  Went here after reading other positive reviews on Yelp. In town from Houston where there is no shortage of good bakeries and sandwich shops. I had the turkey avocado sandwich on a croissant and the wife had the same on an onion bun. The food easily matched some of the best sandwiches I've had anywhere. They don't skimp on the meat yet the Sammy was still very we'll balanced. Certainly not dry but not dripping or soggy either.
  
  The family that owns it were very friendly. We struck up a conversation with them while waiting for the food. She noticed me looking at the pastries and just gave me one to try. Can't beat that.
  
  We'll be going back before leaving town!

  Quaint. Quick service. Very reasonable prices. SO NICE to find chicken salad & chicken breast sandwiches in a town with mostly steakhouses & burger joints.

  I've been stopping here for years on my frequent trips up to the panhandle, and the chicken salad sandwich is as good now as it was the first time I tried it. I also tried a donut today and really enjoyed it. They also have excellent ice for drinks!

  Any bakery that has a daiiy weight watchers special (that was actually appetizing btw) is a winner in my opinion.   Thankfully, I cannot speak of the pastries :D

  I've been to the bakery many many times, and the food is normally wonderful. However, today there was a fake fingernail in the potato salad. Gross. They did give me another scoop of potato salad to make up for it though...I didn't touch it. How do you lose a fingernail while cooking and not realize it?

  Used Yelp to find this place on the way thru Childress trying to avoid another greasy fast food stop. Sure glad we did! Our sandwiches - on DELICIOUS fresh homemade bread - were very tasty & reasonably priced. Staff was friendly and fast. We'll stop here again next time we're through Childress.

  Glad we chose this place over DQ. The food was amazing. Fresh homemade bread for my chicken salad sandwich. Husband had potato salad with his sandwich and said it was great. Had to have fudge brownie for dessert which was delicious.  Very friendly staff and great food. Can't get any better than that.

  We loved this place. Only had donuts and milk but they were great. Fresh donuts, not greasy. Cold milk. The sandwichs looked so good.

  I am such a fan of this place.  First of all, I love their ham, egg, and cheese croissant for breakfast.  It is super yummy.  Even my husband love these and he is a picky eater.  For lunch I love their chicken avocado sandwich.  Super delightful!  Their soups are always great too!  I can't eat lunch there without getting some soup.  They also have a Weight Watchers meal everyday.  They'll tell you how many points it is which is handy for dieters.  The bakery is always crowded at breakfast and lunch so it make not be super fast if you go at those times.  It helps to call your order in ahead of time.
