Club Ra is a pretty chill place to hang out! The owner, T, is pretty cool and always has something to talk about. The atmosphere reminds me of my favorite places to go in San Diego. Palm trees, a nice pool, outdoor tables and lounging chairs, a stage for live music, DJ's etc. the bartenders are friendly and talkative and the regulars are pretty cool too. Like the other reviewer said, some nights it's crazy,  other nights its laid back and chill. I usually stop in for a few drinks and hookah. If you like hookah, T is the man. Prices in general are pretty average, but no where else can you find the relaxed atmosphere, selection of different music, conversation and a POOL to cool off in. I can't say much about the weekdays, I live pretty far away, but on the weekends club ra is usually my first and last stop. I wish more people knew about this place. It's pretty close to the beach too!

First of all, Club Ra is not what I'd call a "club" (dance floors, irritating and loud music, Jersey Shore wannabes, etc).

The parking lot is HUGE, so that's always a plus.  Of course, the bar is kind of tucked in about a quarter or half block from the road, so it's really easy to miss this place.
When you arrive, you'll notice a sort of Egyptian theme in the plants and random decorations.  You'll also notice that about 80% of the property is outdoors.
Plenty of tables, lounge chairs, and a hammock or two, all around the really nice looking swimming pool.  Yep - in the middle of drinking, you can peel down to your trunks or bikinis and hop on in for a swim (which is really nice during the hot, humid summers down here).

The bartenders are usually friendly, cute gals.  The owner, T, is a nice guy and is at the place often.  He's always up for a good discussion on religion, politics, and the other interesting-yet-taboo stuff.

The building itself is pretty small, with a bar that's perhaps 15-20' long, but there are also several large tables inside.  The restrooms are also housed here, and I believe they both have showers (probably for those that like to shower after swimming).
The liquor selection is about average, so no complaints there.  The beer selection is also about average, with roughly average prices (you can get a bucket of 5 domestic beers for around $11 - not too bad).
The interior also houses a jukebox, cigarette machine, and as of this month, some pretty nice dartboards.
You can rent a hookah for the night, and the coals and tobaccos are really cheap.
Depending on the night of the week, you may find karaoke, open mic night, a DJ or two, a barbeque, etc.  During the colder nights, there may also be a fire.
Food is welcome, so bring whatever, or order delivery.

The atmosphere is usually either really, really mellow, or frickin' party mode - and they're both awesome.  Overall, the place has a very comfortable feel to it.  There are a good amount of regulars, and most of the people that come here are generally mellow.
I mean, there is no other place that I know of that I'd feel comfortable at getting hammered, then passing out in a hammock without having to worry about anything.

As of right now, they are not open on Sundays or Mondays.  Any day of the week can be hit or miss as far as attendance goes, but the more people start coming here, the bigger the crowds get.  I think if this place can really get word of mouth going around, they'll have a much larger name by this next summer.
