This place is pretty awesome and I recommend everyone checking it out at least once if you live in the area. Great for dancing, watching the drag show, hanging out with friends. Extremely strong, cheap drinks - watch out! They will fill your rum & cokes literally halfway with rum...and then you'll feel it...dun dun dun...
Then you'll tell a drag queen that she looks like Beyonce.
Then you'll trip on a step and get kicked out.
I have only been here once but I think all in all it was a good experience. Â My understanding is that the first and third Friday of the month they get packed, Fridays are latin night which is a really hyped atmosphere, loud, shows, exciting. Â I think they have drag shows all weekend on the hour but I am not really sure. Â If you want to gauge how happening this location is, I believe that the the cigarette fenced in area outside is your best indicator. Â If the pen is empty then the bar inside probably is too. Â When they are packed there is not a lot of room for dancing, lines are long for going to the bathroom and not really any where comfortable to sit. Â Still the energy is good and from my experience the DJ kept everyone amped. This is technically a gay bar but you don't need to be gay or in drag to enjoy yourself.
Review Source:I love it here! Â I guess that's because I love gay guys almost as much as my kids. Â Everytime I've gone I've had a drunken adventure! Â Like the time I'd brough my dad, stepmother, very straight brother and sister. Â All first timers. Â We had a ball! Â Drag queens fell in love with my dad (he's a looker) and flirted with him relentlessly, to my stepmommy's chagrin, lol and then I went to the bathroom and was tongued down (like seriously tackled) by a nice looking latina. Â Or the time my friend got so drunk she vomitted right in her lap, sounds bad, it was funny though. Good times. Â
The shows are great! Â I have a friend I used to work with who's in the drag shows and he's amazing *Hi Nate*. Â The drinks will get you beyond drunk (so be careful)and the bartenders are the best I've come across. Â There's no posturing here, no bs, just good music, good drinks, fabulous people.. The works. Â
Love it!
