First time here. Â I like the venue, it has ample seating with 9 tables or so and is easy to work at with power outlets on the sides. Â Hey, that's exactly what I was looking for, so my criteria was met! Â
Food and drink, meh. Â Had a black iced tea, honestly wasn't the best... would say that Dunkin' actually tastes fresher, and the drink price was relatively high.
Hey, this is Groton, but it is more like Pepperell to me. Â Not a lot of foot traffic and this it is surprising, given that the venue is in a mini plaza. Â Be happy there's a coffee place here at all, that's what I say. Â Staff seems nice enough.
I absolutely love Blackbird Cafe. In the 3 months I lived in Pepperell, I probably went here at least 3 times a week. And every time I'm back in town I make a point to go here and get my usual sandwich- grilled chicken, mozzarella and pesto on tuscan bread-pressed- it's soooo good. I crave it where I live now (in California) where they look at you funny if you try to create your own sandwich (and not include avocado).
The service is also super friendly and the owner-Luke and his wife always have kind words and remember you. The coffee and breakfast sandwiches are also VERY delicious-especially bacon, egg, cheese on croissant omg. Don't think about the calories- just enjoy it! Of course there's a bunch of other bread options if you so choose which is one of the reasons why this place is so great-the numerous options available. Seating and environment is lovely...if I had a cafe this is exactly what I would want it to be like. I can't think of any ways to improve it....I'm still crushing on it after traveling cross country and visiting numerous other cafes and such...Hence the 5 stars :) Wish I could take Blackbird with me.
