An out-of-town friend was visiting and requested something local, so we decided to try The Rock. Â I'll keep it simple:
Pros:
- Skillet shrooms are tasty
- pizza dough
Cons:
- service: we were seated and waited 15 minutes until a waitress holding dirty plates asked us if we had ordered. Â After we said no, she handed off the plates to another waitress and said, "I will be your server." WTF?! Â We waited quite some time for our food despite our server's claims that it would be ready any minute
Overall the food is decent, albeit pricey. Â The unacceptable service ensures I won't be back any time soon.
wow this place was dead for being dinner time. Â I think Brick House Tavern and Salt Grass (Ewww on salt grass) were the big hits on this restaurant strip. Â I went in one evening only after not being able to get into Brick-house...i was glad to come into The Rock. Â The service was quick and very friendly and the pizza was fantastic. Â The beer was cold and lots to choose from! Â Will definitely go back and would recommend this place to anyone! Â The only reason they didn't get five stars is because the side salad was a little to...well...normal.
Review Source:Great decor, great music. High expectations for a great meal, terribly disappointed! For a "wood fired pizza restaurant " the pizza was terrible! Had a Hawaiian pizza no flavor, hardly any Canadian bacon and a few pieces of pineapple. Overpriced for all 4 entres  ( over $100.00). The waitress couldn't even recommend an entre when asked. Will not go back or recommend your restaurant to anyone.
