Club House Pool & Sports Lounge

This place was recommended by our server at the Hitching Post and also across from our hotel (Anderson Split Pea Best Western) so it didn't matter if we got a lil toasty.

It's behind the gas station so it's a little obscure to locate but once you do, the inside is spacious and the drinks are STRONG! I got a moscow mule with premium vodka and my friend a local beer for a total of $16 - perhaps a little steep for the area, but they did not f**k around with my drink. It was a force to be reckoned with. I asked for some water on the way out and the bartender gave me a bottle of Crystal Geyser on the house. Rather classy I'd say.

Darts are free.
Pool tables are open.
The local peeps are cool and friendly.

In my limited travels, I have noticed that local watering holes evoke one of two responses from me: I either think they're a really cute/charming/cool snapshot of a certain locale, or they somehow depress me.  This place definitely qualifies as the latter.

Just had this vibe like people didn't really like it, but they were forced to go because there's no other option.  Then again, it can also be a really convenient way to get your drink on without needing to drive if you're staying at the Windmill.  So, convenience gets one star.
