The Surferosa Cafe

I rarely walk out of a place, but when I wait 15 minutes for even a "hello" from the staff, I just can't justify waiting longer. We even got our menus from the table next to us because apparently everyone was too busy to come say hello, even though the restaurant wasn't even full. I really wish I could rate the food, but unfortunately we couldn't get that far. I hate rating a restaurant based on just one aspect, but in this case the service was all we got to experience, and it was one star...at best. I will also mention that this is the second time the service has tempted us to leave. The first time we persevered, hoping that because we were one of like three parties, they would pull their head out.

Sorry Surferosa, I am not a "negative" yelper. I only write bad reviews when they deserve to be noted, and in this case you are one of them.

This is becoming my favourite neighborhood restuarant. The food quality and presentation are excellent. and the prices are very reasonable. It 's newly decorated interior has a casual vibe.   I dont understand why it isnt more busy yet - but no doubt the word will get out soon.

I'm very impressed after my first visit. Good service, quality food, unique presentation, crisp and fresh veggies. Cheap too! Verdict is out on the coffee still. I'll be back!
