Figured I would give this place a try after driving by it so many times.

The food was OK. Just have to focus on grabbing things right away as they come out of the kitchen. This place suffers the curse of all low-traffic buffet places.... the food gets cold because there aren't that many customers.... and there aren't that many customers because they don't put fresh food out... so it tends to be cold and flaccid.

The most entertaining thing about this place has got to be the people. We were lucky enough to be seated next to some gentlemen with long beautiful grey ponytails & tie-dyed attire/headbands who spent their time complaining long and loud about the "Beavis & Butthead generation". I didn't have the heart to tell them "the kids" haven't watched that show in 20 or so years.... nor that their crystal deodorant had stopped working and we were slowly dying from the stench.

Better still, some people were deeply offended that they had made the special trip all the way from their farm to the big city to go to China House, only to find that there were no "crab legs" available this particular evening. Like it's the wait staffs fault or something? Geeze people, lighten up.

Wednesday night is "kids nights" and Sunday is the day for "seniors" apparently.

An ordinary buffet, don't know what to say. A small tip: it is not a good idea to go there on Sunday night. Since they are closed on Mondays, it seems they do not want to make too much things the day before. So on Sunday night the quantity of the food is small and apparently they do not want to add more even if the food box is almost empty.

Visited for the first time after getting advertisement about a new chef. The lunch buffet was the best we've had in Indiana. Usually I stay away from chicken dishes but the presentation of all the dishes was so nice (smaller portions which didn't leave food swimming in sauce, for example) that I tried the teriyaki chicken, pepper chicken and orange chicken (that had whole mushrooms with it-that was new AND yummy) all if which were very good! The sushi was also good, a rarity at buffets. Ambience is nice and restrooms are clean. Service is good but the buffet was really exceptional!
