I have long debated on writing an update for Coach's but after our last visit I decided let's give them another star!
Pins and Strikes/Coach's has been taken over by a new owner, maybe over a year ago. Â They have had fights, shootings and bad reviews. Â LOL I'm sorry I'm getting to the reason for the four stars. . . With all that said they have seemed to overcome some of these hard ships and developed a worthy venue for us, Elk Grovians! Â Elk Grove is lacking on the bar, music, dancing scene and Coach's has began to fill that void. Â
The menu has been revamped, which include new tasty items and lower prices. Â
The music scene is GREAT including the groups Midnight Players, Mercy Me, DJ Gino and live jazz; giving the venue a older more mature vibe.
The drinks, though served in plastic cups (remember it's still a bowling alley), are worthy of drinking and prices are reasonable.
The scene is alive and fun every Friday and Saturday nights. Â Also keep in mind all the sporting events they have for your viewing pleasure! Â
So all in all, Coach's has stepped up and I hope they continue to provide us with fun times!
This place is good for seating when it comes to catching games. Â Plenty of different sections w/ TVs. Â Food is OK, service can be very slow depending on how busy. Â Our server today lacked common sense waiting skills such as providing napkins when she brought our food and not bringing back the correct amount of cups. Â Given it was a busy day, she showed flashes of attitude which obviously isn't good. Â I would give this sports bar a better rating if they upgraded their menu and stepped it up a notch w/ better service.
