we would give it another try.

It has not improved. The service was very good but the food was mediocre at best.

Esther had a roasted chicken dish that included corn on the cob and mashed potatoes. You know that something is wrong when the restaurant corn on the cob is the best part of the dish. Her salad was extremely small and uninteresting at best.

I opted for a modified Ceaser Sald- just romaine lettuce with Russian dressing on the side. Unfortunately while my salad was much larger than Esthers's (and I was charged for the dinner salad not the Ceasr Salad on the menu) the majority of the romaine lettuce was so wilted I could not eat it.

I also had a Crab Cake sandwich on a roll with french fries. It turned out I didn't need a roll to get bread with the Crab Cake. It was bread held together with a bit of crab meat.. The fries were not bad- but very heavily oversalted.

Esther's meal included dessert and she opted for the Peach Crisp Ala Mode - which unfortunately wasn't very crisp and seemed to be a bit light in the peach department.

The meal wasn't bad enough to send it back but it also wasn't good enough to bring us back again- even with a coupon.
