Whenever we want to upgrade to a little higher class we go to the Cellar. The food and service have never failed us. Last time we went we had a new waitress but she had good backup and did a great job.
Always great steaks and fish, xtra clean and quiet.
A peacful dinner out for a few bucks more...? This is the place,
Wasn't expecting much. Weird location and the hotel isn't much. Had a good coupon though and a couple friends said it wasn't bad at all.
Had the 8oz filet. Super tender and pretty tasty. Salad was excellent. Veggies left something to be desired though. Price wasn't bad for a cut of meet that good. We will go back.
Booked the banquet room for a birthday party. Â Never again! The 18% tip was worked into the bill like a large party would be, however she deserved 0%. Â As I'm placing my families order, I felt like I had to be overly nice in an attempt to get her to be nice back. Â She clearly did not want to be there. Â She kept cutting me off and trying to walk away before I could even finish. After 2 hours of waiting we went looking for the waitress to ask when our meals would be coming out. Â After searching around, we didnt find her but found a different waitress who explained that she lost our order. Â I felt like they could have at least let us know about the mistake so we weren't left wondering for so long. She brought my daughters appetizer salad well after most of the party got their main dishes. Â My poor nephew who ordered a kids meal had to wait and watch most of us eat before he even got his meal. Â We were there over two hours before the first main dishes started coming out. Â Nobody at our table got a refill on water in the 3 hours that we sat there! Â Those who ordered beverages had to go to the bar for refills. Â The food was o.k. but not worth $20-$28 per plate. Â The filet mignon was about 4 oz rather than the 8 it was advertised as. Â The shrimp scampi were miniature baby shrimp and rubbery at that. Â Not worth the price nor the time.
Review Source:Prime rib in the lounge. Â Excellent is all I can say. Â Had the 8oz. and husband had the 16oz. Â Wonderful flavor, decent piece of meat with little fat, au jus was good (not salty), and horseradish was ok (could've used a little more horseradish). Â Vegis. were wonderful - not mushy, cooked in butter, just right. Â Baked potato was delicious and husband's garlic mashed were good (but he said they could've been a little creamier).
Drinks were fine. Â All in all a wonderful meal, great service, good surroundings.
Will definitely go here again!
My food was very, very good. Prime rib was cooked to perfection, served as I had requested, medium rare. Â The au jus was good and I was completely surprised by the horseradish. Usually I'm just not a huge fan of horseradish, but theirs was great. Rice pilaf was tasty and the sauteed fresh veggies were excellent. Portions were very generous, so go with an appetite. Drinks from bar were good and like the food, generous.
Service was good, friendly. I will be back to enjoy The Cellar again.
