I stopped here for lunch with the family while on a short trip to OKC. The place is definitely a local pub vibe and the menu is expansive with page after page of food from several different ethnic styles. Since I was a bit overwhelmed with the menu I went to one of my old stand-bys when I stop at places like this and ordered the chicken fried steak. My kids had a corn dog and a quesadilla and my wife decided to have a baked potato.
First, when they brought my son's quesadilla they brought it with chicken when he just wanted a plain cheese one. My younger son's corn dog was what you would expect so not much to say there. My entree came with a salad so I ordered a caesar. it came out with the dressing slopped on top of a bed of shredded lettuce and was rather off-putting. The crust on my steak was bland and flavorless and the accompanying gravy did little to remedy that. The order of baked potato my wife had came out with two potatoes and it also looked pretty sad.
The service was fine aside from messing up on the quesadilla.
I often find when I come to a place with a huge menu like this place with something like a hundred different things you can order, they have sacrificed quality and flavor for variety. Usually when you see a menu with a limited number of choices I have found that the food is better and more carefully crafted.
While the food at this place will fill your belly, I wouldn't go out of my way to go back if I am ever in the neighborhood again.
I've walked by this place a few times and finally went in. It was busy, a lot of patrons sitting down.
I finally decided to try the place for a take-out order. I ordered one of their paninis which smelled and tasted great, but it was dripping in oil which was gross. I used a good handful of napkins to press out the oil.
Maybe next time I will sit in and dine, and choose something else.
