I've come here about ten times now and I am underwhelmed every time. They are super stingy with their portions here, so your $7 burrito will leave you still hungry. They don't keep their food hot. Every time I go, I get a stone cold burrito. The workers there are "friendly" but are more just like robots that just go through the motions, but really don't care about you or your food at all. I'm not going here anymore which is sad because I really like Chipotle.
Review Source:I love Chipotle, but the service at this location is just Okay... for that they are only getting 3 stars... I call in my orders and they always transfer it to someone else and i get a "Ya" type of response to place my order... My orders are always right but I would like more of a smile over the phone.
Review Source:We stopped here for a quick bite after the beach. Although I feel like I am eating pretty healthy when we get food from Chipotle, there really isn't a whole lotta flavor and seasoning goodness going on. We are spoiled being in Southern California, but it's pretty bland... We have tried a Chipotle at a different location and it was the same. A little boring...
As far the staff... Holy attitude Batman!! Served up a big ol' flour tortilla full of freaking 'tude... They really didn't want to bother with us and acted as if we were taking too long to decide what we wanted. We weren't in line and there wasn't a line, so we didn't get it... Â Won't be back.
If it wasn't for the classic good Chipotle taste, I'd give it 1 star. I think this place is poorly managed.
1. Customer service isn't very good. My experience with two of the folks behind the counter was very blah. They didn't have energy, or give a feeling of warmth.
2. Music was too loud. It made it hard to enjoy my meal, let alone think. I had to speak loudly to get my order across too.
3. Air conditioning was too cold. Frankly speaking I wanted to leave. I couldn't stand it in there.
I gave this location one star too many just because I love the food but this location SUCKS! Last few times I've been here it's been ok but the first time I went was horrible. It was so loud I couldn't here the employee taking my order and they couldn't hear me and the manager working the cashier was RUDE, a smartass, very unprofessional all because they couldn't get my order right. That bad experince was during the school year so I went during lunch time which was a bad bad idea. Full of high schoolers, loud, line out the door, etc. Since it was packed I'm assuming that's why the employee's were trying to rush me, all talking loud and fast, super unhappy. Since school has been out it's been ok I guess. A bunch of kids work here so they're kinda clueless. Ever since that experience I avoid going here unless I'm starving and craving Chipotle and even then I try to send my coworker for me so I wouldn't have to deal with the employee's. I always walk out of there pissed off haha
Review Source:Service is super quick. I was getting dinner for myself and my husband, and I was in and out within 5 minutes. The minus 2 stars is for the staff. No greeting, not a single smile, and the reason why the whole thing only took 5 minutes was because they were rushing me! There wasn't even anyone behind me in line. Also, how are they going to call themselves a "Mexican Grill" and not serve Spanish rice?!
Review Source:Food quality is OK. Service is awful. I have been here several times (the only reason I go back is because the kids like the food) and always feel like I am being rushed through the line with questions being yelled at me. Â Portion size is inconsistent and more often than not I feel like I am just not getting my money's worth.
Review Source:Nothing but kids work here - I wouldn't waste your time- I asked to speak to a manger- Â she looked about 12 and spoke a mile a minute- I didn't even get my order right-
Id stick to Pedro's - least you get what you pay for there - minus the corporate "I'm 21 and run a fast food joint that's not supposed to be a fast food joint" atmosphere.
So both my wife and I (and my 10 month old baby) agree is that we hate to give one of our favorite food restaurants a low star rating, but I have had enough of this particular location. Came here three times because it was convenient for me since in live three minutes away. Â
Now I will be going to the Dana point one from now on.. They are always consistent ( better management I assume) and always welcoming.
1) they are not welcoming at this one, don't even say hi. Nothing! Not like I want to small talk, I just want to eat, but we're all human in this society, at least be humane and friendly to one another. Hello,
2) they always mess up prepping food for example too much or wayyy to little of certain items. Like half a spoon of rice in a bowl, c'mon am I really that fat? No. I'm 5'10 170lbs. Burritos are like thin egg rolls or too big that it breaks at first grasp.
3) what this chipotle really needs is better group of people that actually can do better work for their image, and a better manager to support it.
I'm not one too complain, hell I'm not one to sit on my phone to write a review I got better things to do! But I want to let the yelp community know what they will expect when they choose to eat at this place. You're welcome.
Maybe in the future
This place will clean up its act. Â For now I'll go to the other location.. My review is based on my experiences for
I have high standards for how I like my food and service. Other peoples
Standards may be low - so you MAY think its acceptable and I'm okay with that.
Management! Manage your employees better. Better training , okay? Thank you!
Chipotle is chipotle, and chipotle is delicious. But the group of unorganized, seemingly clueless kids that work here make the experience really subpar, which is pretty disappointing. The teenage employees either look extremely stressed out/frazzled or really lethargic/notably apathetic.
I'd give it 4-5 stars regardless if the food comes out good (because that's what it's all about) but man, they even mess up the burritos/bowls by either adding waaaayyyyy too much cheese or waaayy too little, or just making everything messy (so a good chunk of the meal falls out), etc.. you get the picture. To screw with the food in that way demeans the good name of Chipotle. And that's just sick.
I came back a couple more times (right now I'm living in San Clemente, might as well give the local Chipotle a couple chances right?) and each time there's just a little something off which really irks me.
3 stars for food, 1 star for service/presentation. CHIPOTLE IS AN ART, DON'T DEGRADE IT
They charge for the chips, which none of their competitors do....they aren't even warm chips, so they weren't that great and they didn't pack any salsa in the to-go bag, so we got home with no salsa for the chips and the burrito was also dry....this place desparately needs a salsa bar so customers can mix and match some salsa for their dishes....they also charge extra for guacamole and it's nothing to write home about (it has that starchy taste, which means they added some filler to the avocados.)
All in all, I prefer Baja Fresh.
This place, while new, is subpar when compared to other Chipotle locations. Â Hardly any cheese was put into my burrito, Â the steal didn't seem like it was cooked all the way, my sisters salad had no lettuce and the old lady at the register wasn't too welcoming.
Hopefully it will straighten out in the future, but right now, I'd recommend going somewhere else.
The one Mexican place that doesn't get me sick. Can't say the same for the 2 girls servin up some fresh attitude with my burrito bowl but hey. The food is always good, fresh & healthier tasting than most mexican establishments. They even have brown rice! I love their bowls: your choice of meat, rice, beans, salsa, guacamole, corn, cheese: yum!
So glad there's one in SC now!
