Let me start off with saying I love Buffalo Wild Wings. I love watching my Colts play on the big screens, I like the atmosphere, and the food. I am writing this review because I unfortunately did not have a good experience at the Buffalo Wild Wings in Orange.
Well a group of coworkers and I decided to grab a quick meal after work and it was a good thing that I left early to get a a table. I walked into the restaurant and was not greeted by anyone. I was literally standing at the hostess desk for 10 minutes. There was a server who was at the stand left to clean a table and still did not say anything to me. There was also a server at the to go register who did not acknowledge me. After someone else walked in a third server asked her if she needed help. When she asked her, I stepped in and said that I had been waiting first. I felt awful for cutting off the other guest but I was not going to wait any longer to put my name in. As I was waiting for the table I noticed that two other parties had walked in and they too were waiting to be greeted. I suggested to them to go up to the host stand since I had waited so long to put my name in and that no one had acknowledged my presence.
I had asked to be seated outside where I had seen plenty of tables available but when we were seated inside I asked the hostess why weren't able to get a table outside. She said that the server for outside was running late. I asked her how long that would be since my friends were still not here and I did not mind waiting for a table outside and she said I don't know it just depends on when the server gets here. Â I did not understand why they could not allocate another server to that area. So we were seated inside. I was sitting at a table for six by myself waiting patiently and was pleased when both the server and the manager came over to make sure I was fine and to see if I needed anything. The server was nice but when the food came out I was a little disappointed. I had ordered 12 wings half in Asian Zing and half in mild extra sauce and crispy. The Asian Zing wings were perfect but the mild had hardly any sauce. When I asked the waitress for extra sauce she made a point to tell me it costs extra for sauce. I showed her the lack of sauce on my wings and she brought out an extra sauce for me. It was quite clear that she was annoyed with me.
Overall I have been to many Buffalo Wild Wings throughout the years and will go back but this was just a very disappointing experience. My friends believe that it is because it is located in a tourist area and that they don't care about locals. Well I hope that's not the case because that is just a loss for them.
My experience: Â We waited over 30 minutes to be seated. Â We told the receptionist we wanted the booth with the video game. Â (Our kids like to play it). Â After the long wait she thought we wanted just a booth. Â So we waited extra-long for something we didn't even want. Â Just the way the whole thing went down and the way they were sitting people was completely disorganized. Â In my opinion the owner should be looking at the management staff on that. Â That first impression goes a long way.
But to their defense after we were seated things went much better. Â The server was great helpful and brought us our drinks right away. Â I must say if you are watching your calorie intake this is not the place to go. Â If not and looking for good bar type of food defiantly the place to go. Â The wings are good. Â Our favorite is the Mango Habanero.
So all and all that's why I gave them a three star bad first impression but they made up with it with the food and service. Â I would go back again.
DO NOT ORDER TAKE OUT FROM THIS PLACE!!
I placed my order and they said it would be ready in 15 minutes. I've never had a problem with my orders until last week. I called at noon and was not told that due to the lunch rush it could be a little longer than 15, Â no they just told me 15. I understand it's busy so I didn;t expect it to be any longer then 20.
I got there and waited at the front behind 6 people for 30 minutes. A lady in front of me had been waiting for her order for over 45 minutes that she phoned in. The cashier was taking his damn time ringing people up and answering the calls. I had to ask the host if there was anyone helping him  because the group of people gathered at the front of the store was waiting for pick up not to be seated.
I paid for my food and still have not receieved anything 30 minutes later. A lady comes in and asks for her order and they already have it ready. Wtf? I'm only given an hour lunch and time was ticking so I told the cashier I wanted a refund. He found his manager who quickly gave it to me, but said the wait usually is about 30 minutes during lunch rush.
First off, if that's the case why not have your employees tell the people who call in their orders that. Second, that's a BS excuse because I saw more than 8 employees just walking around doing nothing. You know it gets busy so have your employees do their job that's what you all are getting paid for.
The manager at this location is the same as the one in Huntington Beach so if the service seems similar that's why. BWW doesn't give a crap about their customers are being treated so they continue to do this. What's the point of the surveys when you guys don't even bother to make any improvements?
