I usually don't write reviews for chain restaurants, but this one is inside of Houston Hobby airport, and airport restaurants don't usually stand up to the regular ones outside. Â They are usually they are "express" or "jr." or something like that. Â This was a regular full blown BBW though.
After leaving LAX super early in the morning and flying on Southwest, I was pretty hungry by the time I got off my plane. Â And wouldn't you know, right in front of my gate was this Buffalo Wild Wings. Â I LOVE their wings in Honey BBQ sauce and their parmesean garlic potato wedges with cole slaw. Â That's my ideal meal at BBW. Â I placed my order and waited for my lunch. Â I remember thinking my waiter has a great memory because he took my order and the order of the guy next to me without writing it down. Â Well he kinda didn't. Â As he was punching in the order, he kept asking me if the item was correct.
They still had the usual special on Thursdays, boneless wing thursdays, but I got regular wings instead. Â My wings came out (no celery or carrots though, he did forget about that), the potato wedges and cole slaw. Â The wings and potato wedges were exactly as they are at home. Â The cole slaw, well, I've been told I'm in the south, so I shouldn't have been surprised about Miracle Whip. Â Let me tell you something - MIRACLE WHIP IS NOT MAYO!!!!! Â ugh. Â
There are other food options if I walked further down the terminal, but the usual fast food fare. Â This was a good food option for the time I had ( I had a 2 hour layover, so I had time to sit down). Â I could see people stopping by for a drink too, I believe they still had happy hour even though they are in the airport.
