Had the grilled chicken sandwich, is was....ok. Not plump n juicy. The steamed shrimp was good but shrimp could've been a lil bigger IMHO. Waiter didn't introduce himself but was good either way. Nice sitting in patio on intercostal waterway.

Stopped at the Boathouse last night while golfing in Myrtle Beach.  It is a large place with indoor, porch and lawn seating along the intracoastal waterway.

It was pretty quiet at 6:30 on a Thursday evening.

The draft beer selection was very weak.  Four taps from national breweries.  This is unacceptable given the craft brew scene in North and South Carolina.

No one appeared to be eating so, I was a bit concerned but took a chance.  I'm happy I did.  The food was excellent.

I tried the Honey Habenero wings.  They were great.  The honey did a nice job off setting the spice of the habenero.  They weren't mouth burning hot but kind of lingered.  The wings were nice sized and grilled crispy.  They are some of the best I've had in a while.

I also had the avocado and chicken egg rolls with Thai dipping sauce.  Deli sliced chicken and avocados in egg roll wrappers.  Very nice.

Apps were half price during happy hour.  Wings, egg rolls and three Fat Tires set me back $17.  That's pretty hard to beat for way more food than I could eat.

I'm really bouncing back and forth between 3 and 4 stars.  I guess I'll stick with three.  In spite of great wings, the beer selection really drags it down.

We went to The Boathouse last night to see Coolio and was very disappointed in the way they changed their set  up outside. The stage is now right on the water which sounds like a nice concept, except because of the steep incline of the hill leading to the stage. Not only was it very uncomfortable to stand on a steep incline to watch the show but when you factor in people dancing and drinking it was also an accident waiting to happen. Saw a few people tumble, was really expecting the domino effect...and combined with the fact that lots of beer bottles were on the ground it could have really gotten ugly. It was much, much better when they had their stage off to the side and everyone was on level ground, then you were able to enjoy the show without trying to balance yourself or worry about others crashing down on you.
