I have eaten Puerto Rican food all my life. Â I gotta say I Â am unsatisfied with the flavor of the food here. Â The beans especially were bland, the meal took a long time to get to our table, even with a reservation we had to wait 30 minutes to be seated, the room is crowded. Â Now I will say this, the idea of the place is very nice. Â The decor was beautiful. Â The staff very friendly. Â But please fix the food delivery time and flavor.
Review Source:Praise the Lord, Coquito's has re-opened! The food is excellent here, whether simpler fare like the delicious salad with salmon or (my favorite) the Cuban sandwich or fancier dishes like the mofongo (out of this world), pernil, or any fish entree. The brunches on Sunday are my favorite. And the drinks!?! Best bartenders who mix up a mean mojito or margarita. And the prices are very reasonable; don't tell the owners, but I'd pay more!
But it's not only the food, the atmosphere and music make the place. When I walk in there, I feel like I'm in some hip restaurant in Manhattan or Brooklyn, surrounded by folks of all walks of life who are ready to eat well, have fun, and haer amazing music. If you haven't been yet, go tonight!
