Used this service in our way to a wedding from Springhill Suites. Not only did th trip to the winery seem a little steep ($30 each way), but the passenger seat of the cab had gum on it. We found this out after I had sat in it with my suit and got gum all over my behind. The cabbie said he would give us a discounted ride back to our hotel (which he did not), but said to contact him if it doesn't come out. The way I was treated by both the cabbie and person who answers the phone, I highly doubt they will help pay for any of the damages to my suit. So much for the nice" family owned" business.
Review Source:We arrived at our hotel in Temecula on a Thursday morning.  We got a bunch of numbers from the desk and began to  shop around for a driver to take and wait for us at the local wineries.  City View Taxi took the 4 of us around from 11 AM to 5 PM to all the wineries of our choice for $50 per person.  The driver Isaac was very friendly and waited for us at all wineries.  He even drove one of us who got sick back to the hotel in the middle of the day, and came back for the rest of us.  We had a very good experience with Isaac and City View Taxi.
Review Source:Just a few cents under $50 for a ride from Marriott SpringHill Suites to our wine tour meet-up location on De Portola Road.
Absolutely freaking ridiculous. Â
David was our driver last Saturday morning. Â We had to go an alternate route because the freeway was "backed up," huh? Â Riiiiiiiight. Â Regardless, David took us on a wild goose chase, zigzagging through all sorts of back roads to rack up an absurd fare. Â It's a shame that, being that the cab was more than 15 minutes late to pick us up, my boyfriend and I were on a tight schedule; I would have given David a much bigger piece of my mind if time permitted. Â About $30 into our ride I knew that we had been played, but later that day when we received a free ride back to the hotel from some new friends I realized just how out of the way David went to produce a $50 fare. Â
The vehicle? Â A crappy--and that's being very kind--ancient Lincoln Continental with cracked tan leather seats, shredded stained roof upholstery, and door paneling that I actually had to push back in place to keep from falling off. Â
Normally I wouldn't review a taxi company after experiencing a single ride, but City View Taxi is definitely worth an exception.
