The Rock, Wood Fired Pizza & Spirits

An out-of-town friend was visiting and requested something local, so we decided to try The Rock.  I'll keep it simple:

Pros:
- Skillet shrooms are tasty
- pizza dough

Cons:
- service: we were seated and waited 15 minutes until a waitress holding dirty plates asked us if we had ordered.  After we said no, she handed off the plates to another waitress and said, "I will be your server." WTF?!  We waited quite some time for our food despite our server's claims that it would be ready any minute

Overall the food is decent, albeit pricey.  The unacceptable service ensures I won't be back any time soon.

wow this place was dead for being dinner time.  I think Brick House Tavern and Salt Grass (Ewww on salt grass) were the big hits on this restaurant strip.  I went in one evening only after not being able to get into Brick-house...i was glad to come into The Rock.  The service was quick and very friendly and the pizza was fantastic.  The beer was cold and lots to choose from!  Will definitely go back and would recommend this place to anyone!  The only reason they didn't get five stars is because the side salad was a little to...well...normal.

Great decor, great music. High expectations for a great meal, terribly disappointed! For a "wood fired pizza restaurant " the pizza was terrible! Had a Hawaiian pizza no flavor, hardly any Canadian bacon and a few pieces of pineapple. Overpriced for all 4 entres  ( over $100.00). The waitress couldn't even recommend an entre when asked.Will not go back or recommend your restaurant to anyone.
