I like to pride myself on the accuracy of my reviews but in the interest of full disclosure, this review of the Blue Heron wine shop may be impacted by the presence of earlier-consumed ethanol alcohol in the form of gin and sake. Â Anyhow, we were hanging out at Sakura Garden when our lovely Linda mentioned a wine-tasting over at the Blue Heron. Â Undaunted by copious amounts of cold weather, rock shrimp, sushi and cocktails we popped across the lot quickly to this cozy wine shop! Â
The Blue Heron is a great looking wine store with a substantial display of bottles. Â The name comes from a local migratory bird and the place is really geared for a great experience. Â The free wine tasting covered a nice shiraz, cabernet sauvignon, bordeaux and port, going from dry to sweet. Â The employee pouring the wines was very helpful and a knowledgeable professional. Â I ended up going home with a great bottle of 2006 Justin Isosceles wine that I'll be saving for a special occasion. Â Thank you Blue Heron for a great wine-tasting and beautiful store!
