Came in on a Monday night around 8:00pm. I heard really great things about the back outside lounge area, however it was raining so we sat inside. There was only one other table and a few people at the bar. I looked up the menu online before so I had an idea of what I wanted to order. When the waitress came over I ordered the peanut butter martini I saw on the website, but as it turned out they did not have the ingredients to make it (strike one). I decided to go with the St. German tiger, which was very good. My husband ordered a Stella, which they were out of (strike two) and wound up with a Perroni.

For dinner I ordered the fig and prosciutto pizza, but again they were out of fig (strike three). I then decides to go with the roasted pear and cranberry salad, but once again, they were out of cranberries (strike four). I was really about to leave at this point but my husband wanted to give them a try. My last resort was the Chi salad which had fruit and walnuts, finally something they could actually make. My husband ordered the Panko tuna.

While we were waiting they brought out bread with sauce on it which was served cold, It was good and a small plate of olives. I noticed my water had a fly floating in it (of course) (strike five).

When the food arrived it looked good. My husbands mashed potatoes were pipped and very fancy looking, however they were bland lacked flavor. He said the tuna was very good, but they forgot the wasabi. My portion was small but the salad was good. However, a few of my strawberries were moldy (strike six!). We passed on Dessert, didn't want to risk it.

Overall, the waitress was very nice. She seemed used to all the issues, but still apologetic. I decided to tell her about the strawberries in the salad, just she could hopefully alert the kitchen and make sure it doesn't happen again. She did take it off the bill, which was nice. But you would think with all the issues and the lack of tables the manager would have come over to apologize, but no go. I think he was at the bar doing shots....

I would not recommend coming here for dinner, too many issues!! Not even interested in coming back for drinks and checking out the back area when it's nice out.

The Grilled Shrimp over mixed green salad was tasty.
The fresh spinach with drizzled tomato sauce was good as well.
The place has a cool vibe.

One of my co workers was getting married and a few of us met up for drinks. Nice ambiance, flirty waiters, great appetizers...horrible parking. Overall cool hang out spot.

Went here for a friends birthday. The place is nice and they have a really delicious infused vodka, the one we tried was grey goose with strawberry and pineapple. mmm!

my only gripe is there was a private party going on outside in the tented area, and when we asked the staff if we could go there, they first told us one time the party was ending but when we went to move ourselves out there the party was just starting. seems the staff didn't know much about the party themselves.

the pizza here is very delicious!..

the dj was good. but i wish i could have enjoyed the outside more, especially because it was enclosed... people were smoking in the tent..

would have loved to stay out there more, but smokers always prevail.

Great lounge for drinks and appetizers. I felt relaxed as soon as I walked in, my waitress came to check on us multiple times, the manager stopped by to ask how we were doing as we'll as one of the bus boys. It wasn't annoying like those places that harass you but it was thoughtful. When our food took a little longer than expected they came over to apologize, but it was perfect timing because the appetizers were so filling. The mixed drinks were strong and filled to the brim. When our food did come it was piping hot, and there was no way I could finish it because the portion was huge. I'm a vegetarian so I had the penne primavera and my husband had the lamb chops which he devoured and said we're great. A friend went here on Monday and gave a great recommendation. I will go back and probably get another pasta dish without meat. I really really love this place.

We came here to celebrate my birthday. I thought the food was wonderful. The.drinks were great. However, we made a reservation for 13 and the table was set for 12, and then, they tried to squish us all together like sardines instead of adding a chair at the end. In the end they added the chair. The service was super fast in the beginning and slow at the end. While the waitress was very polite all night, and not rude, we did recieve less attention. The food was wonderful though, one thing was better than the next. I just hoped for dancing as I was told that after 11pm, dinner would end and the place would turn into more of a lounge. That did not happen. I was tired so it worked out, but I did want some dancing as promised. DJ did start lightly playing at 9pm though, as promised. The back patio was well heated and quaint. I http://think.it would be great there in the summers. I would come again for a more intimate dinner or night out. Try the Beef Wellington (with an Asian twist), lamb chops, and banana cheesecake spring rolls.

So... we went to Chi for dinner courtesy of our sis-in-law and bro-in-law as a anniversary gift. As soon as we walked in the door we were greeted and seated. Drinks came right after, appetizers were scrumptious!!!! And the entrée was fantastic, portions are huge and satisfying. Ambiance is warm and relaxing. It is a great place to take a loved one to eat....

Decided to check this place out for Long Island Restaurant Week, and left with mixed feelings.
My friend and I ordered chocolate-based martinis I loved my Cookie Monster, but she could hardly get her Triple Chocolate Truffle down because it was heavily loaded with cream.
I got the kobe beef sliders to start, which weren't bad, but you can't really go wrong with sliders. However, the greasy fries they served with it did not appeal to my taste buds.
Main Course: I chose the Asian Skirt steak, and I was pretty disappointed. The steak was seriously overcooked and rubbery, and the mashed potatoes that came with it were bland.
Dessert: I got the chocolate souffle. I took one bite and put it down. Too bitter!

The lounge itself was very pretty, soft house music playing in the background that wasn't so loud that we had to raise our voices to have a conversation. The crowd is mostly 20-30 somethings decked out in cheap suits or Armani Exchange. The waiter was extremely professional and quick to take our plates away/refill our glasses. I would probably come back for another girls' night out, but most likely will skip the food next time.

Went this weekend for a birthday and had a great time. We shared a few different appetizers and all were great. I really enjoyed my entree (tuna dish) as well as the atmosphere.

After hearing everyone raving about this place, my girlfriend and I decided to try this place this past Friday night. We ate at another nearby restaurant and decided to go to chi for some drinks and good music. BOY WAS I WRONG TO THINK THAT!!.
We strolled in about 11:30pm to a DJ playing loud techno music blaring from his blown speaker. It wasn't nice lounge music beats you would hear at a trendy lounge... It was TECHNO. My gf and I look at each other and say, I give this place 10 minutes before we gtf outta here. We sat at the bar and put my cellphone down on the bar, not realizing it was all sticky and disgusting. The bartenders walked by us 7 times before saying " what do you need?". Talk about 2 of the rudest and clueless bartenders and you'll find them here. We ordered 2 drinks while we both sat their asking ourselves what the hell is this DJ playing?.. The customers were not enjoying this crap either as we watched several of them go up to him complaining.
We both took 3 sips from our drinks and just couldn't take the cocky attitude of the 2 bitches behind the bar anymore, the music got pworse, and we left after only 18 minutes. Full drinks still on the sticky bar.
This has got to be the worst excuse for a lounge on LI. Never again.

So I came to this place and noticed that the decor was pretty nice, but hold on..

I decided to try their brick oven pizza ... *puke*

I ordered the margarita pizza and it was just awful - it hardly had any sauce, the cheese wasn't fresh, and the dough was hard n crusty on the outside and raw on the inside!!! I should of sent it back, duh.

As for the service? I don't know whats worse the bartender's attitudes or genital herpes.

We invited a couple of friends out to dinner and gave this place a shot. The decor was nice, the atmosphere was alright, and the food/service was nothing to write home about. Good, not great. Our table ordered appetizers of vegetable spring rolls, and a crab meat tower with avocado. The spring rolls were greasy and even with the infused oils that decorated the crab plate, all it tasted like was wet lump crab meat and avocado. Our entrees looked great on the plate, but again nothing mind-blowing about the taste. Flavors just didn't pop. Overall, it's a nice place to get together for a meal but it's not a place I would consider for a repeat visit.

Quaint restaurant on Post Ave. Myself, and 6 friends decided to nab a reservation to restaurant week, last week. Even though we had a reservation, we were not seated for 20 minutes after we had all arrived.

After sitting, we ordered drinks, and placed our order, which all took AGES to arrive, over an hour, which is slightly ridiculous.

Since we ordered off the prix-fixe menu:

Appetizers:
- Kung Pao Calamari - very well made, asian sauce was a little overwhelming.
- Kobe Sliders - beyond delicious - fries were PERFECT!

Entrees:
- Cognac Chicken - Shallot crusted chicken breast accompanied with whipped maple sweet potatoes, sautéed spinach and a cognac demi glaze = SCRUMPTIOUS!
- Asian Skirt Steak - Lightly grilled and topped with caramelized sweet onions & roasted garlic whipped potatoes = GIVE IT A PERFECT 10!

Dessert:
- Chocolate Souffle - Warm chocolate cake with whipped cream topped with a vanilla sauce = was a tad bitter for my liking, but every one else seemed to like it!
- Banana Cheese Cake Spring Roll - Cheesecake with sautéed banana, Frangelico liqueur and brown sugar wrapped in a wonton = YUMMY, would have finished it if I had enough room in my stomach!

OVERALL = FOOD WAS AMAZING, I WOULD GIVE IT A 9/10
SERVICE = EXTREMELY SLOW, so -1 for atrocious service. Our waiter did give me a "on the house" glass of Riesling since I had to wait so long for my second drink, so I can't complain.

It was okay. Went there for a friends birthday. The bartenders didn't want to be there at all, and they called last call at 12:30 on a Friday night with at least 25 people between the bar and the outdoor patio, so that was kinda lame. There are other lounge type environments in the general area, so I would have to suggest trying somewhere else with a little more space to move. I didn't eat there so on principal I am giving a 2 star experience a 3 for the benefit of the doubt that the dining is okay.

Stopped in for a drink and a quick bite while waiting for the LIRR. Very out of the way for me. Nice enough place, decor is memorable, modern. House music in the background. Sat at the bar, gal there was nice, professional. I would try it for dinner with my wife if it was closer to home.

Downstairs restaurant area does not look much like a lounge; there is another area on the second floor which is open for events.

Went here with a group of 6 for LI Restaurant week 2 weeks ago. I have to say, I really like the atmosphere. The food was great and so were the drinks.

TERRIBLE WAIT STAFF... couldn't get her attention to save my life, and she forgot things. As she was pouring water, she spilled some ice and just swept it onto the floor (which could be dangerous!).

The music was way too loud and the crowd was older, but sketchy. It was a Wednesday night!! I feel like they should really separate the dining area from the "clubbing" area because it just got too distracting.

Overall, I would go here for dinner/drinks again, but maybe only if I'm in the mood to stay and go clubbing.

The outdoor area in the back looks like it would be cool (in the summer).

The parking sucks and the inside is tiny but nice. Beautiful outdoor patio and the music pretty good. It's a restaurant that covers as a lounge after hours. Def a nice summer spot you should try out. Weds is the better night to go and party it up.

The place is definitely a mixed age group of 30's and up. Waiter was friendly. Food was average-good. We had coconut shrimp, filet mignon and stuffed cheese ravioli. Atmosphere is lounge but it still has that club style. Loud dance music starts playing around 10PM so at that point I couldn't converse with my friend without leaning in close. If you're there to meet new people, the ambiance works. Backyard lounge reminds me of a bbcue in someone's yard. Rock waterfall display is very nice. Overall it was OK. On the weeknight that we were there ratio of men to women was 20 to 1.

This a beautiful dining club that seems to attract many upscale, local people maybe mid 30's and up...It seems to get younger when the music turns up after ten, but that is just my observation. I am late 40's and feel comfortable having cocktails with friends here. Young and old, the people that you meet here are very interesting and pleasant. Martinis are unbelievable, the best I have ever had and many different ones than most bars...in huge Martini glasses, not the ones that are tiny and spill half of your drink out. Food is great....steak, interesting appetizers...it's all good. Love the outdoor, covered patio. Even in the winter, you can go out for some fresh air. In the nice weather, there is seating to lounge around. Really nice place.

I'm surprised by the negative/so-so reviews I'm reading on here. I went last night with my parents and had a great experience at Chi. (FYI--parking lot is small, you may have to park on the street.) The appetizers are large portions and we all enjoyed our starters. My filet mignon was cooked perfectly and was really delicious. My parents had nothing but good things to say about their food.

The service was good. The waiter was very polite and friendly and he told us to call him over if we needed anything so that he wouldn't "interrupt." I've never heard a waiter say something like this before, but he was always nearby and we did not have any problems with the service. By the way, he was South African and VERY cute. ;-)

The music did get loud as the night went on and by the end of our dinner (around 10:15) it was quite loud but it didn't bother me at all. It is a lounge after all and there were quite a few people mingling and having drinks when we left. If you have a problem with loud music, come earlier, because this is a BAR LOUNGE place during late hours. I also noticed that they had large floor to ceiling windows that I'm told open up in the summer time which I'm sure makes the atmosphere/dining area more open.

I will definitely be coming back soon for dinner and drinks with my boyfriend and trying the Kobe beef sliders--they looked AWESOME.

Went last night for their restaurant week menu.

There was only a few people in there but the experience was great. Great ambiance and very comfortable feel. Our server was also the bartender but he was extremely personable and funny, he was also well-informed on the menu selections which helped us choose.

I didn't enjoy the loud music so much, it was like listening to the radio on blast but I guess it is a lounge.

Other than that - food was delish and the portions were big too. Definitely would recommend.

The indoor decor is very nice, modern, and trendy. Their entree is a bit pricy so I settled for their appetizers. The vegetable spring roll is pretty good as my friends enjoyed their shrimp w/rice and lobster bisque soup.
The only problem I had with this place is that they play music extremely loud where you can't hold a conversation with the person sitting next to you.
There is a dining area next to the lounge which i feel bad for the people who had to listen to the music blasting while they are eating their pricy entree. The extreme loud music spoils the mood. There should be a few more spaces for the lounge area as well.
