Los Patios

Hubby and I were in the area and decided to check this joint out. We were so glad we stopped in. First of all, the staff is very friendly and attentive. Met the owner who was very nice.

Now the food... OMG so yummy! I had the carnitas chimichanga which was insanely huge I had to take half home. Hubby had the shrimp fajitas which was fantastic. The shrimp was large unlike some places that seem to use bay shrimp (exaggerating, I know but just wanted to make a point). I had a margarita on the rocks with salt... my my.. either I am a really light drinker (which I am) or they were generous with the alcohol. I was feeling pretty good by the time I left... Oh and leave some room for dessert. The flan is a creamy caramelly concoction which is a great ending to a great meal.

Highly recommend this place if you want some great mexican food and great service.

Little hole in the wall, good specials, stiff drinks, friendly staff... haven't had any of the credit card issues some people are saying. Really like the margaritas... Monday night $5 Enchiladas are my favorite.

HORRIBLE! I would not go here if it was to save my life.

We had a coupon that THEY ADVERTISE in pennysaver and the guy told us they do not accept them. Umm, is there another Los Patios at this address printed on the coupon?!

Staff was extremely rude to my family and I when we visited. They denied us a menu and told us the only thing on the menu that night was an enchilada special, so everyone had to get an al la carte enchilada or go hungry. So we ordered their enchiladas, but.... the table across the way (the only other people in the whole restaurant) were given menus and allowed to order from them, from our waiter. This got me curious so I asked. And the waiter acted like I was blind.

Oh, we get the bill. Okay, easy ...we proceed to hand him the bill with one of our debit cards. EPIC FAIL!! The waiter didn't tell us it's CASH ONLY. No signs, no nothing. So then the waiter tells us to use their ATM, which personally I would have NOT done (I wouldn't trust these guys with anything, I can't believe I ate their crusty food-Ew!). Guess what? Their ATM machine is broken, so the guys tell us there's a bank down the street that someone can walk to. Yeppp... I wanted to walk out then and there. But we paid.

Thank goodness, it's a hole in the wall --because it's a shame to have a business like this running in the town of San Clemente. YELP, shut this place down.
