Annoying hours, not open til 12 on Sundays. CLOSED today, Superbowl Sunday, which jammed us up. Not a holiday, people. Why are you closed? Not everyone is a jock.

Veggies taste like a dishwasher: chemical-y and gross. Sometimes chicken is mystery meat... I like their sauce, but they are pretty stingy with their 1/16 oz cups for it.

Employees are all annoying teenagers that are either goofing off unprofessionally or unable to figure out the register. Once I had to literally provide EXACT change and it was still a long, drawn out process.

Owners better get it together if they want to stay in business.

These low rating haters are TRIPPIN.

Waba is simple and delicious.  We came on a Friday at lunch time and the service was good; portions, generous.  Got the half half veggie bowl (chicken/steak/veggies) and it was PLENTY.  And I can eat teriyaki and white rice for days - I'm no skinny bish who always leaves half her food.  So trust me when I say it was plenty.  Well worth the $6.50 investment.

They're generous with the sauce, which is delicious.  Get the green onions, they add a special little kick.  Hubs says the hot sauce is super spicy with a great flavor.

We're only here on a mini getaway for a couple days but it's so good we'll be coming back at least once again, and I'll bring a bowl or two home to San Diego also!  Already can't waaaaaait!!!!!

Waba Grill is simple and direct-beef, chicken, shrimp, salmon, and vegetarian served on a plate or in a bowl.  Oddly for an Asian restaurant, they make you pay extra for brown rice, but you can double up the meat/fish portions inexpensively.  But to cut to the chase, the food was delicious.  My group of four tried the chicken, the beef, and the vegetarian and all were cooked perfectly.  The vegetables were firm and crunchy, but cooked  perfectly.  Between the chicken and the steak, we all preferred the steak. There were nice size chunks of beef with no fat or gristle.  The chicken on the other hand, had all been hand processed, but that left some stringy parts and fat to pick out.  Not a lot, but enough to make it noticeable and less than enjoyable.  My only other disappointment is with the rigidity of the menu.  Waba cleverly offers Half-Half bowls, a great idea of satisfying diverse palates.  But when I asked for a half-half bowl of steak and shrimp, I was told you could only do steak and chicken.  I offered to pay more for shrimp, but no luck.  I tried doing it for salmon as well, but no luck again.  My suggestion to Waba is if you are going to offer half-half bowls, why not make it for EVERYTHING on the menu!  The service is quick and the restaurant is clean and bright, making it an inexpensive and fun.
