Best to keep on driving and find some place else. If you feel like risking it don't order the fish and chips. If you order it, be prepared to wait 20 minutes while the slimy, thin filets cool from a temperature more appropriate for nuclear reaction, and dripping heavily with grease just as toxic. Want your tab? Best get it when the food is delivered or wait...and wait...and wait... for the bar tender's attention. In a virtually empty room.  Seriously. 4 other people.

I was hoping for a new after work spot, but for a new place, I did not find it very accommodating.  At 11:43pm I asked the server for a menu. She said the kitchen was closed. She offered chips and salsa, but I was looking for a little more. At just after midnight I noticed a customer was being served a plate of wings.  I asked the server what time the kitchen closed. She said usually midnight, but it depended on if anyone was ordering food. Apparently I wasn't the right anyone! When I asked her aboit why the gentleman was being served when I was unable to order, she said he had placed his order over an hour ago. With only 12 patrons in the bar, an hour seemd a bit long to wait for an order.  The only good part of this experience was the kareoke hostess. Now I'm hearing she will only be here between 7pm and 11pm next week. Good luck with that.

Well I am a local to the bar.  I can see they have not gotten the greatest of reviews.  The tavern is greatly improved over the past owners.  I give it a solid 3 stars not because of anything negative but because it is a BAR and not a night club or disco.  It is a neighborhood bar that serves food and not a 5 star dining experience.  This is what I have found in my 10 or so visits since its opening under new name and management.  Better food ((fast or slow I don't know)) mine has always within 20 min and as I ordered it. Better liquor selection (( a bit more top shelf)) which I much appreciate.   Though I would say 80% of drinks that are ordered are beer I am a mixed drink guy and I have tested the bartenders and they can make a decent drink.  Better atmosphere, like night and day.  It actually looks clean and not drab which is a great improvement.  Better staff, I have found that all of the staff that I have interacted with have been very kind and friendly.  So remember its a BAR not a dinning experience. If it were a dining experience the food would cost twice as much. Something to snack on while you have a beer and its great for that.  I cant comment on the evening crowd or atmosphere because I haven't been during those hours.  As they are still in their infancy having just opened I see the positive direction they are going and if they didn't trip a little I would think it is strange.  I for one hope they do a good business and stay open.  One thing I will say is though the owner is there quite a bit of the time I don't see him mingle with the regulars much.  He seems friendly but I think he should spend a little quality time with those of us that are local and are the steady income.
