Was out in downtown vacaville about a month ago and it was like crickets... I feel like none of the bar owners are taking any reviews of their establishments serious. This place is about the only place I go to if I end up in downtown vacaville. I have a couple of good things and bad things to say about this place.
Good things- The bartenders are ALWAYS great. They are friendly, well maintained hygenically and are very efficient at their job. I have always enjoyed chatting up whoever is behind the bar no matter what time of day that I have been there. The drink prices are also very affordable and usually well made so "high-five" there!
Bad things- (keep in mind this is my own personal opinion) It reminds me of a small town community center on the inside. The pink walls, flowered carpet, tiny dance floor, and overall lack of interior decor just makes me feel like i'm at my grandma's small town community center/senior citizen center. They did a nice job updating the bar top but i hope they keep going throughout the place. I have seen live bands here before, I just wish they would open up the space dividing the bar and the lower level to the dance floor to make it feel less clausterphobic down there. I also don't understand the "cover charge" when there is no possible way that the cover charge can even make a difference, especially on the night I was there last. There were less than 30 people there and a lot of people chose not to come inside because of the cover charge. The goal at any establishment should be to get people in the door so if waiving the cover charge is the solution then it should at least be considered.
Other than that it's alright... nothing to write home to mom about and certainly not a reason to go "out" in downtown vacaville. It will always be just a mediocre place with tons of potential unless the owner finally starts "caring" about their investment.
This is easily the worst bar in Vacaville. The bouncer is a complete asshole. Â I have never been treated shittier. Â I don't know where you have to fail at life to become a bouncer at a bar in Vacaville, but this dude needs to stop taking it out on the clientele. Bouncer; I know that you're frustrated that life didn't turn out the way you hoped it would and that it must anger you to watch people vastly more successful than you have a good time out, but you can't just act like a dick to the people that pay your minimum wage paychecks. Take the piercings out of your face, you're over 40 for fucks sake! If you want to look younger, dye the grey hair, it's depressing! And try to be nicer to people before you lose more customers.
Review Source:All the bars downtown suck ass and this one is no exception........If you like seeing duche bags from highschool you fit right in here......
The bouncers a dick heads the bands are always local bands that arent very good......the bar tenders usually look cute but there not very nice or pleasent ive noticed....... The worst part of the place is the people who go here...the customers are usually duche bag drunkin shit starters ..... as a side note all the bars downtown are very "clickish" ......... i guess im just tired of the vacaville downtown bar sence...enough is enough
I went here with a couple of pals from Vallejo. The moment we walked in there, one of the bartenders knew the twins that I was hanging out with. The owner gave me some food that she made. I had a cool time, I have to say. The place is unpretentious. People come as they are. The live bands are pretty cool too.
Review Source:I explained to a male employee (on 12/13/09 @ approx. 11:10 am pacific time - this description is obviously for the venue owner to possibly identify this employee) that I inadvertently left my CC there several weeks ago and I then asked him to discard it. His response was as follows, verbatum, not paraphrased, "If I find it, I will toss it." Then he proceeded to immediately disconnect the line without giving me a chance to react. Unless of course this is par for the course, I find this to be unacceptable and by no means alleviates my concern around future fraudulent charges. I will revise my 1 star rating if there is overwhelming public opinion to the contrary.
Cancelled my CC. Unbelievable! Â
I grew up in VV my entire life and never once visited Cheers until recently (I am now 27) and I had a decent time. I expected to revisit as frequently as possible to the extent that I was back home at my parents', but I am vehemently opposed now. I will take my business to the other popular bar in downtown VV - can't recall the name.
