Its not easy finding decent let alone good Chinese in South Denver.
Well this place is pretty average. The people are really nice inside and the delivery is always quick, food hot and drivers nice. The inside is pretty good too actually, its fairly sleek for a storefront type joint.
Food is average. Its too Americanized for my taste altho not as bad as alot of places can be. I dont taste any 70 year old family recipes at work.
Ive had several Chicken dishes and the Beef Lo-mein. Again, very average all around, tastes pretty good, portion size is average, but youre not going to be wowed by any single asepct. Price is OK, about average.
Overall yes I recommend this place for Parkerites but dont expect much more than acceptably average.
Everyone needs a good Chinese take-out place. This is the place we love. It's so fast and we really like the food. When I call and place my order it's never more than 15 minutes until I can pick it up. I really like the pork fried rice and sweet and sour chicken. We tend to eat here once or twice a month. Just a great place.
Review Source:Finding good Chinese in Colorado seems to by a mighty feat. Â I yelped this place and decided to try it with my mother because it had some pretty solid reviews. Â I have to say I agree with most reviewers, this place is pretty damn good! Â The wait staff is quick, efficient and attentive. Â The lunch deals are a great deal at around $7.50 for the entree, an eggroll, soup and a wanton. Â My mother had the Hurricane Chicken and I had the Vietnamese rice noodle bowl with pork. Â
The eggrolls were suppper tasty.  The quality of the eggroll at a Chinese place is usually a pretty good indication of how good the food is.  They were crispy, large, fresh and delicious  The Hurricane Chicken was really yummy, not gloppy, with the right amount of spice.  My Vietnamese bowl was also really good.  The pork was well seasoned and had good flavor and I enjoyed the crunchy freshness of the cucumber and lettuce.  The bowl was also HUGE.
The reason why it didn't receive 5 stars are 2 reasons: the hot and sour soup and the broth that came with my bowl. Â The soup kind of had a funky undertone to it and wasn't very hot, just lukewarm. Â The broth that came with my bowl was cold and waaay too salty. Â Other than those two gripes everything was pretty great. Â We'd come back!
I love chinese food all hard, and this may have just been a one time thing. I seriously don't like writing bad reviews for a restaraunt. But, sadly when I ate here the first time it was totally terrible. The service was great, really clean place, fast order, short wait and the waitress (yes I'm using that term, it makes more sense always) kept my glass filled the whole time.
The food was just sub par, I got combo Lo Mein, which I'm a huge fan of and typically get wherever I go. Cherry Village let me down pretty hard, it was really gloopy and the meat was fatty, mostly chicken, probably like two shrimp in the whole entree. I seriously couldn't finish it and took it home and had it for left overs and it made me feel like I ate a bag of flour. Like too full, too fast off of not that much food. I'd say I'd come back and try it again, but that won't happen.
But on a lighter note, my beer was ice cold. That's always a bonus.
As others have stated, they have quite possibly the best beef at any Chinese restaurant that I have ever eaten at. Â We eat here at least once a week and have ordered a variety of things on the menu and have yet to be disappointed. If you are in Parker and need Chinese food, this is the place to go.
Review Source:I love this place. Â One of the best Chinese places I've found since I've been out here. Â The General Tso's is to die for - fresh, not too much batter and not fatty. Â Fried rice is equally good. Â The lunch special is a great deal and I love that they give you some plum wine chaser for free after you meal! Â Good stuff.
Review Source:This was really good.
Spicy when it was supposed to be.
Hot when it was supposed to be.
Cold when it was supposed to be.
Chopsticks when they was supposed to be.
Service so fast I thought they had ESP.
Price was affordable.
Close to home...even better.
I will be back...................
Great service but their food is what is outstanding. Â Any dish that has shrimp in it, you can expect shrimp the size of a baby's fist. Â Clean and nice atmosphere. Â A bit spendy, but the food quality and quantity makes it worth every dime you spent. Â By far the best Chinese food in Parker. Â Never a wait to get a table and they do deliver. Â Worth it.
Review Source:Chinese food in Parker? Â Most definitely!
Getting together with a friend and we both wanted a place we had never been to and he had heard great things about Cherry Village. Â This place is buried in a strip mall and looks unassuming. Â
The menu is typical Chinese food with some Vietnamese offerings as well. Â We decided to split the Family dinner I think for two. Â We each got a soup, shared the appetizer platter and an entree a piece. Â Wonton soup was solid. Â Appetizer platter included, egg roll, pork spare ribs, chicken wings, beef skewers, crab cheese wontons, and fried shrimp. Â All delicious and the perfect start to our meal. Â We shared the Mongolian Beef and Chicken Basil for our entrees, both spicy, not super duper spicy. Â All our food was better than average, $1 or $2 over the norm, but you get quality for those extra bucks. Â
This place does an amazing take out business, the line of people pouring while we enjoyed dinner was impressive. Â I would definitely come back and enjoy some other dishes.
This place is awesome! Yes...after one visit...Awesome! I was explaining to my son how much I liked this place, him being the lucky recipient of the leftovers and all. I told him it is the first Chinese place locally where the beef in the beef entree was tender and not chewy and where I didn't once think of cat while eating the chicken entree. The service is attentive, but not overwhelmingly, and friendly. The meals are reasonably priced and they end your meal with a fortune cookie and a shot of plum wine with a cherry on top! Deeeeeee-lish!
Review Source:This place is great, they're open later than anyone else, better and friendlier. I always get the chicken and have never had a bad experience in the 6 or so years I've been here, they work with you on prices and hook it up! They're delivery is incredibly fast and it's also nice to go in and dine, good atmosphere. I will most likely never stop eating here. BEST CHINESE FOOD EVER!!
Review Source:We are definitely regulars here and they treat us that way. =] Â One of the best Chinese restaurants in Parker, let alone Colorado. Great service with a smile. Nice ambience! Not to casual or formal. Great lunch specials before 3pm! Fast hot delivery! They offer a drink while you wait if you're picking up food To-go. Egg Rolls...YUM!!
The shot of Plum wine goes down nicely after a great meal!
While living in Parker I have come to enjoy only a very few things. This being one of them and probablly the only reason I will ever enter back into Parker. I love thier Sesame tofu. The tofu is cooked crispy and the seseame seasoning is tasty. They have a great seating area but are also quick on the take out.
Some of the best chinese in Parker.
We usually get the veggie fried rice, and it is mostly good. Â However, we have gotten some "creative" billing a few times (where the items did not add up to as much as we were charged). Â Seems that if you ask for anything different (no egg, or sauce on the side), you get some type of variable charge? Â Â And sometimes, the veggies are a little overcooked. Â Â The spouse likes it more than I do.....
Review Source:When I was in college I got some take out from my local college Chinese take out place for my boyfriend and I. It wasn't good but for some reason it left an impressively bad impression on my boyfriend that resulted in almost 7 years of him refusing to eat Chinese food. Then came Cherry Village. I tried this place out the first time with another friend and we were both fairly impressed. To me most Chinese food places taste the same, there are some that are better and some that are worse but for the most part I rate them all fairly similarly. Cherry village is one where the food is better than most but still pretty typical.
So with some conning I got the boyfriend to try Cherry Village and I can happily say we now can eat Chinese food again together....well as long as it is Cherry Village. He REALLY likes it and that is saying a lot. Yay! They do a few things that I think set them apart from the rest.
1.) If you are dining in you get a little shot glass of cherry wine. Yes you can bribe me with wine, thanks for asking.
2.) They pack that to go container FULL. You have to eat for a while just to get it to where another place would fill it up to. An entree and some soup is a solid 2 dinners and maybe a lunch or two.
3.) They bring the food to my door pretty fast. I live really close but boy do I like not going out in public when I don't have to.
I have only had delivery so i can't comment about anything other than the food and the delivery speed.
I always get the beef hurricane and the steamed dumplings. Â They are amazing...so amazing that i have never tried anything else.
Delivery time has always been quick to stroh ranch area, about 20-30 mins.
If I could eat here everyday I would and my wife could attest to this. The staff is always friendly! The food is perfect! I have not had one bad thing to eat at this place. I love the fried rice and the seasame chicken it is cooked to perfection!
Oh and if you live in the area, the delivery service is fast!
Tried Cherry Village for the first time last week. My overall rating: good.
According to the staff the Sesame chicken is a popular dish, so I tried that. Tasty, but a bit heavy on the breading, and deep fried. The hot and sour soup was good, with lots of tofu. Vietnamese rolls were good, though they are also deep fried. Nice interior, friendly staff.
If you haven't tried the Drunken Noodles, you should. Â
Delivery was okay - I'd complain a little more other than the fact that my husband picked up the order on his way home. He's cute but it was a little on the slow side. Â :)
Everything we order from here is consistently good. Â When we first ordered from them I thought that the prices were a little high as they were a dollar or two more than the other places in Parker. Â But it is well worth the cost and they give you tons of food.
When I opened the container of Drunken Noodles there were large and plentiful amounts of sliced jalapeno peppers and I thought "OH MY GOD" This is going to be HOT HOT HOT. Â It really wasn't. Â It had a wonderful balance and great flavor. Â I kept eating and eating and eating and after 20 minutes of eating I still had 1/2 of container of food left. Â More than enough for lunch the next day. Â The best $10 I've spent in a long time.
I really like this restaurant. Delivery food is always hot and tastes fresh. After my first two orders arrived in half of the time that they quoted me (always 30-45 minutes), I started timing them for fun. Their best so far was 11 minutes. Do they have woks in their cars?
The food is very tasty. Most dishes come with lots of sauce. An entree has around 4 servings. I took a chance ordering a shrimp item instead of the usual chicken. Now it's my favorite. They use large pieces instead of the tiny frozen ones that tend to come from restaurants of this kind. They packed that little box full of them too!
I have eaten inside the restaurant once. The service was quick and the dining area was clean. When stopping in to pick up takeout orders they always offer a free drink while I wait.
Pro: Good portion and they state on their menu that they use high quality
ingredients. The atmosphere is nice and they offer tasty brown rice no extra charge. They have Chinese, Thai, and Vietnamese.
Con: Don't expect authentic because this is Parker.
If you want real Chinese food, go to "China Jade" in Aurora.
Great Chinese deep in the suburbs.
Hard to find in a suburb - in S. CO, yes.
Hard to find in general - in Parker, yes.
Worth trying - yes!
I can't eat it all the time as Chinese food gets old fast. But it is a great little place when craving Chinese. Buried in a strip mall off Lincoln, its easy to pass up.
Pluses are the consistency, speed, and the fact that orange chicken is never stale! I hate stale orange chicken (you know the chewy, hard chunks of chicken smothered in orange sauce). It's hard not to find stale orange chicken, even in the best of the best.
At times the Mongolian beef is a little on the salty side (but always good) and the orange chicken can be very sweet (lots of sauce) - whats new. The pineapple fried rice is a favorite and the Thai curry is pretty good (for a Chinese place). The wanton soup and hot and sour soup are good and the mango chicken is decent (like orange chicken). The lo mien hits the spot if your craving it but I have had better. Overall it is a great little restaurant. Worth all 5 stars if your a local (not including the city spots as food usually gets better as the population count goes up).
Give it a shot - it does hit the spot!
I actually pushed my rating to a 5 star because I found myself missing it when I Â moved out of CO. Now that I'm back, I realize it is a staple in my favorites list.
As the economy has gotten worse, we've noticed several Parker area Chinese restaurants keeping the same prices, but providing lower quality food. For a while, Cherry Village Asian Grill was still providing good food and so it became our favorite Chinese restaurant. We were very sad that the last time we ordered delivery from there, the quality of the food had gone down significantly.
Their eggrolls are still great, but their entrees now have such fatty, low quality beef and chicken that we ended up throwing our last meal order away completely! The hot and sour soup was good, the eggrolls were very good and the crab cheese wontons were ok. But we had ordered several entrees as well and the meat was so low quality and consisted of so much fat and so little meat that it was unpalatable. We had ordered a large amount, hoping to have several days' worth of leftovers, but we just threw them all away. A waste of money. It was disappointing. We won't be ordering from there again anytime soon.
The only good thing I can say about the last few experiences is that the delivery is always fast.
Fifteen years in Parker so we've seen them all come and go -- and change or get worse. Cherry Village has been our favorite takeout for quite a few years now. Â We've never had bad food or bad service. Always hot, always tasty, always cheerful. The Thai Basil is not Tuk-Tuk good, but pretty great for a Chinese restaurant. The pot-stickers are always good.
Only one mixed up order in all that time and that was probably my better half's fault. We usually just do pick up and the staff is always friendly and efficient.
The restaurant interior is pretty neat, always clean and cozy. The owner gal is super friendly and attentive and makes sure her staff provides good service. However, the food is mediocre. I've eaten there couple of times and the food taste was average, nothing spectacular. The last time, ordered Sesame Shrimp and Shrimp Lo Mein for delivery. Maybe they knew I couldn't send it back to the kitchen, but the food was awful in taste and presentation. I had only 5 pieces of Battered Shrimp floating on top of box-full of sesame sauce. Seriously? I thought it was some sort of sesame shrimp soup. And don't be fooled by their Lo Meins. They do not use real Chinese Lo Mein Noodles. To cut costs, many Chinese restaurants began using cheap Spaghetti noodles, stir fried in sauce. Unfortunately, Cherry Village is one of them. My Chinese style spaghetti noodles were also burnt on top of it... :(
Review Source:We love the food! Â Always great, quick service. Delivery or take out or eating there.
It's in the King Soopers shopping center.
Lunch menu (cheaper prices) between 10:30am and 3pm.
Dialing 411 did not help us find their number when we wanted to call and pick it up one day while we were out. So put this number in your phone or purse!
We love Cherry Village. My kids especially love eating at the restaurant because they serve a small shot glass of sprite (rice wine for the grown-ups) with a cherry in it, after the meal! We have enjoyed our meals here and the service has been great whether it is for take-out, eat-in or delivery.
Review Source:Great delivery. Never an extremely long wait. I've liked everything I've tried. If you happen to eat in, you get a shot of plum wine to end your meal. Decor in the place is reminiscent of the 80's. Good for families, not very romantic. Seems a little more expensive then the usual, but not over priced incredibly. I'm sold.
Review Source:me and my bf order delivery from here at least once a month. Â in saying that, i've had better asian fare, but this stuff is really good. Â we always start with the thai spiced soup. Â it is so good...and spicy. Â then we usually share an order of crab cheese wontons, and the vietnamese egg rolls...so so goooood.
after scarfing down all of the above, i'm usually stuffed. Â but i power on thru my entree like a real trooper.
i usually order the sesame beef. Â it's pretty damn good. Â
order all of the items listed above, and you'll make for a great evening. Â
i can't comment on the parking, seating arrangements, or even what the place looks like, as we've only ordered delivery. Â the delivery guy is always the same. Â he's nice.
just a side note...don't order the pho for delivery. Â it was really good, but alot of assembly work. Â i might as well have cooked it myself with all the work i had to do.
Just had to add a quick update.
Ordering from the folks at Cherry Village is always a treat, but when we decided to order from them on Christmas Eve we were not at all put off by the 60 minute delivery time quoted over the phone.
Main reason for the update here is that our order arrived in 15 minutes.
I love these guys!!!
This is bar none the best chinese restaurant that I have found in the denver metro area. The food and service are impeccable. The variety at this restaurant is great. They have classics like orange, lemon, and sesame chicken as well as other incredible unique dishes such as their walnut prawns. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for incredible and fresh chinese food.
