I can summarize this place in one word: Â inconsistent.
I go every Tuesday for Lunch. Â I can speak for the dining area only- Â They have some rock solid servers, and some not-so-great servers. Â You never know what you're going to get, or how painfully wrong your check will be when you receive it.
The food is generally standard BWW, but every once in a while, the boneless wings will come out ROCK hard. Â Should have sent them back on several occasions.
That being said, the prices are high even if the food was cooked well and service was good-- and they offer very few deals of any kind.
B-dubs is a usual hang out spot for my friends and I, and I have been quite a fan of them for some time now. Â First time I had BWW was back in 2006 when I was traveling for work. Â Decided to try them out seeing how I am a big chicken wing guy, and after trying their sauces I've been big into them ever since.
The wife and I are regulars to the Clifton Park location so some of the staff knows us and hangs with us for a bit when we go, and they are quite fun to be around. Â Service is never an issue whenever we go.
Most of the time we visit during an event, either UFC, hockey, WWE, or football, and is usually packed. Â TV's pretty much line the walls in this place, and I'm surprised there isn't one in the bathroom as well. Â The entertainment is good, especially when you have the mini Hulk Hogan at the bar doing his thing. Â Great stuff.
Now on to the food. Â My verdict? Â It's not too bad. Â Then again, why would you expect to have the finest cuisine at a sports bar/restaurant, especially a chain? Â Lower those expectations, and you'll be fine.
Anyway, when it comes to the food, if you're a first timer you will most likely try the wings first. Â Now I am a hot wing kind of guy. Â The hotter, the better. Â The thing is, if it's very hot, it needs to have some flavor to back it up. Â Luckily, their Blazin' sauce has that, so if you want tasty hotness you'll be in for a treat, although it could be a bit hotter. Â I highly recommend the Parmesan Garlic wings, which is the best that I have had. Â The sauce is a bit more creamy than your typical garlic parm wings. Â They have quite a selection of sauces, so you really can't go wrong. Â The chicken wings themselves have gotten smaller over the years, but are still decent. Â The boneless wings are good depending on the day. Â Sometimes they are juicy, other times they are dry.
The burgers are nothing to really write home about since they seem more like frozen patties, so don't bother asking for them to cook it medium rare because it wont happen. Â If you want a hearty burger from there, try the steak burger. Â Two beef patties with beef brisket in the middle, a fried onion ring on top and your choice of sauce (I usually go with the Blazin'). Â Their Tailgating Sampler is pretty good, with soft pretzels, wings, spinach & artichoke dip with pita chips and jalapeno poppers. Â Again, this is standard pub food, nothing amazing.
Also, if you are looking to have a few drinks with your friends, this place has it all. Â There is a whole lineup of beer to choose from, so you shouldn't have an issue picking something out to your liking.
If you're looking to watch a game with a few friends with good beer and you don't care too much about the food, the BWW is the place to go. Â If you want the sauce but don't care too much about the wings, pick up a bottle of your favorite sauce and make your own wings at home.
I do like this place, but I also don't like traditional buffalo sauce, so I may not be the best judge. Â I've been twice. Â The pretzel bite are interesting (not something I'd usually eat). Â The buffalo chips are a nice alternative to regular friench fries. Â Every thing I tried was pretty good (not fantastic, but not awful). Â I like the garlic Parmesan wings, and the honey BBQ. Â I also like that you can get the wings boneless or bone-in. Â The side salad id what I want when I order a side salad - lettuce, tomato, onion, croutons, not a lot of weird or super fancy stuff. Â The honey BBQ chicken salad is also good, for what it is (a chicken salad at a bar). Â My boyfriend and his friend do like wings - the spicier the better - and they also enjoy the wings here (but they tend to get fancy, super hot stuff, not regular buffalo wings).
The waitress brought me a salad with no fork, then vanished. Â That was unfortunate. Â
The primary reason to eat here, if you're not a sports fan, may be that it's right next to the movie theater. Â Since eating wings daily isn't good for you anyway, that reason is good enough for me.
Been to this place twice now since it opened, unlikely to be a third
First time was shortly after it opened. We ordered a couple different kinds of wings. Specifically asked for boneless, all three kinds came out bone-in (and one of the flavors was wrong). Called the waitress on it. She basically told us we were wrong, was very rude, but eventually took them back and brought out the right ones out. The habanero mango was pleasantly spicy(so rare to get something with actual heat at restaurants these days) and had a nice flavor. The thai was pretty meh, not very spicy and the spice was not reminiscent of Thai food. The "original" buffalo were also okay, but nothing special. The waitress was generally unfriendly and had to be "flagged down" for everything including drink refills.
Gave the place another try thinking since it had just opened needed some time to work the kinks out. We got the most annoying hot-to-trot trainee waitress on the planet. Her voice was twice as loud as needed, and was generally WAY too enthusiastic about everything. Ordered wings, wrong flavor again. Waitress had a million apologies, and correct ones came out quickly. Ordered food this time....I had a chicken bacon sandwich. The chicken was raw in the middle. Waitress probably would have committed hari-kari if asked. Brought it back. Million apologies. Manager came over, apologized, said she'd take it off the bill. Fresh one came out quickly and was cooked right. It was an OK sandwich. The "desert heat" seasoning was invisible. So much for "sizzlin heat".
They have a slightly better-than-average beer selection at very average bar prices.
Oh, and there's probably 50 tvs in the place, and they have PPV sports events on, so if there's something you want to watch it's a decent option.
So the good is the habanero mango wings and sports on TV. So as a bar it'd score pretty decent.
I love hanging out at the bar they have a ton of beer on tap. That being said, the wings kinda suck. I grew up on wings, and have been out to buffalo, Duff's is my favorite, these are a poor excuse for wings. Good service and nice people, just not good food.
If you want good wings, there are plenty of other places in the capital region to try.
For Boneless, try BEFF's on Everett road in Albany
I hadn't been to a Buffalo Wild Wings since I was in Hattiesburg back in 2006. It was OK back then, at least according to my memory of the place.
I hadn't been particularly interested in checking out the one in Clifton Park since it opened, but eventually I relented and went with a friend who (for whatever reason) really wanted to go to this place.
Josh A is on the ball once again with this place: Beer and TV, OK. Food, not a chance. The wings just suck. They're small, bland, and dry. I tried several different styles and they were all the same: flavorless.
The service, beer, and atmosphere are pretty decent, but ultimately this place falls flat when it comes to food. Seeing as they fail at wings, which is part of the name of their restaurant, you'd be better off moving on and going somewhere else instead.
Food is beyond awful. The place has "wings" in it's name and they don't even get those right. There's probably a dozen places in the area with better wings. It's an OK place if you just want to watch a game or two and have a beer but I can't recommend eating here. For any reason. Go for karaoke if it's been a while since you've had a terrible headache and been aggravated. Or if your companion is someone you absolutely don't want to listen to because there is no chance he/she will be heard speaking over the warbling singers.
There are much better places to watch a game where you also get the benefit of decent food. This is a strong recommendation that you avoid this place.
Service was very slow. Â Had to track down waitress for napkins and straws. Â We got the bone-in wings with several different sauces. Â The wings were not just fried, they came out at fridge temp with warm sauces on them. Â Didn't seem to be a big suprize to the waitress, who was less than helpful and didn't seem to care.
Bottom line, I'd save your money and go to a different place for wings. Â Maybe one of the many pizza joints in the same area.
I thought I walked into Best Buy.
What is this places electric bill with all these t.v.'s going? LOL
Tuesday seems to be the day to go when wings are 45 cents. I am not a big fan of sauced wings cause I like the skin to be nice and crispy but the parmesan garlic sauce was good. Mini corn dog appetizer was tasty but too pricy just stick to cheap wings! Service was lacking took forever for drinks and food. Wish they had a few other dry seasoning flavors nothing tickled my fancy. I guess I am just spoiled by Pluckers in Texas with the dry ranch seasoning. I miss it!
I've been a handful of times and every time I leave I think to myself- I should know better by now.
It's a decent place to catch the game (or multiple games) but if you're there on karaoke night you probably won't enjoy it (unless you're singing karaoke or drunk.. or both). Â Food is decent but over-priced for what you get, which is bar food. Â I love bar food but I don't expect to pay real-food prices for it.
And that's all the effort I think this deserves.
Ok. The wings are good...sweet honey bbq, salt/vinegar and mild. They're not the best, but they were good enough to return. The restaurant itself is nice, clean, loud and an overall enjoyable atmosphere.
The service.  UGH. Need I say more. This is our third time going and the service has been not so great. Our  first trip was a week after they opened. The service and wings were bad, but we gave them the benefit of the doubt since everything and everyone was new...right?! The second time, good boneless wings and good service...YAY...we'll be back! Third time (tonight) good food...terrible service. Brought a regular cup to our 7yr old even after we asked for a kids cup. Had to track her down for the cup and straws! Ordered an appetizer and it came out with the food (what's the purpose of the appetizer at this point). Brought out the wrong flavor AND amount of wings. Forgot the ranch & celery sticks all together, they were on the receipt but never brought them out. And never bothered to refill our drinks...we had to ask another waitress.
Ugh. Seriously disappointed with the service. Although the food is good enough to return, the service needs to get on point!
The restaurant looks great. Lots of monitors and projections. even the outside sitting area has like 5 monitors, all playing different channels. This seems like a really nice place to hang out with friends at night to watch a night game and have a few beers.
Unfortunately, my roommate and I came on a Saturday afternoon. It was pretty empty at first and then it started packing. We wanted to try the wings but the ribs also caught out eyes. Although it is a wings place, we got the ribs and wings combo anyways. 4 baby back ribs, 6 wings, fries, and a side of cold slaw: $12.99. The fries were very thin and crispy, which was very good. the cold slaw was very wet. and the ribs were not great, it was dry and didn't have much texture to them.
As for the wings, there was a lot to choice from. but, they were either very sweet, very spicy, or a mixture of both to create a sort of hotness gradient. I had the spicy garlic wings and my roommate ordered the medium wings. However, I think the two wings either ended up becoming one flavor or they both tasted very similar (probably the former). Since I could smell the garlic, i assumed they were both the spicy garlic. Anyway, the wing was crispy and fried to the right texture. plenty of meat. Ultimately, the sauce was not to my liking. i've had better.
We had a wonderful waiter that worked with us to find the perfect sauces for our group of 5.  The service was  great at this location.
The trivia was down which was a bummer! Â We enjoyed all the different sporting events throughout the restaurant. Â
The wings were good. Â Some of the boneless wings were not saucy enough. Â Even our waiter commented on it and brought out some more sauce. Â I give this place 4 stars because the service was good but the fact that some of the wings didn't have sauce on them brought the stars down.
I love the spicy garlic and medium sauces! Â YUMMY!
They broadcast UFC pay-per-view events , have plenty of TV's and serve beer and for that they get 3 stars. I haven't been for football but I can imagine it gets crowded. The waitresses all around seemed  very attentive to making sure noone was ever waiting for a beer. As far as serving wings in an area that has it down to a science sadly they come up a little short.... the wings are ok but I wouldnt make it a go to place for them. I prefer the rusty nail as they have been doing it for years and are always solid.  My advice, eat first, then go to watch sporting events and drink beer.
Review Source:Megan's review is unsurprisingly very accurate.
Summary- Just getting beer and watching the game? 4 stars.
Eating food? DON'T!!!
Food- 1 Star
We got-
-Buffalo (traditional aka bone in) wings in the "Hot BBQ"
-Boneless Wings with "Honey BBQ"
-Queso con Carne
-a Chicken "Flip" aka American Quesadilla
-a Chicken Taco looking thingy
The traditional wings are small (bordering on tiny) and the "hot bbq" lacked flavor and heat. Ravenswood's hot bbq wings destroy these wings. I would also put the rusty nail and probably a few other local places above these wings. The boneless wings were just awful. Dry and lacking sauce, basically a glorified chicken nugget. The queso con carne was the best appetizer we got, not a great sign for a place called buffalo wild wings.
Both of the "main" dishes were super bland. They also come with chips as opposed to fries, which is both cheap and odd. Would not order again.
Service- 3 Stars
Waitress was great, attentive, obviously had experience and was a pro. The first order of our traditional wings came out wrong, which wasn't her fault as far as I could tell.
The way the Hostess handled things was odd. It was football Sunday and she was obviously afraid to commit to a time for people, but she was just awkward about the whole thing. I saw many people turn away when she wouldn't tell them a time, then the whole place was about half empty at 3:45... just poor management of the whole process.... why not just say 30 mins to an hour and half and let people decide based on that?
Atmosphere- 4 Stars
TV's EVERYWHERE! Which is good if you are here for a game. Not a date place or even a dinner place in my opinion. So much television it's overload (in a good way if you love football). Seats are reasonably comfortable. It was loud, but it was Football Sunday. Lots of kiddies running about too.
Beer- 4 Stars.
Good selection, nice and cold. Only odd thing is we got a few beers at the table that were 7/8's full.
So I had to check this out because I LOVE wings. So obviously I have heard a lot about this highly anticipated restaurant opening. It's open in a lot of other places and I've heard great things so I had to go.
The layout is great. You can sit inside or outside and there are TV's everywhere! You also have the option to get a mini computer like thing so that you can play trivia on the TV or poker which is pretty neat. I assume you just ask your server my brother did it once but my server didn't mention anything about it, but I saw it up on the screens.
They have a pretty sweet beer selection and a bunch of interesting mixed drinks. Â They also had a lot of amazing looking food on the menu. I had come for the wings but I'll be back for all the other incredible options that they had.
On the the food. So we ordered 4 different types of wings, I couldn't have been more excited theres like 12 or so different flavors of wings that you can try and they rank them from sweet to hot so its easy to pick out whatcha want. We tried honey bbq, asian zing, Spicy garlic, and teriyaki. My favorites of the two were probably the teriyaki and the asian zing. the wings were good but they weren't my favorite. I'd probably be down to try more flavors but I'm definitely not impressed. There are better wing places in the area. I prefer a crisper wing and while these were good in flavor I think they lacked in texture and wing quality.
So I'd be back to watch some games, drink more beer, and try the other options on the menu, but when I'm craving wings I'm probably going somewhere else.
