Flew in from DC yesterday and have already come back for a second visit. And we'll be back tonight after the concert! Â Great service, great food, great beer selection and great prices. If you wrote a prior review and weren't impressed I implore you to try it again. 20 hours from home and they make you feel like a regular.
Review Source:We were in the area applying for an apartment and decided to stop in and try a future local joint. We were disappointed. We walked in and had to ask if we just sit wherever. The server that answered as pretty rude and looked annoyed to have to answer me. We were in a bit of a rush, so we were not very happy how slow the service was. No one came to see us for at least 5 minutes, which seemed like forever. There looked to only be one server and one cook/bartender on staff. The food took a long time to come out, and did not turn out to be very good. The waffle fries were tasty tho. The burger was greasy, small and of fast food quality, without the perk of it being fast. I might go back there for drinks some day, but probably not for food again.
Review Source:Skip this place. We went on a Saturday night for their trivia game. Very poor service and the few appetizers we ordered were barely edible. The jalapeño poppers were still frozen in the center. The nachos were the worst I've had with a crappy sweet chili sauce over them. It took at least 40 minutes to get the nachos, and only after we flagged down a waitress to ask where our food was. She claimed there was a "tornado" in the kitchen. The place wasn't even that busy.
The only plus was the drinks were generous and prices were cheap enough. Go for a couple drinks then go to Webb's next door for your food. You'll be better off and receive better service.
We had some scrips (gift certificates) so we decided to give this place a try. I was here years back and didn't care for it but then again when it's paid for, why not! Â Pulled up, the place was completely dead, I wasn't even sure it was really open. Went inside, front section was closed, some old country music was blaring over the speakers (Patsy Cline, I think) There was 2 men sitting at the bar and that was it. Â The bartender / waitress was very friendly. The menu seemed to have a good amount of food. Â Ordered some burgers and a chicken sandwich, fries were $2 extra - seriously for some waffle fries with your sandwich. Â It took about 40 minutes to get our food and I am not exaggerating. Â We were the only 3 in there who ordered food and the 2 people at the bar. Â The bartender / waitress spent so much time talking with them, I think she wasn't paying attention on cooking the food. Â Burgers were sub par, dry and not much flavor. Â Chicken breast was some pre-marinated cook from frozen looking thing that got lost in the bun since the bun was twice the size of the piece of chicken (that cost $8.50 mind WITH OUT fries) Â So after eating a lot of bun we were finished and left. Â Will not return, have no desire. Â Only plus to this experience was the bartender / waitress who was VERY friendly.
Review Source:This bar is in a strip mall. Normally that is automatically a no no for me. But in this case I was dragged there for chili by an ex. So I had no choice. Â The place itself is not that big. It doesn't really ever seem busy. I think I'd classify it as divey with a casual feel and clean bathrooms.
They serve food. The chili is very good. The chili fries are even better. It's pretty much standard pub food. Prices are reasonable in my opinion. Â Drink value depends on who's bar tending. Sometimes really strong, sometimes really weak. Service, for being a relatively empty bar, is generally slower with the one bartender on staff usually hanging with their bread and butter regulars. Which I expect in a non-busy bar.
So If you're out in New Berlin on Moorland, do stop in and try the chili and food. Maybe you'll get lucky and get a good cocktail too.
