I recently ate at this restaurant Blackstone and was so impressed by the food presentation and quality of the food that I recommend it to everyone .i am a chef at a five star restaurant and its good to know I can go local to find great food and great service that use local produce and have such good prices. I had talked to the new owner and found he has brought life back to this amazing restaurant. They have great drink specials half price appetizers and 15 flat screen tvs that's we're I'm going to watch my football season.

I'm going to update my review because I had a fantastic time at the bar there recently. I didn't eat anything so I can't change my comments on food. The bartender however was very sweet and attentive.

I would return for drinks.

I'm torn. Do I review this restaurant as a spoiled NYC-dwelling asshole, or do I attempt to approach this review taking context into consideration- because lets be honest, a pub situated next to a tractor dealership in Hamburg, NJ is probably pretty awesome...if you live down the street from the tractor store in Hamburg, NJ. You can go there in your lifted Dodge Ram with the Flowmaster dual exhaust and get a hot meal and a beer with your buddies and it is the culinary highlight of your week. In fact, judging by the sum of what Hamburg has to offer, a visit to Blackstone's just could be the gastronomic and social event of the year.

For a spoiled NYC asshole, it was the most average of times, it was the worst of times. The beer was cold and the food was...well, food, which is what humans such as myself require to sustain life.

Beyond that- in my wife's words, "I can't even talk about it" summed up her chicken pot pie experience (and not in a rapturous "that was so heavenly I can't muster the words" type of situation). My burger was average at best. Â I've eaten worse, but bear in mind I've been hospitalized for food poisoning in the past.

Let's say this: if you ever need a tractor and find yourself in Hamburg, New Jersey- kill two birds with one stone. Blackstone's- feel free to use this slogan if you like.
