Located directly across the street from the Peoria Civic Center, this small bar would be a great place to stop for drinks and a snack before a show or game. Â I went here for dinner recently.
I got the Chicken Philly sandwich as my meal. Â The chicken is fajita style, not Philly cheese steak style, but it was still very good. Â The fries were nice and crispy. Â We also tried the fried pickles, which were tasty.
I was excited to see that they have Sailor Jerry's, which is my favorite rum and is sometimes hard to find.
So I have mixed feelings about this place, Thebar itself is very cool. It sinks down below steet level and there is a big comfortable couch and cool seating arrangement. They also have a decent liqour and beer selection. The bad, I asked the bartender for a bourbon neat, her response was don't use technical terms on me lol, so I said just pour it in a rocks glass no ice which led to a positive bc she filled the whole thing lol two drinks for the price of one!!!! She seemed nice however. The truly disturbing was the customers all 45 year old plus men who literally all stopped talking and turned around and stared at my girlfriend which was quite entertaining and creepy to both of us. These same viagra using morons proceeded to be our entertainment as they all constantly hit on the bartender who was obviously playing along to get a big tip one goof even invited her to a golf outing in alogonquin lol  what a bunch of losers I give anyone who knows me permission to shoot me if I act that way at that age. Will give another try maybe the crowd is different other times.
Review Source:Mom and sister had a meal here and waited 45+ minutes for a burger and fries. Server disappeared numerous times and had to walk to the kitchen to ask about the meals. Burgers came out with fries split 3 ways. Asked for a price adjustment and it wasn't granted. Waitress starts getting upset and starts pulling out her tip money to repay. No thanks for the guilt!
