Great $0.25 wing special on a Monday was clutch. I tried Hot (good, but not hot to me... I like spicy food!), Jack Daniels (my favorite of the night) and Honey Mustard Cranberry (I didn't taste cranberry) but they are all good. Decent drink prices, but food seems to be popular as there were a bunch of people eating there on a rainy Monday eating.
Review Source:Love love love it food is amazing, drinks are amazing, staff is amazing shout to andreas for making my first time here a memorable one. Whether you live in queens or not its worth the trip great mix of people that come here. Make sure you check out ladies night on thursdays I danced my ass off.
Review Source:It can be pretty hard to get a table on Thursday nights (ladies night) and on the weekends. Â For most days of the week, they have pretty good specials going on. I'd suggest coming here during the weekdays instead of their peak times.
TIP: If you want to get the free drinks during ladies night, you need to come during the week to get the wrist bands!
I think I came in on the perfect day to use m Group on .
FATHER's DAY Sunday for the win!
I was presented with AMAZING service on this day partially because....
1) I came just when they open...okay maybe 10 minutes earlier than their 4pm open for business time.
I'm pretty sure the bartender was still taking the plastic cover-ups off the liquor bottles.
I'm also pretty certain I beat the second bartender to her shift time because she came in as my seat was lukewarm.
   Point for me.
2). It was a slow day. Â Even when I was leaving the place there were about 12 people dining.
Of those 12 people, 6 was Asian.
What does this tell you? Â
   Not a damn thing.
Â
I thought I just point this out to all my Asian peope who might have felt uncomfortable entering a place name Congo's *cough, I mean Conga's.
3) These girls (bartender) work for their tips.
Â
They were extremely FRIENDLY not to be confused with the other kind of "friendly".
They were attentive. i must have gotten checked on about 7 times throughout my stay.
Must have been that Justin Chon driver's license I showed them when they ID'd me.
   Sike!  Maybe...
On this day they had 25¢ wings BOGO on any drinks mixed with the first 2 levels of liquor shelf going up.
The drinks were well poured not to be confused with well liquor pour.
These were name brand liquid couragement.
You definitely got your value's worth.
I did what no self respecting person should ever do...
Tried to order every type of wings they had in the place...
26 MotherF--king flavors! Â
The MUST TRIES...
A) Island Heat - Sweet and slight tang flavor that is served with a banana mango ranch sauce on the side. Â AHH MAZE ZING!
B) Cranberry Honey Mustard - Lighy and sweet flavor with a limey like ranch sauce. Â
C) Super Hot - Â These wings didn't get hot until the 4th bite of chicken. Â Then the heat would not stop like a runny furnace in July. Â That is the way I like it drippy nostrils and all.
AVOID...the Thai Chile flavored wings.
It tasted like WARM Housing sauce.
For all my non-Asians, Hoisin sauce is used on seafood...now imagine that on wings.
You must be trying to self induce a nice blend of stool movement trying to taste all of these sauces....
I made it through 4 flavors...10 Â regular sized wings per basket ($2.50)
4 drinks and 32 wings later...
I was full, tipsy and definitely had to run 5 miles to work off all this fat.
I probably should have tried more than just wings but I think I was trying to out do that Japanese guy that wins eating contests.
I couldn't...not by a long shot.
Envy? Â You betcha.
The space upstairs is a lounge area with minimal space for dining. Â I will have to check up on that on my next visit.
Bell Boulevard is about to get even more DRUNK.
White girls! Wooooohooooo!
Came here with some friends who had a Groupon deal for this place. It included 20 wings, 2 orders of fries, and a pitcher of beer or sangria (we opted for the sangria). We decided to add more food to the order, as we weren't sure all 8 of us would be satisfied. So, we ordered 30 more wings and a chicken quesadilla. There are quite a few sauces/rubs to choose from for the wings, so we went with Parmesan Garlic (my favorite from B Dubs), BBQ, Teriyaki, Honey Dipped, and mild Buffalo.
The wings were decent, albeit on the smaller side. The parmesan garlic was definitely not as good here compared to BWW, and the others were just ok (except the honey, that was just weird). The blackened fries were pretty good, and came with ketchup and thousand island dressing on the side. The quesadilla was OK as well, but I was surprised there wasn't guac on the side.
Overall, we had a decent experience here, although the service could have been better.
The wings and the DJ in the place give it the rating. Â The wings were average+, we have all had better. Â The DJ and the music upstairs were pumping all night. Â I went for two beers and a 10-pack (wings) after work and wound up staying till the AM. Â So yes I had a good time. Â Unfortunately, the bar service leaves a lot to be desired. Â Bar maids were too busy chatting by the register to understand what customer service is all about; they need some real basic training. Â I was dehydrated at least 3X the night that I went and practically had to yell at these girls to get a drink. Â One was too concerned with her birthday to give a hoot and just seemed to care about her own agenda. Â She actually looked annoyed when I told her that I needed a drink. Â Did anyone tell her that she was working or maybe she is the boss and can pick who she will service. Â If she worked for me, she'd be out!!!!! Â Although I must say that Anita had a handle on what was going on and was able to do her job on both floors better than the other two put together behind the downstairs bar!! Â If the bar maids wake-up, I'll improve the rating. Maybe.....the owner should pay attention to what is going on; he obviously wasn't eavesdropping when I was there.
Review Source:Stumbled upon Conga one night when I was in the mood for wings and beer. The beer selection was ok at best and the wings were tasty. I had the mild wings. They tasted good going down but for the next couple of days, things were not going well in my belly, if you know what I mean.
On a positive note, the staff is really friendly and attentive.
About 7 months ago I bought a Groupon deal for this place. $39 got me 2 pitchers of beer, abundant amount of wings and 2 basket of fries.
I made my grand entrance like I always do and told my 3 friends "I hope this place is good, it's new and has no reviews on Yelp. Cause you know my ass will be quick to Yelp it" Little did I know the owner was there eavesdropping.
So what did he do ? Give Free tacos, quesadillas, wings on top of wings, free complimentary shots and sangrias. True VIP treatment, just by saying the magic words "YELP". And here I am JUST Yelping my delightful experience 7 months later.
I'm not Yelping for the VIP treatment, it fact I have been here numerous times and have been satisfied each time. The waitresses are attentive, the wings and fries are REALLLLLLLLLLY good and the alcohol is plentiful. They also give Free Ladies Night bracelets that gets you open bar access on Thursday nights.
Simply stated, Conga's deserves the 5 stars.
Dropped into Conga's on a random Wednesday because the sign outside said 2 for 1 drinks all night. Wherever I was headed that night my plans immediately changed. My friends and I all had a couple drinks and after a while the bartender who was running the entire place by herself and doing an awesome job gave up free tortillas with salsa. She said it was homemade and you could tell. The tortillas were delicious. Eventually moved from the seating area to the bar and just indulged in their 2 for 1 special. The bartender was amazing, funny and made strong drinks FTW.
I didn't try any of the food besides the chips and salsa but I will be back for more.
Been to congas twice now, once on a friday and once on sunday night. Its a lively spot, good music in the background. The service is good. Sweet potato fries....awesome! The fishbowls are sttttrooongggg barely made it through the rum punch. they have fishbowl special on tue my friend and I plan on going one night. overall i'm a fan and plan on being a regular!
Review Source:Okay, so traveling to further parts of long island, manhattan, and other states for good wings was a thing, until i found one in my back yard, literally. so i got a groupon, yay! $20 for $40, you'd think that'd be enough for wings right? NO! omg it was so good, me and a few friends ended up spend another $400 on top of the groupon to eat everything on the menu. Tacos, stupendous, wings -- chip rubbed, naked with sauce to dip, guac and salsa and all the other dips, yummy, fries, blacken or flavored fries (not my fave but still tasty). drooling yet? philly cheese steak, calamari, burger, mozzarella sticks, quesadilla... I swear the waitress must've thought we were crazy. the guys had a few buy one get one happy hour beers but the alcohol didnt exceed $60... yep... we ate A LOT of food.
Don't go on Friday and Saturday nights when the alcoholics and party people want to go get drunk on alcohol you can buy from the supermarket or liquor store. GO every other time and day to enjoy putting on those 5 extra worthy pounds! LOVE okay, now i'm drooling!
This place is Awesome with a capital A!! Â Best wings in the neighborhood, and I've been around!! Â Sunday & Mondays they have .25 cent wings. Â They have soooo many varieties!! Â So meaty, and every flavor I've tried is delicious!! Â My personal fave- Jack Daniels. Â
Went with friends and ordered fishbowls....wow!! Â We could hardly walk out of their straight after just ONE!!! Mojitos are pretty good too. Â Drinks are great, waitresses are very friendly, and the service is pretty good. Â Music selection is perfect for me.
Went once with a groupon and a few times without a groupon. Â They don't treat you any different! I love love love this place!!
I have to start off with some honesty.....
The drinks if you are looking because fwy advertise it SUCKS...... It has to be the waitress who does not know how to serve great tasting drinks... I had to order two different drinks and they came out tasting like nothing.
It's Friday the weather is nice minus the cold..... It was a lol crowd but not enough seats.... The couches that have the pillows are dirty and they had two waitresses and one bus boy and about 30 people in a rectangle shape place.... The upstairs is suppose to b a club/lounge/VIP
Two stars because the DJ was actually good but the music is downstairs right in you ear.....
The fishbowl are baby size the pics that are display does not show there true size. The wings were okay but if u want to just pre game at the bar I advise you do that much....
I crave the salsa and chips that they give at this place. I love their deals, esp on Sunday. $1 jello shots, $2 or 3 miller lite draft, $4 cuervo shots, $5 jagerbombs, and 25 cent wings. i dont like all the flavors for the wings, but I like the hottest one-- awesome with beer. Â All in all, awesome place.
Review Source:Seriously, Congas on Bell is getting 4-5 star organic reviews?
This place is an overpriced dive (like most of Bell)
It has the potential to be great but the food is awful and diarrhea inducing.
The one redeeming quality is that their mixed drinks are heavy. They aren't really that GOOD but they do pack in the booze.
Their tap selection is OK but they seem to be out of most of them whenever you want one.
The service is kind of slow and their bartenders seem really preoccupied.
The happy hour drink deal is on the money.
This is a place to hang out in to wait for someone and get a cheap buzz on but do not make it a destination spot on bell.
It also smells like old Mexican food/old Mexicans.
So many different wing options! Â I thank you, Conga's for introducing me to over 20 different types of wing flavors. Â Barbecue? Â Spicy? Â Ha! Â That's kid stuff. Â The adventurous come for Lousiana, Ranch, Blackened, dry rubs, and on & on. Â
However...
Monday Night Football specials are kind of bogus - they end at 7p... BEFORE game time (womp, womp). Â So I don't frequent Conga's every Monday night, unless I have true wing craving.
The service also keeps this rating down. Â Unfortunately, the watiresses and bartenders are rude. Â They love their regulars (which we can all understand), but they just don't provide adequate service to the rest of the patrons. Â And if there's a rush, you may as well ask if you can grab your own food from the kitchen...
Seating is a problem. Â It's limited and uncomfortable. Â
It's the wings that keep me coming back and hoping this place will get better in other categories.
I Stopped by w friends on a tuesday , there were no tables available so we sat at the bar. Â I was invited by a friend who happened to have purchase a groupon deal for the place.
Once seated we ordered some food , we started w a Pitcher of Stella , can't go wrong w/ beer only thing that would have made it better is if the beer was colder.
They start u off with some chips & salsa , not bad decent salsa which happens to be house made.
For our food we started w the Chicken wings (1) St Louis BBQ , these were good nice taste  (2) Jack Daniels were ok ... I've had better as far as the "jack daniels" flavored goes.
Next it was the Fries (1) Blackend .. really good fries , specially if u like them spice these have a nice kick to them (2) the regular fries were good  both come w the same dipping sauce , the pink sauce goes better w the regular fries the ketchup w the blackend fries.
& finally the Taco Platter  this comes w/ 2 hard shell Beef tacos , pretty good & a soft Chicken taco ..I enjoyed the chicken best.
Since we had the deal , we didnt need to pay anything extra other than the tip & tax , looking at the prices tho they are decent.
Nice place , not too big good friendly service ... they offfer some dancing in the upstairs level didnt get to check this out since it was closed but am sure I will return some other time.
Came to Conga's with a groupon - $30 for 2 pitchers, 2 fries, 20 wings and 1 taco platter.
Have to say, groupon was a great way for me to try this place out and I now know I will be going back for sure!
They have some really great deals throughout the week (Thursday is ladies night!)....enjoyed the music and the staff was super friendly.
Now, about the food: Surprisingly VERY good! Quality wings with some really great rubs and sauces. We had 10 wings with Cajun rub and 10 with Cranberry Honey Mustard. So Good!!
Tacos were tasty as well. Their salsa is reeeaally good so it made the taco's really flavorful. Blackened french fries....def the way to go.
Not sure how this place is on the weekend (went on a tuesday) but def on my list of places to come back to!
My husband and I went there with some friends because I had a groupon. Â The groupon offered us 20 wings, 2 orders of fries, a taco sampler plate (4 tacos) and 2 pitchers of beer. They have a large variety of wing flavors and we got to choose 2. One flavor we chose was Jack Daniels sauce & the other was a lemon pepper dry rub. I must say, the lemon pepper dry rub was very tasty and better than the Jack Daniels sauce. One friend doesn't drink beer so we were given the option of a pitcher of margaritas or sangria. We chose sangria, which was good. They also served chips and salsa as an appetizer to all the customers.
I woulod definitely go back. Our waitress said that on Sundays and Mondays the wings are 25 cents each, so a basket of wings would be $2.50.
I was very sad when Brews Brothers closed because that was one of my go-to places on Bell but Conga's is a great replacement! When you sit at the bar or at the few tables with benches they give you chips and salsa to snack on, so cool and tasty too! They have great drink specials different nights of the week. I came here with 2 of my friends and we ordered an appetizer platter to share and it was huge! It was only $12.99 and included mozzarella sticks, chicken fingers, wings, onion rings, and fries. It was so much that the three of us couldn't finish it!
The upstairs has a DJ but the dance floor was pretty dead on the night that I went, could have just been an off night! Definitely stop by for a fun time and some good food and drinks.
I have visited Conga's twice--once on a Friday night and the other on Saturday, Halloween weekend. Conga's gets crowded and tables often fill up. On Halloween weekend, majority of the tables in the bar/restaurant were reserved so we decided to leave and eat elsewhere so we could sit at a table.
However, we were able to get a table when we visited on the Friday. We were quickly served the free homemade salsa and chips, which were decent. I personally enjoyed the chips and salsa because they were salty and the salsa was not out of a jar. (But, i was also extremely hungry by the time we sat down.) When our chips arrived, we tried to order wings from the server, but he instructed us to wait for one of the waitresses. She never came around to our table, so one of my friends went up to the bar to order. It wasn't until at least 5 minutes later when a waitress arrived and asked for our order. When we explained that one of us already went up to the bar, she gave the excuse that she isn't a waitress but a bartender. I didn't mind, but a simple apology or "oh, okay," would have just sufficed.
We ordered hot wings, and they were hot, which was awesome. I hate when wings are not hot! They were crispy and not soggy. And since I'm more of a beer drinker, I had my Blue Moon. However, their fishbowls seemed popular. I would definitely try it the next time I visit, though.
The live DJ was good. He is located upstairs and is usually there himself with a security guard. There is also a smaller bar located upstairs. Although the bar downstairs may be crowded, nobody really goes upstairs to dance. My friends and I danced, though. But, it was just us with one other couple. I really did wish the dancing was more lively. If you visit, avoid holidays so you can get a table and bring friends to dance!
Went here on a week night with hubby on a groupon. Service was very good. Attentive staff/barmaid. Good happy hours varies each week night. Music during happy hr is freestyle music, which I love. The food however is  good at best. We had chicken wings in a garlic parmesan flavor and hot buffalo wings, not good at all. We also had tacos of ground beef and chicken not good either not tasty or flavorful. The chips and salsa that they give you were also not that good. The salsa is rather sweet which to me tasted similar to ketchup, gross. The sangria however was very good I must say.Probably won't return.
Review Source:it was a-okay. Â fun vibe and such a great great staff. Â
butttttttt, the beer on tap tastes kinda watered down. Â & the wings were a little disappointing. Â the jack daniels wings tasted really funky (not in a good way). Â & the adobo wings sounded like they would taste outta this world... but, it was kinda just okay. Â however, i did really enjoy the blackened wings!
great happy hr prices. Â also, i really enjoyed the free chips and salsa. Â actually pretty darn good!
Stopped by here because of their 4-8pm hh (2 for 1 appetizers and drinks) while my friend and I were waiting for Staples to makes a copy of a small booklet. This is going to be our new place now. :) While the bartender wasn't as attentive as I would normally like her/him to be, their hh is worth it. Plus, they have Angry Orchard on draft--this is becoming my new girly favorite of a beer.
We got munchy afterwards and ordered chicken empanadas and 10 spicy Adobo wings. The empanadas were huge for about $2 a piece and was overfilled with chicken. I also really liked the wings because they were real and meaty.
In the end, our bill for 3 drinks a piece and the food, came out to $42 (with tax and tip). What a steal. :)
I wish we had stumbled upon this place early, even though it is right next to Press and Safari. This is a better place to be a regular at.
4 stars in the dive bar category! Yeah its a dive bar and the food is just OK but the servers are super friendly and attentive every time I've been in. Great happy hour specials and big TV's to watch the game. Look for the Groupon special which runs almost every weeknight and for $30 includes 2 pitches of beer, 30 wings, and 2 baskets of fries! At least when your to stuffed to move and there is hot sauce all over your face the server will know to bring wet naps. I'd go back just for the service. I wish they would open the outdoor patio it looks like it would be fun on a nice night.
Review Source:My girlfriend and I decided to celebrate our last day of finals (ever!) as college students over at this bar. First impression, they go by the books when it comes to I.D.'s While I had my "golden ticket" to enter, my friend left hers back at home.
Now, I know this place serves alcohol, but it also appears to be a restaurant, therefore, as paying customers, I thought they'd let it slide.. Guess not. So we had to make the tiresome round trip to retrieve her I.D. When we came back the bartender apologized for being so strict. She was very nice and took good care of our needs, AKA she supplied us with our orders in a timely manner.
Second impression, the place doesn't attract much business on weeknights. It was very empty, with only a few patrons sitting at the bar. We decided to stay situated in the lounge area and order food & drinks from there. The set-up was nice because the entrance is always kept open, supposedly to seem more inviting, which allowed continuous flow of air into the establishment. Big thumbs up for that.
We ordered the average bar fare (cheese quesadillas, tacos) alongside our 2 fish bowls. This was our first time to try fish bowls (basically large containers filled with alcohol, nothing you haven't seen before) so we had high expectations. Congas had great deals for all of their drinks, including the bowls, which were only $9 each. However, they aren't as big as we previously thought. That was a mistake on my part to underestimate the amount of alcohol I was consuming..which I paid for in the end... Anyways, I'll get to that in a second.
The food was average at best. One thing that new customers may overlook that I'd like to highlight is their free unlimited homemade chips & salsa! Take full advantage of those babies, they were delicious!
We ordered Sex on the Beach and Blue Hawaiian fish bowls which were both sweet and not too strong. Unfortunately, I couldn't calculate how many drinks were equivalent to each fish bowl, but I do know they were too much for little ol' me. I ended up feeling nauseous after consuming 3/4 of my bowl and knowing I could not make it to the bathroom, I ended up regurgitating it all back into my fish bowl.. Not one of my best moments.
To sum it all up, Congas is a nice, casual spot for cheap drink specials, but if I were you, I would just skip the food. One last tip, don't pull a Jiawen and forget your I.D. like my friend did!
Final Verdict: 3 stars ***
The wings are good aka not dried up and tiny. Â Meaty with a hearty fill of whatever sauce you order.
The pitchers here arent pitcher, it looks like they use those buckets that you use on the beach to gather sand to make a castle. Â Thanks for the 2000 calorie dinner. Â It was awesome.
Sunday and Monday - quarter wings
Tuesday - dollar beers.
Well played.
Happy eating, suckers.
The wings here are bangin! On Mondays, wings are 25 cents each. They have a bunch of flavors to choose from. Some place do 10 cent wings but they suck. They're usually tiny and dry as hell. At Conga's, the wings are juicy and full of flavor. I also had a basket of fries which were pretty bangin too. Their dipping sauce is good. The bartender here is very friendly. She could make some pretty awesome specialty cocktails. They got Fire Rock Pale Ale on tap, Hoegaarden, Sam Adams, Guinness, and a couple of others one I can't remember.
Verdict - They have different specials every night. They got a DJ on Friday and Saturday nights. What I like most about Conga's now is that they made big changes. Conga's use to be Brews Brothers which by the way sucked! New owner came in and took it over, got rid of the beer pong table and set up a few comfortable lounge seats. Brews Brothers back then was just lame. They were banking on their Margaritas. I mean come on, your name is Brews Brothers! Specialize in good beers on tap or somethin. Conga's is a pretty good bar on Bell. The service, food, and drinks are excellent. You won't see any annoying underage kids in here like before.
So apparently this place use to be brews brothers and now they changed it to Conga's. I was recently here for my sisters birthday celebration on a Friday night. My brother in law reserved the upstairs tables by the DJ for my sisters birthday. It was my first time here and I wasn't sure what to expect. People didn't really start arriving until about 11:30pm and so that when the party really started. The DJ started playing a lot of old reggae songs which I love and lot of bachata and merengue. I don't know if they always have the same DJ but the one that was there the night I went, was really good. He played a great variety of music. I will definitely return here =)
Review Source:This is my first review on Yelp after being on it so many years. Conga's is a fairly new establishment on the dying Bell Blvd., and it's the first reason I've had in years to come back to the street that I enjoyed back in my early twenties. I'm writing a review in hopes that Congas doesn't go the way of Margarita's and Brews Brothers which preceeded it.
While I might be speaking a bit prematurely, primarily because I tend to rush here after work on weekdays, thus I am unable to speak on how the place is on weekends (hence why I'll cautiously save that last star for when I visit on a Saturday night), I'll happily review what I've observed in my three off-peak visits. What I can tell you is that their drinks are generous, their daily specials don't feel cheap, and you get all of that with a smile on your face. In terms of decor, it won't blow your mind, but it's comfortable for certain.
I'd be pretty pissed to see this place go under, so do yourself a favor and sneak over here, and I'm sure it won't be difficult at all to grow fond of this place. I look forward to more stumbles while walking down Bell Blvd.
Safe drinking!
UPDATE: I am updating from a 4 to a 5 star. Due to the prices being astonishingly cheap every day of the week, Congas, for better or worse, has been considered home for many bar goers such as myself, thus seriously ramping up in traffic over the past few months. Be that as it may, the employees have handled this increase in traffic without a hitch, and are even able to greet me using my first name every time I enter the place. This truly is the bar "where everybody knows your name". And for that, they own up the 5 stars.
I'd also like to point out that I have tried many flavors of the wings, and I have yet to have one that disappoints. The wings and apps are always cooked to perfection here; never overcooked, never on the raw side. Well done, guys. You've found yourself a regular.
I had my 21st birthday party last night. And let me tell you, it was amazing. All the bartenders there were ridiculously friendly and did everything possible to make me and my 7 guests feel welcome. There's a really nice dance floor with a completely separate bar on the second floor with a wall of windows that overlook the street. The wings were amazing! And since it was my birthday, they gave us 2 bottle with bottle service. Honestly It was the most fun I've had in a very long time. Everything was fantastic =]
Review Source:I have hit Congas at least a half dozen times, on different dates, and I'm very impressed with the hospitality, service and reasonable prices (okay the lady bartenders are really hot too!!). The owners, Ryan and Ava are great hosts making you feel welcomed from the second you enter the bar. Â The people are mixed, approachable and friendly. Â I've ordered the Wings in a variety of flavors and they're especially tasty on Sundays and Mondays for just 25 cents a wing! The happy hour and weekday night drink specials are also easy on the wallet. I tend to stick to draft beers but on Thursday night the Mojito pitchers are awesome. Love the Coconut Mojito! It can get crowded on Friday and Saturday nights but I think that's a positive sign of popularity. Security is also very good. Congas is ranked among one of my favorite bars in Queens.
Review Source:A friend suggested Conga's for a last-minute birthday party. I had no idea this place existed (is it new?); then again, I haven't frequented Bayside much aside from a couple of restaurants and Martha's Bakery. We arrived around 10 and immediately started drinking. The bartenders were very friendly and even bought my friend a shot because his name was "Jackie Chan" with a "y"! At around 10, the DJ was still playing Latin music, but when it hit around 11, the hip hop came on (old school and new), and the drunken dancing began! Luckily I was one of the few sober ones, so I could tell everyone was having an awesome time, and so was I! I can't say much about the food because I didn't get any, but seeing other Yelpers' reviews about their wings, I am tempted to try. Also, they have karaoke night...what! You got me, Conga's!
Review Source:Funny story. I was expecting to go to Blues Brothers but when my friends said Conga's I was skeptical. I asked around at Martha's Bakery where I was waiting and none of the staff knew where it was. So I made a bold move. Went to Blues Brothers and wasnt prepared for what was to come.
My friends and I sat in a row along the wall talking over each other and hopping around to talk because there was no across-table-seating, (is that even a term?). Thursday night, no ladies night, but Sangria was made well, smallest pitcher I've seen though, swore it was a pint at first. The DJ was bipolar switching from "Island music" to "projects music" and thensome.
Tips: If you come before 10 you dont have to deal with a bouncer. Although my friend looked like he enjoyed the frisking.
In addition, you get "prime" seating, for what its worth.
Pluses:
Service was fantastic. I felt like we were treated like VIPS with all the attention we got.
Complimentary chips and salsa.
My friends had fun which is what counts so you get 4 stars Conga's.
Dont let it go to your head.
