Well, it was a good day for a ride on the bike and we decided to try Longbeard's once again. Â I always get the same thing (chicken) and decided that I can't do that this time. Â I have to try something different, so I opted for the $5 lunch of a French Dip sandwich with fries. Â I chose unsweetened ice tea as my beverage. Â Again I was not disappointed. Â The sandwich was huge. The sub-roll (?) it was on was soft and fresh. Â The beef was piled high and had melted cheese on it and the au jus was tasty. Â I put malt vinegar on my fries, which is a new thing for me. Â I love it now. Â I would recommend this place for lunch (Mon-Fri) for their $5 lunch. Â Today I got to meet Ron the owner. Â I still want to sit outside on one of those big rocking chairs, but I guess I'll wait until it's a little cooler out. Â It's really worth the trip to go here.
Review Source:Five stars for theme, decor, and server uniforms.
Four stars for the amazing smell of BBQ in the air and the menu variety.
Three stars for the food quality. The chicken wings were underdone, the steak salad lacked flavor and veggies, and the steak was cold. The pork BBQ was very good.
I would go back to try other items on the menu.
