Great community of people, friendly baristas, free & fast wifi, affordable & tasty teas (I've yet to try the coffee). Folks are pretty respectful of the quietness here but they also play background music too. It's my first time here & I'm quite impressed. I shall return!

You can enter from S. Park Victoria and go up the ramp on the right side to reach the cafe.

Support local businesses, come here instead of the big corporate chain shops.

I had to check out the restroom, just to see if it was super-huge, even though I had no "needs".  I expected airport-huge, but disappointment set in when it was just merely 10 times the size of my bathroom at home.

As for the coffee, it is good but not spectacular (I think Peets is better).  I got way-above-average counter service one time, which was nice. ;-)  The seating area is spacious, and the free Wi-Fi is super fast.  I love the atmosphere created by people milling around between services on Sunday; truly community-oriented, living up to the shop's name.

This coffee shop is a great place to study, work, or chill. The prices of the drinks and pastries are pretty affordable. There's plenty of space and they even have a small area with sofas. The bathrooms are clean too (at least the women's is). Overall great cafe, would definitely come back.

Love the atmosphere, love the coffee...you should definitely try chai tea with soymilk. Great tables to study at and great, fast internet

You definitely feel closer to God since it's inside the church campus. You have to open the gate and then walk towards the left. The sign on the door is pretty hard to find.

I would definitely come back here! Godly coffee.

    Nice and big place.
It's on church premises and you may have to open a gate to get in... but don't worry. Everyone is welcome. The gate is because there is a pre-school here too and so you know... gotta protect the kiddies.
Anyways, check this place out. It's big inside, lots of seating, free wifi.
    Enjoy.

This place is a hidden gem.  It is true, even if you happen to live in Milpitas.  I love this place as it is very quiet, large, and their coffee is not nearly as strong as Starbucks.  Cheaper than Barefoot.  Way cheaper, actually.  It is so very quiet that you can study or read a book, which you cannot get that from Starbucks and Peet's.

The service here is excellent.  Just like Kenny mentioned in his review, the only gripe is that it is not open on Friday and Saturday.

I highly recommend this hidden gem.

What a cool spot to be. Customer service is great and the workers as well as the customers are nice to be around. People are really friendly. The drinks are good, too!

Community is a most relaxing, chill place to be. You just got off work want to chill have an espresso. Mmm this is that place.

The noise level? What noise. Whooo :-) yes that's 2 thumbs up in my book employees are very nice, welcoming with big smiles. Can't go wrong with that to start your drink off lots of room to move around, nice roomy couches to just unwind from your crazy day of work.

Prices on drinks are reasonable they also have pastrys to go along with your cup of JOE. Ample parking street side or there parking lot. They offer free Wi-Fi ... Suh-weet. I'll deffintly be back again, again.

Just bought a 1/4 lb. of Espresso Roast from Community Coffee and just brewed some to get the day started!  It was sooo good.  They don't market their whole bean coffee like Starbucks, but they do sell it.  Pretty tasty.

Very decent coffee; they don't make flavored drinks too sweet, like chains tend to do.

It has a quiet spacious atmosphere perfect for studying (if you like dim lighting) or meeting with friends. It's affiliated with a church, but I'd rather have my money go to them than a multi-billion dollar corporation.

The employees are extremely friendly. I get the feeling everyone else who goes here knows each other. It's only open M-Th and a brief time on Sunday, but these are precisely the times when you'll find only noisy teenagers at Starbucks and the library.

Also happens to be the only good coffee on this side of Milpitas -- and most likely the only one independently owned that doesn't make you gag.

this coffee spot is a super quiet place to have coffee and think. some folks come here to study, it's that quiet. it's more quiet than the public library. i don't even dare talk to my companion except to whisper. the only person i feel comfortable talking loudly to is the barista behind the counter. maybe it's me being there during daytime, where i only see adults reading books or studying something. absolutely no children or teenagers around.

the place is very clean, lots of seats & tables, spacious though not enough lighting. bathroom is VERY clean and well kept. outside scenery is easy on the eye, i think it will be nicer on a sunny day or even a rainy day. coffee tastes better that way. knowing everything around me was nice and clean. i will come here when i want some quiet time with my ipad. FREE WIFI.

btw, the latte & hot chocolate here is good. try them.

This place is the most underrated coffee shop in the South Bay! As a coffee snob, I care about how the coffee tastes, and Community Coffee brews some great tasting coffee (better than Starbucks, Peet's , and even Barefoot! Good enough for me to buy a pound of beans so  I can brew some at home.

The service here is always friendly no matter who is the barista. My only gripe about this place is its current hours, because its not open on weekends (Friday-Sunday).

What a great addition to the "Community"!

Milpitians have needed a coffee shop on this side of town for-ever... now we've got it!

Come check out the free music on some Friday nights, or hang out before/after church on Sundays.  Free WiFi, great service from super-friendly people and a fine selection of coffee drinks, teas and pastries!

As far as ambience is concerned Community Coffee is closer to a community college break room than a coffee shop. It's nice quiet place where you can easily get a table, a drink and get to use the free wifi.

Me: strolling in after work to to try and study

Me: found prime parking and ordered a 12oz black coffee

Dude: gives me my coffee, swipes my card, and resumed on the couch w/ his little buddies fiddling w/ their guitar whilst singing, and rapping

Me: not able to study because the "noise" was annoying

5 minutes later: I leave because I could not stand it

Black coffee tastes like what you could make at home w/ a simple coffee maker.. I did not get enticed w/ their bakery selection because a) the pastry case did not look appealing and b) I did not want to break my diet.

    I will never return.

At first your thinking of not coming because its connected in a religious venue, however don't let that intimidate you. The venue is clean and have a homey dark toned colors feel to it. There is virtually no crowds so its great if you want a place to study by yourself.

    Pros

No Crowd: Barely anyone comes here other then the Church's patrons and a small amount of people who knows about this fantastic place. Its a great place if your trying to study in a clean and uncrowded area.

Atmosphere: The place is nicely decorated and very clean.

Food: The coffee and food here is pretty good. They make it fresh and have a good selection of drinks and food.

Wifi: The wifi here is pretty fast and its free so its great when you need to study and there is no connection passwords to go through so its turn on the computer and automatically connect.

Bathroom: The bathroom here is huge like a large restaurant huge. Creepy when you first walk in because of how big it is and your not expecting the big space.

Parking: The parking lot is huge but you might have to do a little walking.

    Cons

Location: Its hard to see from outside of the place. They recently add a large sign displaying the coffee area, but before that it was difficult to spot the coffee location.

Overall Community Coffee is a great place to come and study at. Don't feel intimidated by the venue and try it for yourself.

    Free Wifi, Good Coffee.

It's big and clean and coffee's amazing.  It's nice that it's attached to my church but it's open to the public.

They have exotic coffee beans once in awhile for you to purchase to take home.

My new favorite local coffee shop!!! Service is great, very nice people! My favorite is that the bathrooms are AMAZINGLY clean! Unlike most coffee shops in my experience. Their coffee is pretty good, I've had the cafe au lait and cappuccino. The pastry selection is very small. I especially love this place because the crowd it brings. VERY quiet. Perfect place for me to study! Very spacious and relaxing feeling. Love love love!!!

This place is conveniently located just right down the street from my house. I was a little nervous about going here at first because it's located inside a Christian church so i thought it was exclusively for their congregation. Fortunately it's open to the public with convenient hours. On Sunday, they close a little early. =/

I usually get just regular coffee here. If I'm feeling fancy, I go for their iced chai latte--yummm. Their food is the usual croissant or baked goods. The staff is always friendly and the interior is spacious with ample seatings indoor and outdoor. Music can be a funky mix, but that's a minor gripe. There's definitely obvious Christian influence with their decor, but it's not excessive and nonetheless very inviting. Great to sit down and chat with friends and/or conducive for working away on your laptop.

i was so excited to see the shark.  I looked around the building for 10min....frustrated, I had to ask the worker where the fish tank was and then he told me that the container broke and that it is no long available for us to look at...=(.  Man...could you bring this back???   It's rare to sit in a coffee shop and watch a shark moving around....that's kinda hot...romantic???   =)

coffee and tea were average.  But if you can look beyond that, Community Coffe offers good environment, lots of space, free wifi, killer sofas and friendly staff.  This makes the experience that much better.  It's truly a blessing to the local community!

Coffee is excellent, prices are low relative to coffee chains and many independents, the staff is friendly and there is always ample parking.  Wonderful addition to the neighborhood!

This is a nice, quiet alternative to all the coffee chains. The coffee is good, the employees are friendly and the WiFi is free. There's plenty of seating. You can sit on a couch and watch the leopard shark in it's giant tank while sipping a latte. The only down side is snack options are limited.

If you are anywhere near Milpitas, this place is a real find, and it's an easy on/off Interstate 680.  Their coffees and pastries are way better than the chains, and you'll save money too.  But that is just the beginning.

The staff there is super nice and the seating area is AWESOME!  A large mixed seating area of soft seating, tables and high stool tables, FREE Wi-fi and a 2,000 gallon salt water aquarium stocked with all kinds of exotic fish, sharks, and other creatures.  They actually rotate through various sea life, so it's always interesting and a real attraction.

They encourage you to hang out, they even provide games.  People have meetings there, the environment is always friendly and alive.  They even bring in live entertainment and other fun stuff from time to time.

Awesome place! It pretty intimidating as it in a church, but the environment is chill and the staff super friendly (they actually say Hi and mean it). I always see families or people just hanging out and playing board games here.

Yes, there is a huge fish tank and plenty of pastries and coffee choices to pick from.

The name suggest that there should be stuff about things happening around the community (ie. clubs, group activities), but there was nothing like that around.

Overall, a fun and place to just relax and drink some coffee.

This place is awesome. I was a little afraid since it was in a church, but this place is very chill and relaxed.

I had a latte that pretty darn good, as good as Peets or Starbucks, and cheaper! The free wi-fi was nice cause I could do my homework. They also have this HUGE fish tank filled with all these crazy lookin fish. That was pretty cool. I would definitely head back to this place, it was pretty neat. Especially since they said they have live music from time to time, sweet!

This place needs to be checked out by anyone living in or around Milpitas!
