Not much needs to be said about the parking situation. It sucks. Bad. Bring a backpack for your long hike to and from your car. Hydration is essential!

The lawn... forget it. You cannot see a goddamn thing unless you're standing, which defeats the purpose of having a lawn. And when you are standing, all you see are tiny specks which may or may not be the performers, from at least 500 feet away. It's terrible.

I know the lawn seats are cheap, but even so, it's not worth it to watch a concert on a TV screen when you came to see it live. I'd honestly rather buy a concert DVD.

Outrageous prices for food and drink, parking too. The only reason to go here is if you have actual seats in the amphitheater.

Probably the best place atmosphere-wise to see a concert in Connecticut.  I've been to concerts at every venue in Connecticut, and the Dodge (formerly known as the Meadows) has the best vibe.  It's definitely a young-person vibe though.  The lawn is sometimes muddy, I've known people to accidentally sit on used condoms (ewww)  The staff range from helpful to downright jerks, but there is no other place in Connecticut that I would choose to see a concert at over the Dodge.

I did not like this place at all. Here are a few reasons:

    1) The parking lots are so awful and unorganized that it makes it infuriating to get a spot. They have cops waving you in all different directions until you finally just ignore them and drive to a spot and park for yourself.

    2) It was full of obnoxious annoying spoiled brats doing drugs and being loud...which led to many fights. I have been to a few amphitheaters and fights do happen from time to time...but this place had a fight every hour on the hour! Neither the security crew nor the cops responded to some of them which was just insane. No wonder they have had so many issues with fights, vandalism and women being harassed.

    3) The venue itself is so run down and has awful sound. I always hang out on the lawn with friends at the Tweeter Center in Philly and have a great time. We can hear the show and have a great view of the Ben Franklin Bridge in the background. With this place the sound system needs upgrading and the place needs a good cleaning.

    4) When you do not have the privilege to park close by the arena like some of the lucky ones do, you get stuck about a half mile away from this place and it is quite a trek to the lawn. Just insane after a show ends, it takes forever to get back and since it took you longer that means you are last to get out of the arena parking lot.
