Okay, now that we've been here in the evening also, I had to update.

The evening was quite different than the daytime. We came here about 7pm on Weds evening. There were just a handful of people at the bar and we ordered drinks and a few appetizers.

They had trivia, which was an interesting part of the story as well.

I think the overall vibe I got was that this place is made for certain regulars and not welcoming to new folks. We are bar people and love to chat, and all of the regulars that were there were very kept to themselves. As time went on and it got busier, it was clear that people wanted us to give up our prime bar seats. We played trivia, but even that was clearly made for regulars, since they all knew the answers. (The trivia guy told us that he repeated the questions).

Anyway, it wasn't a horrible experience or anything, but I don't think we'd rush back here in the evenings.

    I'm liking this place.......even though I don't drink!
Small bar, super clean, friendly staff, great location right off the 15 freeway in Temecula on Ynez and Rancho California Rd.

The food isn't bad either........it's different than what you'll find at most bars. No greasy burgers and fries here but you'll find delicious chicken skewers, pot stickers with a tasty chili sauce for dipping and caprese salad just to name a few.

The had a band on Saturday night, can't beat live music and overall this is a great, upscale, classy neighborhood bar in Temecula. Nice layout, great lighting, a pool table in the corner and really just a nice overall experience here for the 3 times we've been and yes, we do plan on going back!

We went for Tapas and cocktails, expecting a Tapas experience.  Didn't get it.  It's a bar.  Even had the standard drunk woman (at 6:30) at the end of the bar clogging the jukebox and blaring horrible country music.  The Tapas and Sangria were bland, and not helped by a loud rendition of "I Love NASCAR."  A Tapas experience?  Nope, not here.

That said, the staff and the bartender were very pleasant and I would give them high marks for service.  This place could easily be made into a great place.

I've only ever had drinks here, and only at a private event.

Gentleman jack and coke runs about $9 a pop. Not a bad price at all, but it's an even better deal when you realize how heavy their pours are. I mean, I can't even get a drink this stiff anywhere in Hillcrest. We are talking a 12 count and a splash of coke for fun. +2 stars for your pours alone.

Bathrooms are for one at a time, which means if they are busy, you shouldn't wait around very long because there may be a line.

I asked the bartender for a recommendation on good sipping Tequila and the response was "I don't know what you like to sip". Then the bartender proceeds to serve me 'well' Tequila instead of the good stuff.

You lose both ways (lost revenue on that sale - you couldve up-sold me, and a lost customer), and should lose your job as well.

Fun place.  Went for lunch.  Food is really good and priced ok.  Large drink selection for those gluten free people.  Bartender/server is hot and friendly.  Would like to check out in the evening.

SWEET BABY JESUS, If I try to order Stone IPA on tap one more time, and they are out aggggggaaaaaaaiiiiiiinnnnnnnnnn, I'm gonna start flipping tables.  Because I like to go at odd times (?  reason given by bartender), they are always out.  It is $7 for a 22 oz Stone and I want it so bad.  I had it once and then have been turned away 4 times since.  my heart..... it breaks....

    food wise:
-nachos with a ton of black olives and the meat on the side is tasty (especially after an afternoon of gin and tonics)
-excellent spinach salad with a lite and tart dressing
-gf digs the chicken sliders on hawaiian bread
-bruschetta is good, but not nearly enough to share (starts fights among friends)
-everything else is on a scale of meh-to- if you want to pay, I'll eat it

    drink wise:
-I think it is about $5 a well drink during happy hour, always good pours and sweet bartenders.  We heart you Jenn!
-fancy pants cocktails with fancy pants prices and delicious, of course- but we aren't the Rockefellers

    Vibe wise:
-irrelevant, we only go out when we can avoid lots of people (Sunday evenings, Tuesday afternoons)
-they now have a pool table- NICE!

so If they always had Stone IPA on tap as ADVERTISED by the tap that taunts me
I'd give it a solid 4, its our main hang out
BUT because of aforementioned heart break..... its a 2+

I boost it to a 3 because of Jenn

Visited this place on a Thursday night and had drinks and the empanadas. The sangria was quite tasty, however the rest of the experience left a lot to be desired.

The atmosphere is a bit strange. There is a pool table, a small stage, and Spanish decor on the walls. The music was Top 40 and quite loud for the number of people in the establishment.

We ordered the empanas and were very disappointed. The price was quite reasonable, however they were most certainly frozen and heated, and were not very tasty.

Most disappointingly, the service was atrocious. It was difficult to tell who was actually working there and who was a visiting patron. The bar tender seemed to be the only front service employee at the establishment. There was no waitress to order tapas from or anyone to clear the tables. Another girl walked in and out of the back area and chatted with some of the customers. We couldn't tell if she worked at Bratt's and was ignoring the customers, or if she was just a visitor who was given permission to go back into the kitchen area. We placed our tapas order with the bartender, and it took quite a while to receive our order. We were left wondering if the bartender had put our order into the kitchen or remembered if we placed our order.

I wanted to like this place, I really did. Sub par food, really sub par bartender (I asked her what bourbons she had, I got a blank stare, she spent most of her time playing with her phone), really obnoxious drunks that needed to be 86'd. With a little leadership, this place could be a really great destination. If it continues this way, it will be just another crap bar in a strip mall. Too bad, lost opportunity.

This is a restaurant/bar unlike any in town.  Its lively, but intimate. Its decorated very classy but doesn't have a stuffy feel. The owner did a great job ensuring it was a lively vibe.  The Sangria made fresh is really really good. Beers cold and priced very low. I love the selection of drinks they offer, and the Tapas are really great.  Large portions, great prices.  Always a great stop after a Harley Ride for my Pop and I.  They have live music I believe every night.  I look forward to this place being around for a long time.  Its great because the kitchen is open until 2am....2:00AM!!!!  After a night out its a fun last stop.  Thats awesome!  I went in for lunch yesterday and the owner told me shes going to be offering a loyal customer rewards program with insane benefits for loyal customers.  That sounds awesome.  Can't wait to go back.  I love that they are already thinking out of the box.  I definitely would recommend and have recommended Bratts & Tapas to many friends.  Foods great, prices are awesome and the environment is really fun.   Oh Ya And I like that they offer FREE WiFi.

They were out of my first 3 drink choices and their wine selection is disappointingly small.  Empanadas were tasty. The bruschetta had soo much garlic is burned my mouth. I had high hopes for this place :/

My husband and I stumbled into this place around 9:30pm on a Thursday night because Rosati's was closed.  We saw they were open and their kitchen was still serving food.  Coming from Chicago where Tapas is super popular, I really wanted to love this place.  Here's what we ordered (suggested by the owner):
--- Chicken Sliders - good, but the chicken slice was too thin for the thickness of the bread
--- Pork Sopes (tasty, but it was served lukewarm)
--- Dumplings x2 (these needed to be crispy and served with a soy dipping sauce)
--- Bruschetta - my favorite, melted mozzarella with a chunky tomato and basil topping

Here's the problem with this place --- it doesn't serve "traditional" tapas!  The owner indicated that her original menu idea failed - well I don't think the answer is to serve mediocre food that people are familiar with.  Go outside the box and WOW people with Spanish Tapas!!  Overall, the food was just okay - we were a bit buzzed from a night of wine drinking down the road so it satisfied our appetite.  The decor is great!  Very cool vibe, felt like this could fit in very well in a swankier neighborhood.  The owner seemed very passionate about her restaurant, however the food really needs to improve.  Prices were very reasonable for what we ordered - about $5 per appetizer.

If the owner is reading this --- check out the menus at Cafe Ba Ba Reba (Chicago) and Meson Sabika (Naperville).  Those restaurants serve authentic Tapas and the food is AMAZING.  We will not write this place off, but we'll check back in a few months to see if the menu has changed.

    Good luck!

I was excited when I saw that this place opened up, so my husband and I got a sitter for the night and came here for some tapas and drinks. We went there at 9pm and the place was dead. Just a few people sitting at the bar. We grabbed a seat on the lounge and our waitress came up to us. She was really nice, but the place needed improvement as far as food selection goes.

I ordered a drink called Lips or Blush or some sort of makeup name. My husband had a wine since chardonnay was out. We ordered the meatballs, the chicken skewers, some cheese flatbread and  hummus with bread. The food wasn't memorable. We asked if there was a dessert menu and the waitress replied "I wish". We asked for a spoon but they didn't have any, we only had forks to use. The flatware was plastic.

No thanks, not stepping back in here. My husband and I went to another restaurant to make the most out of our date night.

So...As a local bar owner I felt this needed to be shared. I walked in with my wife and daughter, the bartender saw us, and then turned away without any greeting at all. We  then proceeded to seat ourselves outside on the patio, there was a young man and a young woman sitting outside smoking. We sat outside for about 5 minutes and no one had approached us, I walked inside and had to ask for menus, as Im walking out, the young man smoker is now my server (lovely) he says and I quote "you guys want some water or somethin"... Whomever the owner of this disaster is... Im embarrassed for you. We quickly walked out.. Appalling!!!

Come check this place out.  We were driving by and saw the sign decided to have a look see.

Food is excellent; we had sopas, crepes, bruschetta and sliders.  Don't miss the Sangria.

It was a little slow while we were there but as we were leaving more people were arriving.  Live music or DJ every night til 2am.

My husband and I came in the other afternoon and it was a true four star experience. Let me start with the drinks...

-Pomegranate Martini ($8) - not sure if they used flavored vodka or if it was just really weak on the vodka, but I couldn't taste any.
-Sangria ($4.50) - Pretty tasty but my husband makes it better. However, at only $4.50 I couldn't complain.
-Orange Mango Margarita (8) - my husband ordered it for himself since it was something different, but decided to get a beer for his next drink so I guess it wasn't that good.
-22 oz Stone IPA for $7, I thought that was a steal!

    On to the tapas...
First, let me just say it is clear that these are all bought frozen and either fried/boiled and brought to temp. There's nothing wrong with this, especially since the prices reflect that, I was just disappointed that the new tapas bar in town wouldn't have anything amazingly special on the menu. As for the menu...
-Beef Empanadas - You get 5, I thought they were OK. Comes with sour cream and salsa.
-Ham & Brie crepes - these were just OK, I probably wouldn't get them again.
-Meatballs - portion size is massive, which I loved! They come in marinara sauce with some little breadsticks, unfortunately the whole thing was served to us lukewarm.
-Pork Dumplings - served with mae ploy sauce, very good.
-Shrimp - served in a butter sauce with lemons, delicious!

Overall I thought the food was good, but not amazing, and the portion sizes were very generous. Also, they are open until 2AM every night (and that includes the kitchen!) We will most likely be back.

We have been there twice (will be back much more).  First time was mid week in the late afternoon.  Had Tapas and drinks......be warned, the Tapas are huge!  We ordered four between two of us and was a meal!  Service was great, met the owner and became "hugging friends" on the spots.  This is a great intimate tapas bar in Temecula that is a far cry from the large corporate establishments.

Went again today, Sunday just as the band was setting up.  From two to six they have a great Blues Band that really covers the genre.  Loved the band....great crowed there.  Jennefer was a great server and this time only ordered one tapa....the cheese plate.  More than enough for two.....with great presentation.

Temecula has been sorely needing a small intimate place for adults to enjoy Jazz and Blues......Bratt's has filled the notch!

Finally a tapas bar in Temecula! If your looking for a full meal serving-this is not the place for you. Now if you want a place to hang out with your friends to have drinks in a semi-club kind of an environment then come on out. Food are appetizer size, hence the name tapas, and are not to rave about. We tried their bruschetta, baguettes were soft instead of crunchy (the way it's supposed to be,) tomatoes were too mushed. Chicken skewers were a little plain & sirloin sliders are about the same, typical bar food in short.

I didn't realize they finally opened -- it's about time!!!

Went with a friend Tuesday night after barhopping elsewhere -- I told him I was hungry and figured we'd be stuck with the usual Carl's Jr. down the street. He said let's try the new tapas bar. Okay!

Friend had just been to Bratt's last weekend and really enjoyed it; I was skeptical being a Tuesday, but they were still open past 10pm! There were only a couple other people inside or on the patio, and a DJ had set up her MacBook on the corner stage with a good playlist. Friend said his previous weekend visit was much busier, which makes sense since, again, it was late on a Tuesday.

There wasn't any dancing that night (again, only a few people here on a Tuesday), but the DJ's mix was kinda gay and dancey, which I LOVED since so many other places just play generic boring stuff. I could totally see this being a good drinks-and-dancing spot, even if the dance floor corner is a bit cozy.

Anyway, onto the actual bar... I ordered the Chicken Sliders (you get two, very good) and Mac & Cheese (in a small dish, but also good and very cheesy) to go along with our beer. Several beers on tap; high marks for serving each of our beers in a matching logo glass! I'm a sucker for glassware, so

I WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK and be bringing more friends with me. The decor is nice and, as other reviewers mentioned, very conducive to being a good hangout bar. Most of the appetizers are in the $5-$6 range which is fine. Full bar was nice to see, too, since so many places in Old Town or elsewhere are just beer and wine.

Not sure what the earlier reviews were complaning about the lack of drink menus... they were placed on every table right alongside the tapas menus.

Very tasty tapas, super friendly staff, elegant lounge environment.  Many intimate nooks and a great cross section of drink options.  My favorite spot in the area.  Nights often offer a variety of music, karaoke, or dancing.  I highly recommend.

OMG!!! It is about time we had a great "hang out" bar here in Temecula! ( yes, I have lived here 20 years).... This place is smooth.... You want "quantity"? Hit the Buffet at Pechanga and stuff your pie hole with crappy food- but high in fat.. You want "quality"? Come here!  Man, long overdue!

The place is a super location with view out and about with all the windows.  It's nice inside, casual.  The previous reviews are mixed between 2 to 5.  I found some of the statements true....was not very impressed with the appetizers, minimal menu, pricing seemed fine, the salad was was a plus, chips/salsa...ehhh....acoustics for live music, wait and see, not sure I would have placed the stage at that end, but hey, I'm not a designer, and no, they do not have a drink pricing menu (it doesn't take much to type one up, print it and make copies with plastic sheets?)....the servers were very cute and nice....but they didn't seem to interested in the place....and the tables in the middle by the stage were a detriment...the bar along that wall should have curved out instead of the tables...would have been nice touch, but designers work on paper not in the real place.....I would go again just to see the improvements (hopefully) after it gets a little established.......

If you prefer appetizers over a large meal, this is a great place! I love appetizers & was happy to see that there were plenty of small bites to choose from. Our party tried both the chicken & sirloin sliders, beef empanadas, Mac 'n cheese & the Caprese Salad...all very good! I am use to having Cuban type empanadas so theirs was a little different since they were more bready than meaty but still not bad. Prices are very good...try the Sangria, I had both the red & white, the white is a tad sweeter but both get a thumbs up. Atmosphere is nice similar to a lounge which I much prefer over Sports Bars/Grilles. Give 'em a try & enjoy!

What a great place to hang out.  Very nicely decorated, roomy, comfortable seating.  Also have a pretty good sized outdoor patio.  I had the empanadas and stuffed tomatoes.  Really good.  Good beer slection, and a well stocked bar.  All the servers were great, too.

Went on a Sunday, saw an awesome blues band! The sangria was amazing (red and white, tried both - Red was more fruity, white was sweeter) and all the appetizers are cheap yet super yummy. Nice small portions too, so you can get a few different things without getting too full or spending too much. Really nice service, convenient location... just great all around. Thumbs up!

My husband and I had seen the signs for this place and had been waiting for it to open.  We decided to go around lunch time today (Sunday) to eat and have a cocktail.

It was nicely decorated inside.  Definitely a place to go and hang out.  There was a small stage and a jazz band was just setting up to play.  There is a full bar with bar stools, small tables set around and large cushioned seats with pillows set around the perimeter.

I was not very impressed with the tapas menu; there wasn't much that was vegetarian.  We did order the bruschetta and mac and cheese.  Both were very good.  I liked that the bruschetta had melted cheese with the veggies.

I was the least impressed by the service.  I asked for a drink menu.  They didn't have one and didn't offer any information.  When specifically asked about drinks, still, no information.  I thought that the server was fairly rude.  She did apologize... as she handed us the bill for a signature.  (yeah, don't forget to tip, right?)

    Not sure we'll be back.

My boyfriend and I have been waiting for this place to open for awhile and were excited when we saw it finally did! the interior was nice, the server courtney was very pleasant and friendly. However, we ordered one of the tappas and it was not what the menu described ( they were missing a couple key garnish items) when she asked of it was ok, we told her it was dry and I asked if it was supposed to include the items on the menu. She immediately asked if they forgot to put it on.and I said it seemed like it. She apologized however did not offer to replace it ( we ate most of it already since she did not come back to check on us for 10 minutes and we were hungry). Or remove it from the bill.

Coming from the restaurant industry myself, if I knew it was our fault I would have had it immeditely taken care of or replaced. Especially since she admitted it was. Their fault. To their defense they just literally opened so I'd like to come back when they have improves some things.
