Meh! So so. Nothing was bad. Nothing was great. Service, on a not very busy night, brought everything at once so pacing was weird. But wait staff was friendly.
Much touted shrimp and lobster tacos were ok, would have been a lot cheaper at Rubio's with no quality drop-off. Â Too expensive for quality if food.
I recently ventured back into Beachfire after a few year hiatus. I am SO glad I did. The Ahi sandwich was the best I have ever had in my life. I order Ahi Sandwches often. I enjoy them, but so far out of the hundreds I have had in my life this one takes the cake. When the waitress set it in front of me I first thought I would never be able to cram the thing in my mouth. It is towering with toppings. But I decided that in order to get the full effect I would just smash it down, cut it in half and try my best. After the second bite I just paused and my friend asked if I was okay. I was stunned. It was amazing, simply amazing. I ate the entire thing with no regret. A thing of such beauty should not be wasted.
I've always enjoyed the look of Beachfire and had once enjoyed the ambience though sadly the bar seen ruined it for me. The last owner really didn't care and sadly dinner was no longer a pleasure with cigarette smoke wafting through the place while drunk idiots left glasses all over the place. I am Pleased to announce that the new owners have gone back to the roots of Beachfire's Artisan approach and restored it's appeal.
Bottom line, the food was spectacular, the service was warm and welcoming and the place is just cool. Sit by the fireplace I reccomend it.
I am so glad to have another resturant to hit. I'm burnt on Nick's and SOuth of Nick's.
