First time eating at a Buffalo Wild Wings and my last! Â This location was especially horrible. Â Really bad very slow service and low quality less than sub par food. Â They had the 60 cent per wing happy hour special.....you get what you pay for I'd say. Â I ordered the boneless wings. Â Each one could not have been larger than maybe a quarter. Â Excessively small, overcooked to the point they were hard and like rubber. Â Over sauced and too much vinegar in their bbq hot. Â
Their service was crap and very slow, waitress only checked on us once and it was at the end of the meal when I told her of the poor quality.
Only good thing is manager comped the bill as he should have......but hours later I feel ill from their stuff.
Worst part is when an employee ran a small vacuum cleaner around the tables while we were eating......hint to management....people don't like stuff from the floor blown into the air to fall on their food. Â Do yourself a favor and skip this crap corporate chain....it sucks in every way
Service was good and the food was as expected, not the best ever but it is a wings place! Â Wings are good and there are more than a dozen flavors to choose from. Â There is something for everyone.
Given all the sports and games available, this is a good place in Windsor to spend the evening.
The beer selection was impressive and had a lot of local area brews.
I would go back.
Foods okay but kinda slow on getting your order out to you. Had a horrible waitress, strictly only cared about the guys thinking she would get a better tip from them and when she decided she wanted to stop serving us, she would walk by our table for 45 mins and ignore us when we asked for the check. Stay away from Maeghan. Downgraded the restaurant a star.
Review Source:I don't know why this place gets bad reviews. It's honestly one of my favorite places to eat, hang out and watch sports on the ginormo TVs! Bartenders have always been friendly and good service. My favorite here is the garlic Parmesan flat bread pizza! Really good! They don't have it on the menu anymore but the fried cinnamon squares with vanilla ice cream rocks! Definitely a laid back atmosphere. Fun times!
Review Source:Terrible service. We waited over a half hour just to order drinks then even longer to order food (had we known, we would've ordered food at the same time as our drinks!) finally ordered our food and it took 45 minutes to arrive. And to top things off it was cold! Asked for the blue cheese they forgot to bring us four times and it never came (but don't worry, they still charged us for us. Apparently you don't get a complimentary blue cheese with your wing order.) Ordered another round of drinks and they never arrived. Finally got our bill and after waiting half an hour for the waitress to come and take our credit cards, Â we finally went and found the manager. Thankfully the manager understood our frustrations over our hour dinner turning into a 3 hour ordeal, so he took the drinks that we actually did receive off of our bill. Overall a terrible experience for not very good food. If you want Buffalo Wild Wings definitely go to the one in Manchester - MUCH BETTER SERVICE!!!
Review Source:Been here twice now for happy hours with the co-workers. Â Some thoughts...Obviously, you hopefully know going in that the concept is sports bar centered around chicken wings. Â Beer and wings. Â Wings and beer. Â They do serve other things sure, but then why else are you coming to a place called Buffalo Wild Wings?
That being said, I was actually reluctant to schedule a second happy hour here after the first one. Â Not that we had a bad first time, mind you. Â But the place is loud...Like dance party, nightclub loud. Â Like 'barely hear your neighbor' loud and 'good luck hearing anything outside your immediate area if you are with a larger group' loud. Â They have at least 3 dozen televisions going and music going and acoustics that you would think are designed to accentuate everyone's chatter and TV noise and jukebox to maximize the noise level. Â So, not a very good place to meet up and discuss the day's events...If that is your thing then by all means...and it must be many people's thing as they packed the place on both random weeknights I went.
Beer selection is very good to great here. Â Very good when you factor in the 2 dozen taps with a decent mix of craft brews (Had a Harpoon Leviathan IPA, which is a rare bar find) and moves to great when you look at their bottle selection. Â Only issue is that they don't have a tap / bottle list to look at. Â So you're stuck doing the awkward bar stalking trying to figure out all the different taps and bottle selections...
Staff very friendly and attentive...Kept watch on our drinks and always ready to pour some more. Â Food came out very quick in all cases...Makes sense given the menu items, but you will have wings / chips / pretzels on your table within 5 minutes of ordering.
Wings came out blazing fast...they're obviously frying up large batches in the back in anticipation of orders and saucing them to order. Â Which is fine...this isn't fine cuisine we're talking. Â A little annoyed at the prices they charge and then they charge you a la carte for celery and dressing? Â I get it if the wing pricing was say $6 - $8 for a dozen, but I'm being charged close to $12 for a dozen wings and you want to charge me more for celery and blue cheese? Â Really? Â As for the wings themselves, I would say they're merely average...Average meat and skin not as crisp as I like a wing to be. Â Normally, I wouldn't be so picky on quality of an appetizer, but this *is* the reason you're coming here, right? Â It's not a bad wing really, but don't come here expecting some heavenly wing experience or you will leave disappointed.
One last tip: Â Not a guy that has a spicy heat fetish, but I usually can handle a fair amount of heat and usually feel very comfortable ordering an establishment's 'hot' buffalo wing. Â BWW tends to take a more aggressive approach to that word and would caution you against just blindly assuming the 'hot' wing will be OK (esp if you are ordering for group). Â I was having a hard time by the 3rd wing and I ordered a dozen! Â Co-workers were able lend an assist, but would recommend you stick to the 'medium' unless you are shooting for an 'exhilarating' (their word) experience.
Came here for dinner with a group of 5 on a Tuesday night (60 cent wing night) The place wasn't too crowded so we had our pick of seats. Ordered a few beers since it was still happy hour ($1 off on beers. Not much but hey every little bit counts). It took a while for the waitress to come take our order, but when she did come around she was very courteous. Ordered our wings then sat back and watched one of the many tvs surrounding the dining area. After 30 minutes of waiting for my wings my stomach was growling. Once our wings were finally delivered they were pretty good. We had the Honey BBQ, Thai Curry, Mango Habanero, Jammin Jalapeño, and Bufflao. Honey BBQ was my personal fav with Thai Curry a close second. The Habanero and Jalapeño were too spicy for my taste. We also had some fried pickles which were a bit chewey (thumbs down). The manager came over to ask how things were going and we mentioned how long it took to get our wings. He looked at our ticket and noticed that our order was put in 20 mins after we made it, so he took 3 orders off our bill.
All in all an Ok experience.
If you've read my profile, you'll know that I am a "Blazing Wings" challenge winner from Buffalo Wild Wings. Their Blazing sauce is very, very hot. I can take six of them on a regular basis, but not without tears streaming down my eyes. A word to the wise: Don't try these unless you can already feel none worse for wear after downing a good heap of habanero hot sauce.
Overall, this place meets my expectationis each time, so it has become a go-to place for me whenever I want to watch a game with friends, or whenever the wife is out doing something with "the ladies!"
The draft beers speak for themselves, with over 30 kinds, many of which vary with the season. The menu, while reasonably diverse, is definitely bent on the side of appetizers and bar-type eats.
I do enjoy the wings, and favor the Blazing, Thai Curry or Mango Habanero sauce. They also have a selection of dry seasonings they can toss them in. The Garlic-fried mushrooms are good, but seem to have shrunken in size sine our last visit. Â The burgers are what is called "Pub burgers." Those in the industry know what I am talking about...suffice to say you will never have to worry about a burger being cooked too rare, if you get my drift. Still, they were not dry or over-done. On our last trip, my wife had the Buffalitos, which are their take on chicken tacos, with lettuce, creamy sauce and pico de gallo. Her one complaint is that the wrap which held these sumptuous ingredients was frail, falling apart in her hands as she ate.
If your stomach has room, DO try the Dessert Nachos. This is a full-plate concoction, with a full size fried wheat tortilla, topped with four scoops of ice cream, accompanied by a nice handful of mini fried cheesecake bites...the whole thing drizzled with cocloate and caramel sauce. The interesting thing is that a commercial for BWW came on at the precise time we began to dig in, and they had a pic of the Dessert nachos....it looked exactly like ours. Good job!
The main thing that prevents BWW from a fourth star is the service lapses, mwhich, even though somewhat expected, still deter from the full experience. It peeves me to have our main courses arive before the appetizers. Still, the manager came by was apologetic, and everything else went well after that.
All-in-all, I feel the 10 mile trip is worth it, and I can't thnk of a better place to watch a game.
Came here for lunch today with low expectations. A recent coupon in the newspaper gave us a bit of a bargain...so the wife and I decided we'd try something different. reviews below aren't very good. My real grade probably should be an "I" for incomplete but i'm happy to report we had an enjoyable time. Its a noisy, busy place even with no sporting events going on. TV and music blast pretty loudly. Can't comment on the beer selection, burgers, platters etc. we just had the wings and fries and were very satisfied. we had an extremely friendly server...she really knew the menu and would have spent 15 minutes going over it all with us if we let her. wife had 6 wings...i had twelve..all with mild sauce. they were extremely messy to eat but with the blue cheese nearby and celery on the side...it made for a tasty lunch. manager was visible asking folks if all went well....just sense they cared that everyone left happy. decent wings with plenty of flavor and meat on each one.
Review Source:Where do I begin? Â I have heard so many good things about BWW but had never experienced the goodness for myself. Â I love wings, they specialize in wings so this seemed like a win win situation. Our waitress kept messing up our orders and our checks but I won't bash her, after all it was only her 5th time waiting on a table. Â The wings I chose were salt and vinegar dry seasoning thinking they would taste like the lays salt and vinegar chips I love. Â No such luck. Â The wings were so gross I didn't even finish them. Â Their mango lemonade was good so that was a plus! For 6 (nasty) wings it cost me about $6.00 and the drink was about $4 so not expensive at all. Â I don't think anyone else I was eating with was impressed. We went on a Saturday night and the place was pretty empty. Â This place is probably lots of fun on big sports nights though. Â Maybe next time I will just stick to regular hot wings.
Review Source:About 12 hours after having a few beers, a pretzel & cheese dip appetizer, and one order of wings at BWW in Windsor, everyone in my party became violently ill with food poisioning. Seriously, all four of us could not stop throwing up for the next 24 hours. The food is gross, it's as loud as a nightclub, and you're risking your health if you dine here. STAY AWAY!!!
Review Source:I believe I have already reviewed this place, but a recent experience has made me change my opinion. Yesterday, my boyfriend and I were catching what was supposed to be a quick lunch while we ran a few errands, and our experience started as disappointing, and ended in disaster. Our server was pleasant, but forever absent. The restaurant was very busy and seemed a bit short staffed. Our food took a terribly long time to arrive, and when it did, we found it very unsatisfactory. The kitchen messed up our wings order as well, so more time was spent tapping our toes and waiting for the order to be fixed. If these had been the only problems, we might have left thinking they were having an off day and we might have come back another time. However, just as we were finishing up and paying the bill, my  boyfriend took a sip from his drink and crunched down on what he thought were pieces of ice. They were actually shards of glass. He immediately began spitting out chunks of glass and panicking because he feared he may have swallowed some. We called over a manager and she was unsure how to handle the situation. She comped our bill, against my wishes, and we rushed off to the emergency room to make sure there hadn't been any real damage. I'm so frustrated to think that a glass had broken, perhaps in the ice at the bar, or around other glasses, and proper protocol was not followed to ensure the safety of the patrons. We will surely not be returning and we will be sure to advise everyone we know to avoid this place as well.
Review Source:I've been to several BWW, and they are all the same. If you have high expectations, you will be disappointed. It's loud, so don't expect to carry on a conversation. The wings are just OK. Do some local research and you will find a bar with better wings, count on it. Tuesdays are 50 cent wing nights, but they charge you for the blue cheese...LAME!
Review Source:Been there half a dozen times. If you go in with the right frame of mind- this is a solid choice. Cold beers, great wings, Â tons of TV for sports, but with a HIGH noise level. A quiet romantic rendez-vous ain't gonna happen here. I've had the regular and boneless wings with a good variety of the sauces and they have been terrific every time. Saw a Bruin playoff game there in May, a ton of people were wearing Bruins jerseys and man, it was loud. We went there during the Halloween Storm ten days of darkness- and it was crowded and noisy with college football in a 360 degree panorama. To be honest, we had a terrific time there. So leave your pretension at home- chill, kick back and enjoy.
Review Source:It's ok. My biggest complaint is that if you're gonna call a place Buffalo Wild Wings, then you better have some damn good wings... but they dont. Their wings taste like they came from the frozen food section at Price Choppers. And they're tiny as hell. Their other entrees are ok (burgers, wraps, etc), however I HATE that all the food comes in this cardboard folding tray and not on a PLATE?? (I'm a grown man, not a child) And this is a restaurant, not a cook-out...
However, the service is pretty good. The beer selection is excellent. And the TV's are great. I would recommend this place for drinks only since the food is average (at best).
Go to Archie Moore's or Wings Over for really good wings
Average. Wings Over definitely has better boneless than this location. They gave me bleu cheese even though I specifically asked for ranch. I would not make a special trip to go here again.
The Caribbean sauce was not what I expected, and the neither that nor the buffalo sauce covered the wings... It felt like they took a school lunch chicken nugget and dabbed sauce on it. I was very unimpressed.
Funny. I'm not a fan of chicken wings, despite being a fan of almost any other part of a chicken I can fry up and put in my mouth. Still, when you are eating food at a restaurant known for a certain edible commodity, you've got to put that chicken in your mouth regardless!
The wings I had, with their parmesan garlic sauce, were filling. I got eight and was ready to burst after just five! Meagan, our waitress, was engaging and helpful in the chicken wing sauce selection process. Woodchuck Amber Cider (which I was impressed they even HAD) was only $4.25 for a bottle! I was awestruck...then realized that I have come accustomed to NYC prices. *hmmmmm*
Lots of televisions with lots of sports programs. Plenty of seating in both the dining and bar areas. Lots of typical North Central Connecticut guys with their Tap Out t-shirts, Red Sox caps, Bud Light bottles, and shot glasses, sitting next to their North Central Connecticut girlfriends with their fake nails, bleached stick-straight hair, Blackberries, and increasingly bored facial expressions. (I grew up in CT. I'm allowed to hate. Haaaa.)
Decent enough place. It's a chain that boasts chicken wings. It delivers said wings. They are adequate enough. What else is there to say?
if you want this place to be a fancy non sports bar don't go
because that's not what it is
its a place for you and your friends to get together and watch the game eat some wings play some games using buzztime
I'm going for the blazing challenge in may, I'm excited for it I've been training for it by buying a bottle of blazing sauce
they've got 14 sauces ranging from sweet to your mouth is on fire and usually 2 others that they try out
bugers are ehh
wraps are good
wings are not THE best but thats not what matters for this place its the company and the atmosphere and thats what make this place a 5 star
Buffalo Wild Wings, a great restaurant to enjoy the game(s) without being interrupted, except by indigestion. Located immediately off of I-91 exit 38 in Windsor, CT. Â Buffalo Wild Wings offers several flavor variations of wings that will take seemingly forever to order and other nondescript bar food. Â
We have been to Buffalo Wild Wings a couple of times. we have ordered out and gone to dine in at their Windsor location. Â The number of televisions and games being played in their location is impressive but that will be one of the only things that impresses you. Â The wait staff is extremely immature, rude and so slow. Â On two seperate times we went while the place was pretty much empty. Â The building is about the size of a football field and one girl was 'waiting' on two tables in the extreme corners. Â The rest of the staff was just chillin' at a table shooting the shit about the last party they went to or their latest sexual experience. Â Nothing that I really wanted to hear that was for sure. Â
You would thing that a restaurant know for one type of food would be good at making that food but even with us being the only people ordering in the restaurant it still took 30 minutes for 12 full size wings and 12 'midget wings'. Â There is nothing worse than waiting 30 minutes for wings and half of them look like they don't even have meat on them. Â
Similar to Chinese buffet's this place is like Russian roulette, for a midsized party someone is going to get indigestion, someone is going to get sick and or diarrhea. Â I would suggest avoiding, despite the airplane hanger size, this place never fills up, they are not well liked in the area so if you want give it a try, your experiences may be better than mine, it isn't possible they could be much worse...
We came here because we were hoping the food would be better than hooters. In a half hour I was wishing I was at Hooters.
We went out to watch UFC fights so we expected to wait to sit. I did NOT expect to wait longer to sit because they were seating larger groups that came in after us BEFORE they sat us.  At least the were playing really heavy music before the fights started, that was cool.  After about a 45 minute wait, we were seated...OUTSIDE.  So we are seated at low tables on the patio, trying to see into the bar, around people's heads, to watch the fight. It is also a total wind tunnel  outside - they have these ridiculously strong fans on by the windows (the waitress told us it is to keep cigarette smoke outside) - stuff was blowing off our table and we  had to go to the car and get jackets despite the nice weather. (It was also bad to be seated inside by the window as we chatted with the people near us and they were all freezing too).
Everybody by the window was ordering coffee, odd in a sports bar.
We ordered chili con queso with chips - the dip was watery with huge inedible chunks of overcooked beef, not remotely spicy and it wouldn't stay on the stale chips. My friend's burger tasted like burger king - you know, that faux smoky/grilled taste and the fries, well maybe they were ok but they got cold so fast I'm not sure. The popcorn shrimp were nicely seasoned but had so much breading they didn't taste like shrimp anymore, the mango habanero sauce I got with it was ok - kinda sweet, not as spicy as you would hope. The wings were overcooked, possibly microwaved but already cold when we got them. The caribbean jerk seasoning was good but the chicken was so inedible it didn't matter. The boneless wings tasted like fried breading as the chicken was completely dry and the hot buffalo sauce was NOT spicy.I know, you're thinking "why didn't you get the waitress??" - but that was near impossible. The waitstaff was completely overwhelmed and our waitress was cranky.
I am NOT going here again.
Have to agree with most of the other reviews. I'd give it 2.5 starts if I could...but 3 was just too much.
This place is great it you just want a place to hang out with a bunch of people, have some drinks, and watch the game(s) as the bar area is pretty huge, and there's a crap load of TVs. The food, however, is kinda meh.
Food:
The wings are reasonably good, though they aren't particularly cheap and they seem to always be on the small side. Some of the sauces are pretty good, but they're nothing spectacular. The Asian Zing and Mango Habanero are pretty good.
I hate the "plates" they use for the wings..they're flimsy and cheap looking. They need to at the very least come up with a way to consolidate them into a larger container when you order several flavors...
Drinks:
So they have a ton of beer to choose from, but the last time I was there I tried to order a beer only to have two selections in a row be "out." Why they don't do what EVERY OTHER ESTABLISHMENT does when a beer is out (i.e. put a cup or something else on the tap handle to I know to not bother asking)? Even the waitress wasn't aware of which ones were out with any certainty.
Service:
The waitress was nice, and pretty cute too, but it was hard to find her some times.
They apparently do that trivia thing that people other than myself seem to be so fond of...so maybe that's a perk if you're into that.
Apparently for every "tall" beer sold they're donating $0.50 to a fund raising money for the families who recently lost loved ones in that Manchester shootout, so that's pretty cool.
You might find it odd to know that someone that hates wings is giving BWW a 5* rating. Â Fortunately, I can tell you it doesn't matter how their wings are because this place is awesome.
There are about 60 TVs, literally, and the only disappointing factor about the entire establishment is that their projectors aren't HD to go along with the televisions, which is a small bit of a let down. Â
However, I've come here a number of times with friends for a sit-down lunch... always great, timely service. Â Just yesterday I came for the Sports Bar side of things -- the World Cup is on and you're damn right I was watching England/USA in HD. Â The bar was packed for the match, and the commentary was blaring with every projector in the building being tuned to the full 90 minutes. Â ABSOLUTELY PERFECT. Â Only thing lacking in the ambiance was fan chanting, which I tried to start but no one wanted to join in. Â Typical boring American soccer fans.
Trivia fans, don't forget Buzztime! Â BWW has 6 or 7 TVs tuned into trivia, and another 4-5 in the bar area tuned to the Buzztime Cards network (Texas Hold'em and Blackjack). Â I'm a trivia fiend, and I set some new records that people will have a hard time passing!
On to the food. Â For not being a wings guy their wings are still pretty good. Â But more than anything I LOVE LOVE LOVE their 3/4 lb. shrimp appetizer basket. Â What a steal at $8.49, and what a taste! Â Absolutely incredible. Â I could eat 4 lbs of these a day if I had the money.
Most important in a sports bar is full coverage of everything I want to watch, and BWW delivered. Â They normally open at 10:30 or 11, but are opening at 10 especially for the world cup. Â It probably will cost them some money because I think there were maybe 1 or 2 people there total (myself included during this time) and 2-3 waitresses/hostesses, but those are the kinds of things that sports bars are supposed to do for passionate fans.
BWW delivers on every level!
This place is good to go to have a few beers. Â Otherwise, don't bother. Â The food is average to poor and the service is terrible.
If you really want good wings in Windsor, keep going on Poquonock a couple miles and go to Jim's. Â It's a family run place and their wings are great. Â 10 times better than this place.
Good beer selection at BWW, that's one plus.
This is a terrible place to eat.
The wings are nothing special, the wraps are mehhh, and the nachos are terrible. I can't believe they actually served us what they served us - the chips were stale and the nachos were cold. It didn't look appetizing at all but we were willing to give it a try. Terrible.
They don't use real plates, they serve your food in paper bowl type things, which I don't find appealing at all because most paper, when put under food or something moist, will get soggy. Just kind of grosses me out.
I will not be back here if I can help it.
I became a fan of Buffalo Wild Wings when I visited one near Orlando, FL. On my up to Vermont, I saw a Buffalo Wild Wings just off Exit 38 on the I-91. So on our return trip home we decided to drop by.
Seating was pretty spacious, with a huge dining room area (20-25 tables). Just beyond that was the bar area, with bar seats, high tables, and booth tables. Ordinary Buffalo Wild Wings, but on steroids. In both the bar area and dining room area, there were LCD's galore. The walls were just covered with dozens of TV's showing every possible sports game. Huge thumbs up!! Every seat was a good seat in here.
For our party of 4, we ordered 50 wings ($35.00) with up to a selection of 5 different flavors, as well as an order of a basket of Onion Rings. We decided to go for 10 of each: Honey BBQ, Asian Zing, Caribbean Jerk, Mango Habanero, and Blazin'. Â It took about 10 minutes before our food was served. All the wings were delicious, crispy skin, tender meat inside, and a good amount of sauce on the outside. My favorites in order:
1) Asian Zing which had a perfect blend of saltiness from the soy and ginger, and some subtle heat from the chili pepper.
2) Mango Habanero - the sweetness of the mango complimented so well with the heat from the habanero. This is definitely not as hot as an habanero pepper, for those curious.
3) Caribbean Jerk - moderate caribbean spices with a hint of heat from the red pepper. Tasty yet fairly simple, almost a bit boring.
4) Honey BBQ - standard-fare honey bbq sauce. I found the sauce to be a little too thick and overdosed on the wings. Could have been balanced more with either a thinner sauce or less bbq sauce.
5) Blazin - Oh boy! Keep these babies away. The first bite tastes slightly smoky, and then slowly the burn starts to build up in your mouth until its almost unbearable. I'm an avid spice lover, as well as one of my other friends, and we both had trouble eating this. It had so much heat, that it didn't really have any other flavor. Be prepared to have some celery sticks and blue cheese on the side to douse down the heat on this bad boy.
Service was great as our waitress was very warm and polite. She made it a point to come over several times throughout our meal for refills, napkins, etc.
This Buffalo Wild Wings was definitely one of the better establishments. Wings were fairly standard as compared to the other locations but what really made this one stand out was the ambiance and great service.
Been there twice. Service was good both times but it wasn't  the service that was the issue. The issue here is the food and how it's served. The first time I went solo, the second with my wife. Both times were for lunch. The wings aren't bad but they serve them in little paper boats without celery, carrots or ranch/bleu sauce as a standard side. This has been standard everywhere I've ever had wings. I felt as if I was shortchanged. As far as the burger, I couldn't get it the way I wanted it cooked and it arrives in a plastic basket that's so tight you can barely get your hands around it.
Finally, the gravest tragedy of all, the ketchup...or should I say catsup. When my fries arrived, they were slightly limp, definitely not hand cut and possibly the frozen kind. To make matters worse, no Heinz. Are you kidding me? SOme generic label looking ketchup bottle with no name on it? I asked the waitress and she was so clueless I had to give her a lesson which I'm sure she could care less about.
And too many TV's! There must be 40-50 Tvs in this place. Overall, I'm never going back.
Might be ok if you want a beer and a basket of wings to watch the game. Â Otherwise, do not come if you're actually looking for a meal or dinner with friends. Â Anything other than wings and snacky stuff seems to be a complete afterthought, and there are plenty of local places in the immediate area who do wings just as well, albeit maybe with a little less variety.
Review Source:I have been to Buffalo Wild Wings many times being that I live across the street. Â However, I have yet to be impressed. Â Since the novelty of their Mango Habanero sauce wore off, I now realize that it is a mediocre bar/restaurant with a lot of televisions. Â
As for the good news: Â
The restaurant is fun for crowds, happy hours, trivia and sports games, but that is about it. Â The food is okay, and the beer selection is top-notch, with many on tap.
And the bad news:
The restaurant is completely useless for sitting down and having dinner with a group of friends when, instead of watching a television, you want to have a conversation. Â The food it terribly overpriced for what you get wings go for 80 cents a piece, except for Tuesday and Thursdays when they have their wing specials, that is very expensive. Â The service is horrible, the wait staff are novice at best and awfully slow. Â Â It takes forever for your pre-cooked wings to get tossed in some sauce and sent to the table. Â I find this unacceptable.
Every time I go, by the end of the night I am wanting never to come back. And that is not a good thing!
Oh Buffalo Wild Wings, how I love thee. Yelp should have a wing category.
After a fun 3 hour bus ride to Connecticut on Thanksgiving Eve, my aunt and uncle brought me here for some delish wings. He started telling me about the place and I was like, B-Dubs? YES! I haven't been to B-Dubs since my college days and I was a regular at 25 cent wing night on Tuesdays. I haven't found decent wings in Boston and I was finally going to get my fill.
BTW, the chain is also known as BW3s, based off their original name of Buffalo Wild Wings & Weck and was founded by two guys from Buffalo NY (they know a thing or two about the chicken wing).
They have a variety of sauces that you can cover your little baby wings with - everything from mild, sweet BBQ, Asian Zing, Parmesan Garlic to the blazing hot flavor.
Don't like buffalo wings? There's a bunch of other fare to fill your belly, from traditional bar fare such as nachos and burgers. I think they have salads on the menu as well.
This particular location is very large, with a large seating area in the front and a large bar area in the back with additional seating. And while you are waiting for your wings, you can enjoy your drinks and play trivia.
