I liked this place better when it was the Q Bar. It's like they don't know what they want to be... A bar or a club? Pick one! I had 3 different bartenders try to rip me off too... I had 3 Blue Moon's and when they told me how much the drink was, they shorted me a dollar each time they gave me change back. I know its just a buck but wtf? I should have asked for the money they shorted me each time but whatever, too much of a hassle.. Wont be visiting again. You have all been warned!
Review Source:Went there to watch a football game (with several friends who were drinking) Ordered a glass of water and was told " we aren't serving ice water today, but you can buy a bottle for $2. Wow! Will NEVER go back. Then my friend had a chipped beer stein, and shards of glass were ending up in her beer. When approaching the bar staff, they tried to simply pour the beer into a new glass. My friend explained there was glass IN the beer...they were "nice enough" to pour us a new domestic beer, when she was drinking a craft beer. Enough said.
Review Source:I gave this place one star specifically because they charge you for water. Â Pretty lame. Water should always be free in a venue that sells alcohol.
Their temperature control during shows is scary. It is usually 90+ degrees. Unhealthy and unsafe. Â I have seen people pass out from heat at shows. Â
they do have some good music on occassion
Good venue for music.
Remodeled from the old "Q Bar" then "The Industry" now "The Blue Moose Tap House"
Downstairs is decent space and keg bar stools and large array of beers on tap.
Decent prices.
The main large stage is downstairs as well in the back. Plenty of room for big shows.
Upstairs is "The Blue Room", another smaller bar, plenty of seating and a smaller stage with decent lighting and sound.
Sometimes on you'll run into the "Blue Moose" guy in a hot-arse costume wondering around downtown IC promoting the live music that evening. On hot days, I hope the Moose gets to go back to the watering hole to replenish.
