Chops Restaurant and Lounge

I came home to MD for the holidays...  One thing i miss from home is the blue crab... Living in Vegas,, i have had blue crab here but its nothing like being home.... i have been to chops in Manor Shopping Center...  I have had the MD crab soup, the Maryland style crabcakes and a Suffed orange roughy with crab topped with Imperial Sauce...  Let me say that all 3 selections were really really good... The soup was delicious nice flavor and good amount of crab.... The crab cakes are the best i have had in a long long time and will be the benchmark on what i judge a crab cake by... The stuffed orange roughy,, OMG was to die for,, it was over stuffed with crab and the Imperial sauce was really good...  It really is memorable and i will remember it for a long long time... The staff is very friendly and attentive... If you are in the area,, stop by here,, you will not be disappointed... Golf Clap for Chops... Hope this yelps...

Nick,You took the words out of my mouth ' over priced' I had the fish that night and could not tell if it was frozen or fresh and not in a good way. Blah. The salad was good and dressing not homemade.I will go back and try something else. The bar was loud but they had more people in the bar and only 4 in restaurant so I am sure the business is in the bar.

Finally a bar in Phoenix! This location has switched hands more times than I can remember but looks like chops is here to stay. Although they may be trying to take on more then they can chew, chops is a nice, clean strip mall joint with a decent menu. Good place to watch a game since there are big screens in the dinning area. The menu is standard American and a bit overpriced.
