Bobby G's Sports Bar & Grill

Yes, it's a dive bar. Yes, it has a lot of regulars. BUT what makes Bobby G's special is that everyone feels like a regular when you walk in. I go a few times a month and it's my relaxation spot. I can go there alone and feel completely at ease. Jukebox has an assortment of songs and no one seems to have a bad attitude. The busiest time is from 12 am  to close (restaurant crew getting off of work) so you may wait an extra 5 mins for your drink but it's worth it. Drinks are stiff and cheap.

Only negative: Just like the previous posters have stated, be careful coming in the door due to the dart boards. I do wish they would switch the pool table to front and the darts to the back.

I haven't been here in ages, so I'm unsure if much has changed since my last visit. (If Melinda M.'s review from last year is any indication, not much has.) The bar gets a lot of regulars in here - mostly waitstaff from nearby restaurants as well as those who just pop in for a drink a few times/week, if not nightly. Can get kind of crowded, especially from around midnight-2 a.m.

The previous two reviewers aren't joking about your life being in danger the minute you step inside, though not because of unruly customers or a bad crowd or anything. Be sure to keep your eyes open as you walk in, because the area where those dart boards are is treacherous territory. Be careful!

I remember the prices being really fair and the drinks being very good. The food is mostly just "dive" bar food (i.e. cheese sticks, French Fries, maybe burgers, etc.).

As Michael C. pointed out, there is at least one bartender here who may be somewhat of a jerk. When I used to show up here as a regular (off/on in the late 90s/early- to mid-00s), there was one bartender I didn't care much for. Unsure if he's still here, though you may be able to tell after a while, just as Michael C. noted.

I wasn't real impressed, but the regulars LOVE the place! This is yet another Altamonte DIVE bar and it gets pretty crowded right up until closing time.

Bad ... when you walk in you're taking your life into your own hands ,,, seriously stupid set up, but the dart boards are set up at the entrance and there always seems to be a game going on. Yikes! Be careful of drunken throws. lol

The drinks ... beer and a full bar. The prices are OK, the music is loud, but good and like most dives, the patrons are a mix of ages and genres. Personally I prefer Fridays just across the street. I'll try anything (almost anything) once though!
