I called on Sunday afternoon to make a reservation for Tuesday evening for 2 (305.408.8386). Â Phone rang four times then answered by a generic message. Â Left my request and asked for a call back to confirm. Â No call back on Sunday.
Left two messages on Monday (305.408.8386 and 8388) for the same request. Â Realizing they are closed on Monday, I expected a confirmation call on Tuesday AM.
As of  1:58pm on Tuesday, no call back. Â
What costs more, Open Table or losing a customer?
Really glad I found this little gem in Kendall. Certainly not expected, but once inside this place really set itself apart from others around this location. Although in a small shopping center parking wasn't hard to find.
We had reservations, arrived 15 min early and were immediately seated. I'd suggest requesting a booth.
They had good service, although the waiter wasn't anything extraordinary our waters were refilled constantly and the food spoke for itself. We started with the pork wontons as our appetizers. Unique, the guava drizzle was a nice touch. I ordered the osso bucco which was great and my boyfriend ordered the short ribs. The mean came right off the bone and the presentation was very nice. Â I'm typically not a fan of sweet potatoes but it was delicious.
As far as the drinks go- I had a pomegranate sangria and it was awesome! I'd go back for drinks alone.
A dinner for two was reasonably priced given the quality, it's about what any other place in Brickell/South Beach/ Gables would charge you. The proportions are massive. Both plates could've easily fed two people. We had to take just about most of our entree home. Only thing I wasn't impressed with was their Crème brûlée.
Over all I'd recommend it. Very flavorful.
Outstanding food! Â The service was great although we did have a hiccup. Â
This is our second time visiting Chef Adrianne's. The first time was perfect. Â I cant say the same for last night. Â I admit we had no reservation this time and waited just a little while. Â They were very accommodating and sat us near the kitchen. Â We decided not to order drinks as I am unsure if I am expecting. Â Anyway, we placed our order and waited for an hour. Â My husband asked the waiter if we could at least get the appetizer out as he needed something in his belly. He mentioned the kitchen was backed up and it would be out on the fly. Â They were very apologetic and even offered me champagne. Â I would usually jump at the offer but was unsure as I mentioned I don't know for certain if I am prego. Â They brought a glass of champagne and shortly after a second request for an update, the appetizer came out. Â We ordered tamalito. Â It was AMAZING! Â We were both so hungry we were almost done before they checked on us again. Â After we were done, they told us they would comp the appetizer. Â We thought that was very nice of them. Â
We now waited another 30 minutes before our food came out. Â We ordered the duck and the rack of lamb. Â I was blown away by the lamb. Â The duck was good but I am not a huge fan. Â My husband thought it was good. Â I cant tell you enough about all the flavors. Â It was like an explosion of flavor! Â Very nice indeed. Â Unfortunately, at this point I had lost my appetite and felt a little ill after a few attempts to eat. Â We decide to take our meals home with us instead. Â
I cant tell you how many times they apologized and the servers were very attentive and obviously concerned. Â We could tell they were extremely busy and they took 4 walk-ins including us. Â At the end of the night, I had to step out because I was not feeling well and my husband stayed to pay the bill. Â When he got back he told me they comped the entire bill. Â Despite him telling them there was no need for that, they apologized once again and asked that we come again. Â
Overall I went for the food and I cant give her a bad review on that. Â It was truly outstanding. Â The staff is very attentive and do the best they can even under a stressful situation. Â We will be back but next time I will make sure and make a reservation. Â Maybe not during peak. Â Perhaps if the hostess knew they were backed up, she can tell the customers the wait would be longer. Â I prefer to know I will have to wait for a table (If I choose) Â than wait at the table expecting my food.
Ill be back but with a reservation!
The flavors were outstanding, everything we had was great.
The place is smaller than I expected; the service is excellent, the waitress passionate about the plates being put out, and knowledgeable. The prices were high, but
the portions were large and the good quality of the ingredients were noticeable.
The one appetizer that really stood out was the goat cheese balls, have that
The osso bucco is enough for 3 people, get ready to share or take home. The flavors are great and the meat is super tender.
The short ribs were excellent, I wish there was more sweet potato mash, it was outstanding.
The mahi had good flavor and a large portion
The passion sangria was good
The mango bread pudding was outstanding, do not pass on that
Chef Adrianne's is an oasis in the desert. The food in phenomenal, and the staff is very helpful. Â We tried the salmon and oso bucco. The latter was a bit disappointing but it was a matter of personal preference more than anything else. The former, however, was excellent! We couldn't get enough. We finished off with the creme brulee for dessert which was so much better than anticipated. You get what you pay for at this place! I can't wait to go back.
Review Source:I kept hearing fabulous things about Chef Adrianne's, so I decided to celebrate my bday here! We had 8pm reservations and were immediately seated upon arrival. Our waitress (I believe her name was Ashley) came over quickly and went over the specials with us. She was very knowledgeable about the menu and helped us to make our selections. We couldn't choose just one appetizer, so we decided to be piggies and order two! We started out with the sweet n spicy shrimp, and the chicken on a stick (one of the chef's nightly creations). They were both fantastic! The shrimp were cooked to perfection, and the chicken was crispy on the outside, and juicy on the inside. Both appetizers were full of flavor and absolutely delish! Next, we ordered the Osso Bucco and the 16oz Pork Chop, which were served with mashed potatoes and spinach. When they came out, I was in awe, as the portions were HUGE! The osso bucco could easily serve 3, and the pork chop 2! I now understand why Ashley suggested sharing an entree. Before taking a bite of my pork chop, I had to photograph it as the presentation was just beautiful! That, and the intoxicating smell of the truffle oil had my mouth watering! There were no disappointments here....everything was awesome and expertly prepared. The meats were tender and well seasoned, and it was very apparent that Chef Adrianne uses quality ingredients! We realized there was no way we could finish our entrees, so we saved space for dessert, and took home the leftovers. For dessert, we ordered the mango cheesecake, and the condensed milk panna cotta (another one of her nightly creations). Both desserts were awesome.  The panna cotta was served with Nutella, a raspberry purée, and little crunchies! It was one of the best desserts I have ever had! I look forward to dining here again, as Chef Adrianne's creativity and attention to detail provides for a memorable meal! So why 4 stars? Our service was a little haphazard. We never received a wine list, and had to ask for one. There was a long wait between courses, and it took a while for our dishes to be cleared after the entree. Refills of water were infrequent. Definitely forgivable, but I expect almost perfect service at that price point!
Review Source:I had a wonderful evening at Chef Adrianne's. The service was very good and my food was excellent. I had the salmon prepared with a delicious brown sugar coating served over potatoes. My friend had a steak. The food presentation is beautiful. I thoroughly enjoyed it with a nice bottle of Chardonnay. Since the portions are so generous, we skipped dessert but we're looking forward to our next visit.
Review Source:I was very excited to go to this restaurant from all the great reviews I've seen/heard  but unfortunately I was disappointment as far as service goes.
My reservation was made for 9pm (6 people) half of my party made it at 8:55pm but we still had to wait more than 30 minutes because they were waiting on the table to clear. We ordered our entrees at 10pm, I was the only one to order an appetizer. The organic tomato soup was okay but nothing out of this world. For it being a Saturday night I didn't find it to be busy what so ever. It was already 11pm & we were still waiting for the food to come out, at that point our server came out apologizing for the delay but it would be another 15 minutes because they had to make fresh mashed potatoes. We decided to wait the 15 minutes, which turned out to be 30 minutes, now being an hour & 30 minutes for all of our entrees to come out.
I will say this, even though the wait was extremely long for our food & all of our steaks came out over cooked (we all ordered medium & they came out well done) everything was very delicious! We had to be somewhere at midnight because I was celebrating my 25th birthday so we couldn't send back the steaks. I did ask to speak to Chef Adrianne but she was very "busy" so she didn't come out. Knowing that we had to wait an hour & a half for our food they comped the whole bill. Being a pastry chef myself & working for the industry for years now I gave Chef Adrianne the benefit of the doubt & took it as her having a bad night (we've all had them). It was just a major lack of communication in the kitchen but I will give Chef Adrianne's another chance in the near future.
We did order a dessert, the chocolate brownie sundae, which was awesome! All the other desserts on the menu sounded amazing too so next time I hope to try one of them as well.
I had been wanting to go to this place for a very long time now...because I loved Chef Adrianne's story on what drove and inspired her to open this restaurant. I believe she mentions the reason for her inspiration on her restaurant's website. Either way, moving along, the restaurant is located in The Hammocks in a unappealing small shopping center. The moment you walk in to the restaurant it is completely different than what you would expect from such a small place. The food was spectacular, both my fiance and me ordered a filet mignon with mash and a shrimp appetizer. Everything was spectacular. Pricey but very worth the dollar
Review Source:This is one of the best restaurants in Miami for the quality, flavor, creativity of the food and the very friendly service... Once in a while Chef Adrienne herself graciously comes out of the kitchen to greet her guests. Â I have not had a meal here that hasn't impressed me and surprised my taste buds.
Review Source:Although it's quite pricey, especially for being in a strip mall in the middle of suburbea, the food is OUTSTANDING! Â The servers are great, always well informed and attentive. Â My biggest complaint would be that although it advertises itself as a wine bar, they have a very limited wine list. Â
The portions are generous and though I have tried many things on the menu, each time I return I always have the filet. Â It is by far the best fillet I have had bar-none!
Great atmosphere, perfect for a date or just a night out with friends. Â Never disappoints!
For months me and my husband have been trying to get to this small quaint restaurant that a friend of mine recommended and I finally did ,let me tell you it was AMAZING!!!!!!!, from the moment we entered the hostess, super duper friendly and our waiter the best, i would definitely go again. the lamb chops appetizers delicious, everything we had was so good. Adrianne you will definitely see us again. Â 5 STARS..... props to our waiter ***Joseph***
Review Source:Best meal I have EVER had!
The service was perfect. Â Everyone from the hostess to the busboys were knowledgeable and very nice.
The food was shockingly good. Â I had a certain expectation of quality especially with the higher than average prices. Â I would have paid double for what I got. Â I had the 12oz filet and my wife had the pork chops. Â Both were the best I've ever tasted.
For desert they had a Nutella and Chocolate Bread Pudding made with Croissants. Â I was uncomfortably full after dinner but it was so good I couldn't pass up trying dessert. Â WOW.
If you want an out of this world dinning experience do your self a favor and go. Â It's not cheap but it is worth EVERY penny.
Chef Adrianne's is a hidden gem located in the Hammocks. I celebrated my mother's birthday there.. It's a very small restaurant, probably seats less than 50 people. It's very romantic and intimate, with dim lights and jazz music playing.
The price for appetizers is decent. For the entree, however, it is somewhat pricey. But the food is DELICIOUS and you really do get what you pay for!!! My mother had the Osso Bucco, which was a HUGE plate, enough to share with 2 other people. It came with mashed potatoes and spinach. VERY GOOD! Well cooked!! My father had the Salmon with Brown sugar. MY FAVORITE DISH!!!!!!! It was soooooooo amazing! I am not a huge fan of salmon, but after trying this, I fell in love! The brown sugar sweetens the salmon. Underneath the salmon are potatoes with a sweet aioli sauce. AMAZING!! I wanted to lick my plate!! Highly recommend!
The only reason why I am giving this place 4 stars instead of 5 is because I made reservations, and when I arrived, tables weren't ready yet. I must have waited about 15 minutes before seating. Also, we waited about 45 minutes for our food on a non-busy night.........Other than that, the food is AMAZING and I highly recommend for anyone to go out there and try this restaurant!
Have I seriously never reviewed this place?! I just realized I haven't and I cannot believe it! I discovered it through a Yelp review 2 years ago, became obsessed, & just noticed I haven't taken the time to write my own review! Well, there is not much more that needs to be said other than this restaurant serves some of the absolutely most delicious things you will ever put in your mouth! Â Hands down best food I've ever had. Tips: both Sangrias are amazing, the Salmon is to die for, and any bread pudding you get is absolute food porn. I cannot stress How much I love this place. My biggest fear I that it blows up too much and gets too busy or :::gasp!::: moves to another location altogether (it happens to be close to my house) Anyway- I heart Chef Adrianne's!!!
Review Source:this could easily be one of the shortest reviews i write if i summon it all up with three little letters:: OMG
Service - We were greeted by one of the most kindest hostess ever. Â She advised us that unfortunately they were very busy and we needed reservations of which none were available... they did however have a small top table for "walk ins" like ourselves and we happen to be the first walk in of the evening.. so off we sat. Â it was a nice cozy little table but it would of been ok with us... Hostess walked us over, explained a little about the place and introduced us to our waitress & assistance for the meal...
Here comes Ashley - sparking bubbly well informed young lady. Â Very aware and descriptive of the specials available for the evening. Â Her description of the dishes made them all sounds mouthwatering!!! We wanted one of each!! Â She was kind and informative.
Her assistant  Joseph was a very nice young man.  He too was very knowledgeable with the menu.  He was very helpful and friendly.  Thanks to his suggestion, I have enjoyed one of the very best flavor sangria's to date.  it is a house blend made with pomegranate.  even hubby who is not a sangria drinker enjoyed his very small sip!!!
After a very brief stay at this high table we were advised that one of the booths had become available and if we wanted to, could change to it (reservation did not show up). Â We were advised that your reservation is held for 15 mins and if not there, it is canceled and made available to others. Â I was also advised that you have to state when you make reservation if you want a booth..
now to food: We started off with a delicious appetizer "Pork Wontons" Â this is a party in your mouth kinda of experience. Â Imagine a crispy lite wonton topped with delicious small bite pieces of perfectly seasoned pork all dressed up with crumbles of queso fresco drizzled with a silky guava glaze!!! The combination of crunch with salty & sweet is mouth watery...... size good enough to share, but honestly could of had one all by myself!!
dinner: Went with the Pistachio covered Mahi Mahi with butter sauce on top of mashed potatoes with leaves of spinach with a hint of truffle. Â It was a beautiful flaky white nice size portion of fish cooked to perfection. Â covered with plenty of pistacchios. Â this was awesome.
hubby went with fillet Mignon. Â this was butterflied cut and cooked with a nice crust to a med well temperature. Â also served with mashed potatoes and spinach. Â this was easily a top steak. Â gentle silky beef with delicious sauces. Â
it was amazing. Â
a delicious  ending to an amazing dinner - Creme Brulee - fluffy, creamy, airy delight topped with just the right amount of burnt sugar and a beautiful fanned strawberry that assured a piece on each bite!!!
place is romantic, great service and far away for some.. but it is worth the drive Â
make sure to get reservations thou. Â we are looking forward to our next visit.....
Last night was a memorable evening at Miami's best, Chef Adrianne's restaurant. 15 of us had a feast of creativity at its best. Dark Dining Wine Country and Chef Adrianne MEGA Rocks, its a MUST go in our list of great restsurants in Miami. Blinded by masks, we searched as the wines and the dishes started appearing in front of us, background music choice was perfect, the food, the wine pairing, the servers, the Chef  got on the mike testing our perception and explaining the creations....you have to experience this combination of maximum flavor at levels unseen before by our group. I had the pleasure of spending time and eating in Paris and in Lyon (named the gourmet capital of France). Our Chef is at that level!! DARK DINING once a month.

Thank you Chef Adrianne for an awesome dinner experience ;))
In some cases Yelp needs to add a plus sign when going over the 5 stars. This place would definitely merit that +!
Located in West Kendall you'd expect a casual setting. Who goes to Kendall for an intimate dinner?? EXACTLY!! I'm glad Chef Adrianne kept her masterpiece local and not flock to Brickell or Coral Gables like the rest of them. The place holds about 60 people so be sure to have a reservation well in advance if you're going on a weekend. Soft Jazz music playing in the background, dimmed lights, professional wait staff - This I like!!
So lets get started, shall we? This is a wine bar so what do we get? Duh! Robert Mondavi Cabernet. Can't ever go wrong with this brand. Not to mention, reasonably priced at $23/btl.
The menu is very elaborate. There are some stuff you've seen on other places, but this Chef throws her twist on every meal. So get your palet ready for some excitement.
Starters: Frito Corn
One ear of corn double cooked with what seems to be buffalo sauce, spices, crumbled goat cheese and Fritos! Absolutely delicious! Great small portion to get you ready for the main event!
Entree Osso Bucco
Their famous and one of their specialities. For those who don't know, this section is at the calf level cross-cut veal shank, cooked for MANY hours served with Mash and organic Spinach. It's a HUGE portion but you won't want to share it because it is so good! Take the leftovers home and create yourself some sliders :)
Entree 2: Â Roasted Duck w/palenta
Need I say more? Great sized entree, the palenta mixed with the savory duck makes your jaw salivate.
Dessert: Mango Bread Pudding
I don't like bread pudding. I don't like mango all that much. But when I read it's her ultimate dessert I had to try. So good we ate it all! Served on a small black cast iron pot this warm dessert is the perfect ending.
Absolutely fantastic place. Definitely a place for a special date. Can't wait to go again!
Visiting this restaurant three times before, we knew that the food here takes longer than your usual restaurant, but we drew the line when we arrived with a party of four and were told the wait would be an hour just to get a table. Here's the kicker, there were 6 empty tables and nobody else waiting for the tables. The high school aged hostess (who was sitting on a chair) told us with a bothered look on her face, "oh those tables are reserved".
We may have waited had she not treated us like we were a bother to her for coming to her restaurant without a reservation. How dare we! We have been here a few times on a Friday night and have never seen a wait for a table. This night was no different, and the hostess was so rude about it, we decided to go to Secreto on Kendall Drive.
We are sure glad it worked out that way because we discovered an amazing new restaurant here by our home. I highly reccomend Secreto for an amazing experience both for its service and its cuisine. Their wine selection is amazing as well, we had three bottles reccomended by our waiter and each one was better than the one before!
I did give Chef Adrianne a second star because the food and wait staff are superb from our past experiences, however no food is good enough to be treated like an unwelcome nuissance. We will be back to Chef Adrianne's as they deserve a second chance, and this may be an isolated employee having a bad day. I truly hope the next time we go I can increase my rating.
I've actually reviewed Chef Adrianne's before, but it's been too long, and she deserves an update:
Simply put, STILL one of the best restaurants in Miami. Â Far from the over-priced, small portioned, overly presented restaurants at SoBe, and other "in" spots, Chef Adrianne's is an oasis in the desert.
INCREDIBLY generous portions of DELICIOUS food, all expertly made. The staff is always courteous, informative, and attentive.
I highly recommend the Osso Bucco...but you may never want to eat anything else ever again.
Thank the culinary gods for Chef Adriannne!
Wow, wow, wow!
when you are sent driving west on Killian and are parking in a lot with an empty strip mall and see the sign Adrianne's Vineyard Restaurant & Wine Bar, one may start to wonder....Stepping inside quickly eliminated the location and outside strip mall feel and reminded you what a dining experience is all about.
First visit to A's was a few years ago where they were having weekly food samples from around the world. Adrianne brought spices, food fusion, culinary visuals and united them in an international burst of mouth watering flavor! I fell love with this Chef's cooking. It was truly unforgettable.
My next visit needed to include my wife who has a passion for trying new places, I knew that this place would live up to it. Well she didn't disappoint, we even went again with the In-Laws. Â Looking forward to booking dining in the DARK!
Pork wontons please! Right now! Seriously, they're great but so is everything else!
It's tough trying to type this review without sounding too cliche!...what can I say...I'm speechless. Portions are huge...yet there's nothing left on the plate because it's just so good! I highly recommend the Dark Dining events! Definitely heightens all your other senses and allows you to savor every bite! Adrianne's energy and drive is felt in all her recipes! She's done so much in 5 years than most Chef's have done in a life time. Not to mention her personal support of St. Jude's! Make it Count!
This beautiful gem is tucked away in a strip mall in deep Kendall near the Tamiami airport. It's not the sort of location you would find great cuisine, but that's exactly what you'll find. After hearing from some of my coworkers about this place, we finally decided to try it on a Sunday night.
Our evening started with the warm and crusty rolls served with pesto. A nice change from butter or olive oil. Â For my appetizer I ordered the pork wontons. These were delicious. Fried wonton topped with slow roasted pork, drizzled with a guava sauce and sprinkled with a white cheese. Iniatilly I was concerned that the guava would be too sweeet, but this dish was perfect. The flavors complemented and balanced each other wonderfully. My boyfriend had the tortilla soup, which was the soup of the day. It was creamy and flavorful.
For my entree, I chose the Harris Ranch 12 oz. black angus filet mignon with cognac dijon and au jus. Wow! The steak was enormous and perfectly cooked (medium). It had a wonderful sear and inside was juicy yummines (not sure if that's even a word). I could only eat half the steak, which was accompanied by mashed potatos and lightly sauted spinach. It was one of the better steaks I"ve had EVER.
We were so full by the evening's end that we could not order dessert. Our waiter, a recent transplant from northern California. was attentive, professional and gave us great service. We chatted with him quite a bit.
The whole experience was magnifique!
I recently celebrated my birthday at Chef Adrienne's and was so happy my best friend made the recommendation! Â
I had the Fillet Mignon with mashed potatoes and goat cheese and it was one of the best steaks I've ever had! Â That piece of deliciousmeat stared at me at about 3 inches tall! Â It was staring at me! Â Daring me to take a bite...and I did, I admit it, I did! Â I fell in love with it and now we are married and have 2 kids! Â Seriously, it was unbelievably good!! Â Plus, it was so big my bestie and I not only shared it, but had some left over...! Â It was 12 oz. but felt like I ate a whole cow, no kidding!
I also had the Snickers Sundae and that thing was a monster of deliciousness!
The service was also excellent, everyone was so attentive and I felt very special, like we were the only ones there because of how good the service was.
You have to come try this place, it's a bit of a drive and pricey but definitely worth it!
OMG, Chef Adrianne is blessed by the hand of GOD. Adrianne travels the world and has an eye for exotic yummy dishes. Of course, she adds her personal touch. Every meal is personally created by Princess Adrianne.
She has created a beautiful, elegant, yet "feel of home" dining experience. Â The menu offered succulent meat, fresh fish, super tasty fresh vegetables, excellent cocktails and drinks, and fresh warm steamy homemade dinner type rolls with homemade pesto with olive oil dipping sauce (MMMMMMMM). Â The experience was personal. The waitress (moved from San Francisco) was attentive.
The drinks: Passion Fruit Sangria was an excellent start to our meal. We celebrated a dear friends birthday. We ordered two meat dishes and two fish plates. I will write about my Mahi Mahi. The Mahi Mahi was grilled to perfection. The fish was placed on top of white rice and spinach, elegantly organized and piled like a piece of art. The 3 sauces complemented the fish. Sweet Chili sauce with a touch of Adrianne Soy Sauce and a special green sauce(don't know the name, but was so yummy.)
The desert was a freshly baked brownie with vanilla ice cream scoops and homemade thick warm gooey Ganache chocolate topping.
I WILL CONCLUDE BY SAYING THAT ALL I HEARD THROUGH THE ENTIRE MEAL, WAS "mmmmmmmmmmm, Oh my God, wow, this is real tasty, mmmmmmm." Every bite was a carnival in my mouth.
I love Chef Adrianne..........................
Ok. There it is. Three stars. It could almost be two stars but not because the quality of the food wasn't there or the menu wasn't as impressive as something I would find on the beach or in midtown. It is because this place is overly hyped, to be completely honest.
I actually feel wildly guilty even with my three stars because so many fellow Yelpers, whose reviews I follow and take into consideration are all glowing with accolades for Chef Adrianne's.
The bottom line is the food was tasty. Mind blowing? Definitely not.
However, for Kendall, this is CERTAINLY a 5 star establishment. I just don't think I would suggest to anyone not from the area to make the trek so far southwest for something you could get for the same price somewhere closer to home.
I will say that it is nice that she tries to use local and organic ingredients and that the portions are giant, but because of the insane amount of 5 star reviews I was expecting to have a mouthgasm. Unfortunately, I did not. Again, I want to reiterate that nothing was bad, but really, only one dish on our table was particularly memorable.
The cesar salad was mediocre and one of my dining companions was kind of disappointed because the menu states that it had anchovies (which it did not). While the anchovies may have been in the dressing, it was apparently not strong enough for him. I tried it and I wasn't really impressed.
He also ordered a sweet chili Mahi Mahi. It was good. Not amazing.
Another dining companion ordered the rack of lamb. It was good. And in all fairness ordered well done, which I think is part of why it was not particularly anything special.
My dish, the pork chop special, was by far the best dish out of what we ordered. The flavor was very nice and the charred crust made the meat very tasty.
The decor in this place actually reminded me of the Melting Pot (and don't get me wrong again, I think MP can be a lot of fun!) and the Michael Bolton DVD playinh in the background wasn't really what I was expecting from a cutting edge, up and coming, young chef.
I truly mean no disrespect to Adrianne Calvo, but I just want to give some perspective on this spot. I appreciate what she has done for the Hammocks bringing in a resto of this caliber and what she does through charity. I guess off of the website, i was expecting something more like the feel Sustain used to have before we lost them.
Still, if you are in the neighborhood, it's worth a shot.
Where do I begin?? Let's start with DELICIOUS...
I've had the pleasure of knowing Chef Adrianne for almost 3 years as our paths have continuously crossed at work. Then it hit me one day like a bolt of lightning... I had never actually EATEN her food!! Shocking!! So when the time came to choose a place to celebrate my birthday, I knew where to go.
Tucked inside this unassuming shopping center, the kind that if you weren't going there for something specific you would drive right by, is a truly amazing dining experience.
From the wedge salad (delicious and I don't like bleu cheese dressing), to the mozarella burrata (to die for), to the panko crusted goat cheese (again, not a fan of goat cheese)... And those were just the starters. My mouth is watering at the thought of the fried goat cheese right now... I am a goat cheese convert because of those little spheres of yummy.
For entrees, our table chose from filet mignon, mahi mahi with truffle butter sauce and a 20 ounce pork tenderloin... yes, 20 OUNCE!! But well worth it for the shear deliciousness of it all. Adrianne's attention to detail is flawless... right down to the "A" that adorns each plate. Elegant perfection.
Next came a delicious trio of desserts... creme brulee, tiramisu AND a Strawberry Belgian Waffle Bread Pudding that was so beyond good I can't even begin to formulate the right words that would give it justice.
The service was impeccable and everyone there makes you feel like a part of a family. The kind of family that you want to come back to again and again.
All in all, Chef Adrianne's restaurant is a true gem... just like the chef herself.
Brava!
I went to this restaurant for dinner only because I trust my fellow YELP reviewers, but his time I can say that I have to be more careful next time. I booked this restaurant because I wanted to have a different experience outside mid-downtown and SOBE.
I made a reservation but when I arrived they acted as they were full, but actually there were only 3 tables with costumers. As a summary, the place is next to a car repair shop, really expensive and the food was not good.
I do not like to give bad reviews, but sometime you have to do it. The ambience, a 90's restaurant with tv screens with a Michael Bolton concert (??). I should have left the place at this time, but I was waiting to be delighted by amazing food, I was mistaken. Â The food was really salty and full of condiments and butter (you could not feel the real taste of the food). We ordered two appetizers. The Cesar salad was not special and missing the anchovies described on the menu, Â the crap cakes were the only thing that came out ok. We ordered pasta and a mahi with truffles but we could not taste them because of the amount of salt, garlic and paprika that the fish and the pasta had. The service was ok but nothing different than your everyday restaurant.
I feel like this review should be written in the form of a love letter...as I can finally say I have tried the best restaurant in Kendall. Â It's also probably among the top in all of Miami.
For many, many months I've been hearing about this place...everyone raving about it, telling me incredible things, etc. But it wasn't until The Yelp Jet Set Fete, where I got to try a little taste of this wonderful restaurant, that I got the final push I needed to actually make it there.
First off, it's kind of strange to see such a beautiful little establishment out in my neck of the woods (or as some of my friends call it, East Naples). When you walk in, you immediately feel cozy and welcome. I've never been to Napa but I can definitely feel a hint of it in here. Â The gorgeous little bar and wine barrels on the wall caught my eye before anything else did. Â
The service here was beyond attentive. Â Our waiter was excited to tell us about the menu, the drinks, etc. He kept our glasses full and our meal running smoothly from one course to the next. Â
Our food was, as I mentioned before, some of the best stuff I've eaten in Miami. Â Even the bread and pesto were a notch above the rest. Â Our entrees, the Wild Alaskan Salmon and the Free Range Chicken Breast, were beautifully presented and tasted like heaven. I thought to myself "THIS is what chicken should taste like. ALWAYS." Â So fresh and flavorful. Â The highlight of our experience, though, was our "appetizer" (which I put in quotations because this could easily have been my meal, I was already full by the time we'd finish our starter). Â Sweet Corn Tamalito topped with perfectly grilled shrimp. I dare you to find a better tasting shrimp than this one, I don't think it can be done! The dish reminded me of one of my favorite childhood foods, the venezuelan cachapa- but new and improved with some more life added to it!
Chef Adrianne, you are damn good at what you do. Â Don't. Ever. Stop.
I have more to say about Chef Adrianne since my visit to the restaurant this past Saturday, and having just had left overs tonight. I swear I'm not the official spokesperson, although it may seem that way. I do pride myself on being the Duchess of the restaurant though. :)
I've come to the realization that Chef Adrianne is a true artist. When I think of an ordinary artist, I think of a painter who knows how to visually stimulate and excite. Chef Adrianne is the epitome of a real artist. Her cooking artistry is a fascinating talent that not very many chefs have. Her food excites and stimulates all of the major SENSES of a human-being.
Taste: The flavors of her dishes excite every taste bud. There is a perfect balance between sweet and salty flavor packed into every bite. Whether you're eating the 5 Diamond Harris Ranch Filet Mignon (my absolute favorite dish on the menu), or her famous mashed potatoes with au jus sauce, or her sweet & spicy Shrimp, or her daily changing home-made soups, or her homemade Cesar salad, or the most chocolately dessert ever made (brownie, ice cream, chocolate fudge, and more), your taste buds will be leaving happy.
Smell: Every dish that leaves her artist studio (the kitchen) has a unique smell that would make your mouth salivate, even before tasting the dish. There is nothing better than being able to smell the rich ingredients of the meal as it's being delivered to the table.
Sight: This is as equally important. A meal that is presented with class and color can definitely make a difference on one's perception of their meal. Every dish is always garnished with a colorful spice, au jus sauce, or even a large letter "A" (for Adrianne of course) drawn on the plate from balsamic reduction sauce. Yum.
Hearing: Although food doesn't have sound, the restaurant does. I have never seen any other restaurant other than Chef Adrianne's that plays live concert music videos on TVs in the restaurant. Artists like Celine Dion, Beyonce, Taylor Swift, Andrea Bochelli, Michael Bubble, and more, are played to soothly entertain guests as they converse with each other and wait for their meals. I've always found these live concert music videos to be very entertaining.
Touch: I've never been to a "Dark Dinning" night, but I plan to this month. Â From what I've heard, most dishes are small and appropriate enough to eat with your hands (I'm sure for safety reasons as well, since you're blindfolded). Without being able to see your food, only smell, taste, and touch, the feeling of food can really make a difference in what your taste buds may THINK they are about to eat. Don't you love licking your fingers after you've eaten a delicious finger-food type of meal?
Adrianne, my hats off to you for being a Artist that can stimulate each of the main senses and being darn good at it. You have an amazing talent. I look forward to visiting your restaurant often and always appreciate your hospitality. Congratulations on being so successful at such a young age. I admire your courage and success as an artist and business woman. Do you have any plans to expand and open more restaurants? If not, that's okay, continue being GREAT at what you do. I look forward to continue being your biggest Yelper fan and Duchess of your restaurant.
How do I love thee?
Let me count the ways...
I would like to formally start a petition to get a Broward location going. Yes, really. I loved it here but how often can I drive down to the end of the world from Plantation to eat here only to drive that hour back home? With 2 kids and gas prices, not going to -unfortunately- happen often and it's not because I don't want to.
Hidden behind some trees and standing next to a GOODYEAR Â this amazing gem. The second you walk in you are transported to somewhere other than Kendall. And that's a good thing. It was dark and cozy with an Adele concert video softly playing in the background. Dark woods and copper accents seal this decor as an instant mood converter.
We got to sit on one of the tall booths which was perfect. Our waitress came over immediately and decanted our wine for us right away. Can't go wrong with a $15.00 corkage fee. We usually just bring out own wine anyway but would like to note that I was surprised at the limited wine list. All good wines listed but not a lot of selection. Hot bread flowed unto our table with a pesto sauce and butter. We had a good thing going right off the bat!
We chose to start with the butternut squash soup which had the absolute best texture, the thick and delish Maine Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes with an aioli sauce and the fried goat cheese with fig jam and prosciutto. We could have probably stopped at that point. But who are we kidding? we continued!
For entrees:
Wild Alaskan salmon which has a brown sugar crust.
12oz filet mignon
New Zealand rack of lamb
All exceptional!
To end it on a sweet note we had the mango bread pudding which is just absolutely ridiculous. It had mango chunks on top and a dulce de leche drizzle. Yes, I am serious. You know I am a happy girl when dessert is good! We also had the brownie which is HUGE! It comes with ice cream she makes as well. Very good. The crane was outside ready to lift us out of there.
Skipped the coffee this time because we were enjoying a second bottle of wine instead.
Service was exceptional throughout the night. Our waitress took our order without writing anything down and got it all right. Other places should learn how to do that.
All in all it was a wonderful experience and one I hope to repeat the next time I am down in nowhere land.
Now about that Broward petition...any other takers?
My wife works as a nurse so we often need to plan our special occasion dinners out so they fall on days she has off. So, this year, instead of doing valentine's dinner on the 14th, we went on the 16th. We called ahead and made reservations for 8:30 as we had a tax appointment at 6.
We arrive at the restaurant early as our taxes got done quickly. We got there about 7:45. We did expect to have to wait a little for our table as we arrived early. But, when we walked in there were a few empty tables. the hostess told us we would have to wait. OK, I figured those tables were reserved for 8. So we went to the bar, ordered a couple of drinks and ate some bread.
About 20 minutes later, about 8:10, we noticed the same tables still unoccupied so we asked if they perhaps had become available. The hostess says:
"Oh no, those aren't reserved. I am waiting for that booth to open up for you"
So I ask if there was a reason we couldn't be seated at one of the empty tables and she immediately seats us. Why did we have to wait 30 minutes because our hostess assumed we would only want to sit in a booth??
OK, we're seated now so we order. My wife really isn't into pork or salmon which makes up a fair chunk of the menu so she orders the mahi mahi.
"Oh, sorry, we are out of Mahi Mahi tonight" says our waitress. Â Needless to say, that irritated my wife to no end. So, we both decide to go ahead and order the $58 top shelf steaks and a crab cake appetizer.
The crab cake arrives about 10 minutes later cold. The middle and the outside, just cold. We inform the waitress or sends it back to be "remade" 10 minutes later or so we get a new crab cake which was properly cooked. It was decent but not excellent.
So now it's been around 20 minutes or so and we just finished our appetizer and the waitress comes back.
"Sorry, we are all out of steaks..."
At that point, we decided to cut our losses, pay for our apps and drinks and leave. A couple minutes later, our waitress returns informing us she was mistaken and there is in fact 1 steak left. To their credit, for the inconvenience, they offer to split the steak and not charge us for it. I do give them points for customer service.
About 10 mins later our split steak arrives (served on 2 plates). I take a bite and almost gag. That was the saltiest steak I have ever eaten. If I was actually paying $58 for this steak I would have sent it back and left to find a better place to eat. As it was "complimentary" and i was starving, I did eat some of it as did my wife.
In summary, mediocre table service, horrible inventory control, and below par food.
Was it an off night? Who knows. But for those prices, I expect close to perfection in my food and my service. Neither got close...
All I have to say is "Wow" I loved the whole experience! It starts with moment you walk in great inviting decor,Super fast friendly hostess, perfect comfortable seating and the table display was beautiful white aromatic rose, amazing silverware and beautiful table cloths and napkins...
As for the food everything looked mouth watering on the menu. Â On this night we came for the "Harris Ranch Five Diamond Reserve 12 oz Fillet Mignon/
Center Cut" Â It was simply AMAZING!!!! Â I recommend this place to everybody, Chef Adrianne never disappoints.
An amazing restaurant tucked deep in the Everglades! (or what used to be Everglades, anyway.)
My husband and I went on a random Friday night just to get out and have a date night. Â Based on reviews from other Yelpers I decided we should give Adrianne's a try. Â Thank you Yelpers! Â Because of your recommendations, I found a restaurant I never would have noticed and had a fantastic meal. Â Here's what we had:
Appetizers:
Sweet and spicy shrimp.  About 10 large shrimp served  beautifully in a sweet and spicy coconut curry sauce.  No frills on this plate, just great shrimp.  And no, it's not really spicy.  Just yummy delicious. Â
Crab cakes. Â Huge amounts of lump crabmeat in two very generous crab cakes. Â They are served drizzled with a mayo-based sauce and with a lovely baby greens salad dressed in a balsamic vinaigrette. Â The crab cakes are crispy on the outside and tender and delicious on the inside.
Entrees:
Slow-braised short ribs on mashed potatoes and baby spinach. Â Delicious! Â Great presentation and four HUGE short ribs along with piles of mashed were delivered to my side of the table. Â I only ate one (having read Alex H's review and knowing that I wanted to save room for dessert) and the kitchen packed up the rest for me to take home. Â The sauce on the ribs was perfect. Â Not sweet, but savory and thick and the way it oozed into the mashed potatoes to make them special and even more delicious was awesome.
Maple Brown Sugar crusted salmon. Â Perfectly cooked salmon! Â So hard to get just right and Adrianne got it. Â I had only one bite of my husband's, though I would have had more, except he wasn't sharing so fast! Â
Wines:
A note about the wines before I get to dessert and coffee. Â For all that Adrianne's says it's a "Vineyard and Wine Bar" I didn't see as extensive a wine list as I would have expected. Â That being said, the wines they have are good wines, the prices are very fair ($6.00 for a glass of Cupcake) and they are PERFECTLY decanted! Â My wine arrived having been already allowed to open up, so it's nose and flavor were at their peak performance. Â I wholly appreciate that effort alone.
Dessert:
Marscapone cheesecake. Â Did you know that cheesecake doesn't have to be super dense or super sweet? Â It can be light, airy and perfect instead? Â Adrianne does just that. If you never liked cheesecake, this one will change your mind. Â If you always liked cheesecake, you will have a new favorite and will forever scoff those bricks they serve you elsewhere.
Mango Passionfruit Bread Pudding with Dulce de Leche Rum sauce: Â ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME?!?! Â This was an amazing dessert. Â Served warm, the bread pudding is moist and savory and not too fruity. Â And the sauce is light and sweet and not too cloying. Â And it's served with fresh strawberries in the bottom of the glass and fresh chopped mangos on the top. Â And it's perfect.
Coffee: Â A note about coffee because I always appreciate a nice touch. Â I ordered an American coffee to go with my dessert and asked for milk as well. The milk arrived steamed and hot. Â I loved that! Â Because when I poured in the milk, I got froth on top of my coffee. Â Delicious!
I also want to point out that the staff was gracious and kind without being "over the top." Â
Overall, this was a knockout performance from an unknown in West Kendall. Â I'm thrilled to have found Chef Adrianne's and I expect to be back!
This restaurant is located in a small shopping center in West Kendall. Â The place is small, but cozy. Â A little expensive, but the food is Superb, Excellent, Fine, Extremely
Good,Rich, Magnificent, of High Quality and Delicious!!!  The money spent  was all worth it. I had the Wild Alaskan Salmon in a Brown Sugar Crust with garlic and a Sweet Chilli Aioli sauce.
The staff was Great and Friendly.
Definitely, I will return!!!
I wish I could put more than 5 stars!
I have been putting off this review for a while now but I finally decided to write something because I just simply LOVE this place! We found this restaurant almost by mistake 3 years ago when we could not find a place to host our annual holiday party. Every place we called could not fulfill our reservation of 13 people because it was short notice and a busy time of the year for them (end of December). We found Chef Adrianne's and they were able to pull it off with only 2 days advance notice. When we showed up they were packed but our table was ready and we sat down within minutes of ordering our first round of drinks at the small bar. Everyone at the table was shocked and amazed at the quality AND quantity of the food that came out, we wish we would have known the steaks would come out that big.
Regardless of the large portion sizes, everything tasted so good I returned to that restaurant several times within the past 3 years for various dinners and I have never been let down! This is truly a gem in the Kendall area and I always talk about it amongst friends and family. I hope you make the effort to take a trip to West Kendall to experience this amazing food! My uncle is a professional chef that owns a very high end restaurant in Paris and he gave this place 2 thumbs up so you can't go wrong with that!
Blindfolds on, taste buds alert, hands to yourself! To celebrate the Chinese New Year, Chef Adrianne put on a special "Dining in the Dark" event at her restaurant located in no-where's land, Kendall.
I have to say I was quite hesitant and more than a bit nervous seeing as that my pallet is not one I would qualify as sophisticated and my pickiness extends to seafood, which I don't touch and red meat, which I only eat in very minuscule amounts. But, I decided to be adventurous and just close my eyes and chew.
The restaurant itself was decked out for the theme of the evening. Chinese lanterns hung from the ceiling and other festive decorations adorned the walls. The tables were set with Chinese boxes which held a hidden treasure of Chinese mints/candy and fortune cookies. And of course, every place setting held a sexy blindfold. I was thrilled that we were going to be blindfolded opposed to eating in the pitch black, just in case I wanted to cheat.
Upon arrival, my friends and I were seated promptly (this event was by reservation only) and Bruce, our awesome waiter, greeted us. He asked if anyone had allergies or special dietary needs. One of my friends does not eat pork, and I requested no seafood. I was delighted that they took this extra step, I was able to breathe a little easier that I would not have to be concerned with biting into a mouth full of sea creature. Bruce recommended to us the drink of the night which was a champagne mojito infused with ginger. Sign me up. It was served in a fluted glass and was bubbly-delicious and refreshing.
Then the dinner commenced. We were instructed to put our blindfolds and from here,  the dished came out one by one. The wait staff was great, letting you know they were placing food in front of you so to be careful not to spill. After eating each course, Chef Adrianne with a  microphone in hand, came out and asked the restaurant (which is small enough to be interactive) what we thought we ate. People shouted out the answer and it made for many laughs and fun. Chef Adrianne would then tell us what in fact we just ate and give a little story or anecdote.
Every course was delicious! Each one better than the next. I was doubly delighted that when a course came out that had seafood, I got an alternative dish opposed to nothing at all. Same for my friend who doesn't eat pork. I thought that was going the extra mile. And there were so many courses I lost track. We were even served champagne and ginger infused beer that was sooo good. I mean, probably one of the best beers I've had to date. I know that Asian cuisine is not the norm for this restaurant, which is really too bad because she did it so well. It was all amazing. The dessert was fried cheesecake with a scoop of ice cream. OH MY GOD. I've never had fried cheesecake before, never even new such a heavenly item existed. I literally had a dream about that cheesecake that night.
One of my friends fell for one of the noodle dishes and asked Bruce if she could order some to go; obviously expecting to pay extra. However, when he brought her the takeout order, he informed us that Chef Adrianne offered it on the house. SO SWEET OF HER! Once the meal closed out, she also made her way around to the tables, asking how we enjoyed the experience.
Such a fun night and delicious food to boot. I hope she offers more dining in the dark events in the future, for I would without question return.
This is such a treasure, tucked away in an out-of-the-way tiny strip mall. My husband and I were running errands this past Sunday when we decided it was time for an adult beverage. I hopped on Yelp and Chef Adrianne's popped up on the list. Since we were close and hadn't tried it yet we stopped by. We are so glad we did.
The ambiance is pure Napa. The beautiful bar with copper tiles, barrel ends along one way, and dark wood color scheme just screams wine country. We sat at the bar and enjoyed a glass of wine and split a goat cheese appetizer. The goat cheese was absolutely amazing. Our server was friendly and professional.
We didn't have entrees or dessert, but this is definitely a place we'll be coming back to for our special occasions.
