Iva Lees

Went there Friday.  
Wow it was packed.  Glad we had a reservation.   Food was great.  Our server was awesome.  The atmosphere was perfect.  We were there with a group for a birthday.  The bday girl had a blast.

I just love Iva Lees!  Just recently, I've tried the braised short ribs, fried green tomatoes, the wedge salad and a chocolate cake (flour less i think).  It was all delicious.  I love their signature china and the service is great!  Only place here locally that serves up a "green fairy" at the bar (absinthe).  They have the best live music in San Clemente.  This place is just awesome.

Terrific southern / creole food in a cozy and warm environment. The cornbread is the best I've ever enjoyed. French Onion soup, bone-in pork chop, BBQ shrimp, Jambalaya, and pecan pie were all outstanding. The service is efficient, and the wine selection is decent. Everything is reasonably priced, resulting in a great value. Pick up a small bottle of their hot sauce for a Tabasco substitute in your own cooking.
