Chuck's... The reviews so far don't paint a great picture, but I didn't expect this... Don't bother!
Server is a little laid back, but it's the beach. Casual attitude of hostess and server were just the start.
3 out of 4 steaks had to be sent back because they were *very* rare when we ordered medium, medium, and medium well. The 4th steak was cooked okay, but it was smaller than the advertised 10 oz sirloin special.
The kitchen area is dimly lit - cooks probably can't see what they're doing. Service area/expo window is unlit so there is no way for the servers to check before bringing the food to the table.
Instead if having traditional sections, tables seem to be assigned to servers randomly. Â I keep seeing the server going to tables on other levels (this place is like a split-level home with 3 floors of dining), which would explain why it takes a while to get things done.
Mucho Margarita (28 oz) tastes like cheap tequila and sour mix - good thing it was only $10.
The kitchen recooked our steaks and they returned to our table charred on the outside, overcooked on the inside and completely inedible. Â The manager ended up stopping by our table and comping the three steaks that we didn't eat. Â This, to me, means that they gave up and sent us on our way - uninterested in making our experience a satisfactory one.
This entire miserable experience ended up wasting over an hour of our lives. Server was depressed and downtrodden and I'm still hungry... This place calls itself a steak house? Â What a waste of good cow.
PS - notice how all of the pictures have been posted by the restaurant instead of by visitors.
