Blue Heron Inn the

Forget the old reviews on Yelp.  We stayed here on September 8, 2012.  A really nice place at reasonable prices.  Friendly and helpful staff.  Very clean and well decorated.  Our room had a spa and fridge -- very roomy and very clean.  Given that there was a Notre Dame football game that weekend, the price ($125 was competitive with Holiday Inn Express --  only much nicer and less corporate feeling.  On the lake.  I would stay again if I was in the area.

We stayed here this past weekend and the water is a problem. The shower was only warm for about three minutes, and I was trying to take a really fast shower. But, oh well. We stayed in the "Boathouse" and the room itself was pretty cool, there's a nice deck and it's big enough. There's a sleeper sofa, which is incredibly uncomfortable. It seems like a party place, we came back to the room at 10:30 from dinner and drinks, as I had a migrane, and everyone was still out of their room talking and having fun. I fell asleep right after that and my husband went back out to the bar to talk with my parents and at 1:00 am he was back and people were still out talking out on their decks. Fine with me, but he's a light sleeper. The front desk girl was sweet, but we did have one problem while she was on her break, we called as we didn't see sheets for the sleeper sofa, and the man told us someone would be there in 15 minutes, he never told anyone, no one called back or showed up, when my husband went up there, the girl was there and said the sheets were in the dresser, which was fine, but I'd have liked to have known that...oh an hour before when we called to ask. I have no idea who answered this phone, or why they just gave us bad info. told us someone would be up, and then never told anyone, but that's not such good service. but it was fixed quickly  and easily once we did call and ask.
