I was with some folks who wanted Murky Waters for lunch today.   I knew exactly what I wasn't going to get.  I picked a burger this time.  It was decent.  The bread was nice and sweet but it was far from a good burger.  I sampled a someone's wings and they were much better than the one's I had on my previous trip.  Still haven't been at night to sample the drinks and bands but this was a much better experience.

My husband and I stopped here for lunch today. We started with an order of the pulled pork loaded fries, and they were sooo good, especially with the barbecue sauce. I had a combo platter with shredded chicken and brisket, and my husband had just the brisket. The meats were AMAZING, smoky, well seasoned and delicious. We each ordered baked beans, and they were really good, with big pieces of pulled pork. However, they came out blazing hot and I burned my tongue on them... Still really good though. The cole slaw was bland and boring, but I had a taste of my husband's potato salad and it was fantastic. They have a ton of beers on tap, and more in bottles. Service was good, attentive and very fast.

I ate here while I was in town recently and I came away impressed. The place was was kind of tucked away on 27th avenue but probably not hard to find if your a local.

The atmosphere was nice, the space was wide open so you didn't feel congested or cramped. Great space to come grab some brews with the buds at the bar or come in and grab some tasty grub and watch a blues band.

Now to the nitty gritty, the FOOD. I came here with two others and we split a order of the loaded fries with pulled pork. I agree with one of the earlier Yelpers. The nacho cheese they slather on here is not in the same league as the pulled pork or chillis that are with the fries. All in all though still a heck of a eat, especially if you hit it with some barbecue sauce. We all three ordered the combination platter which comes with two types of barbecue and two sides for $13.95 which is incredibly reasonably priced. I ordered the ribs and pulled pork and the potato salad and seasoned greens. The barbecue was AWESOME! FYI they season and smoke the meats dry which is the way it should be done. If your looking for weak sauce barbecue drenched in sauce your coming to the wrong place. The ribs were juice and tender and fell off the bone, the smoke job done well enough you don't need the sauce although I slapped it on there to try, it was DELICIOUS! The potato salad was creamy and rich. I'm usually not a fan of collared greens but these greens were seasoned had a little kick and had some of the great smoked pork for added flavor. The other two ordered the brisket/ribs combo with baked beans and greens and potato salad and I tried some of the brisket and it was equally good. Great backyard smoke flavor and seasoned great. All in all we left stuffed and satisfied. In a town overrun by cheap, crappy casino eats Murky Waters is definitely a knotch above and a place I'd definitely recommend if your a local or out of town visiting and looking for quality food away from the gaming floors. Ill definitely be going back next time I am in town!
