It's gotten worse. Chips stale and disgusting. They changed the menu so it's full of random new names for typical items, e.g. tostadas are now "chalupas" and flautas are now "taquitos iguana." Dumb. The blonde hostess sits at the bench by the cash register chatting on her cell phone ignoring customers. You have to ask for plates for appetizers and for silverware. Different servers approach your table to the point you can't tell whom you're supposed to ask for service. The ground beef in my tacos seemed off somehow. Don't think I'll be back.

My wife and I both love good Mexican food & were excited to discover a Mexican restaurant open late-nite.  My wife is a migraine sufferer and the only trigger is MSG (monsodium glutamate).  Many Chinese & Mexican stripmall stores use this as a flavor enhancer.  I ran in while she waites in the car to check with the manager if they use MSG.  He responds in a somewhat indignant manner that only Chinese restaurants use MSG, never Mexican, and certainly not his.  Cool!  We order, we eat.  They are not very busy so we get great service.  The food is okay. The fire grilled pork chops are actually pan fried, a bit dry, but the verde sauce saves them.  My wife's grilled chicken breast with grilled veggies are flavorful, so much so she eats with trepidation and forboding.  I assure her that the manager was insistant of the no MSG.  Long story short, the auras and pain kick in at 4:00 am and the full blown migraine is still with her 2 days later.

One of those so-so Mexican places that serves the same type of food as so many other so-so Mexican places.  They do serve large portions, and it's not terrible.  It's just so amazingly unexceptional and interchangeable with dozens of other similar joints.
