Torn between 4 and 5 stars. Only been here once...It was formerly the sports deck, then some monkeez bar for a while. Â The current owners opened in feb of this year.
We visited on a Saturday evening last weekend. Sat at the bar, which i would guess seats about 20 or a few more. There are a fair amount of high tables around the bar that work equally as well for those of us who hate sitting at low tables but also don't want to sit 'at the bar'.
Bartender was friendly, explained what he likes and the extensive menu. Â There are alot of things here to eat. We had a bucket of miller lite for ten bucks to drink.. Â They had about 7 or 8 taps, including great lakes Christmas ale. And, a ton of awesome bottled beers. Will try next time when I am counting beer calories.
We ordered the jambalaya to start. It comes as a 'cup' which generally means a short mug. Â Here it is a full tall coffee style mug - a lot more than I expected.
For dinner, we had a Cajun burger and a Chicago weck. Both were done real good and good portions. Fries were hand cut (or a really inconsistent machine) and really good.
Total bill was under $30. Amazing. A similar dinner at tanks or Dublin pub would have been $45.
We will for sure be back. If things go swimmingly as this visit, it's a five-star place.
